Our wedding was on Halloween night and he did the perfect job blending in great dance music with thematically spooky songs as well. He took silly requests from our friends and was even able to procure an obscure song for the mother-son dance. It began with you not being able to be located 5 minutes prior to our ceremony to mic up our officiant, and then entering the home numerous times to get things without asking. Had this been a traditional venue those things would have not been okay you would've gone to the commons areas along with others. After spending hours perfectly curating the music it was truly disappointing, when you played the wrong song for my dad and I to walk down the aisle. To end the night you were found sleeping in your car on multiple occasions, and then taking nearly 2 hours to clean up. I do not feel like as the bride, and paying customer I should have to be clear that just because it is a family friends home that venue rules still apply. I have set dance floors in the past and was completely willing to do it alone, but Jamar and Jasmine stayed anyways to reset exactly where the bride wanted it. No complaints, no comments, just hard work and dedication to their clients and vendor partners. Truly went a long way on a stressful day - Thank you CORT!

LAST MINUTE BOOKING, EXCELLENT COMMUNICATION! The DJ Protips I recieved: -Find someone who will communicated often and effectively (10/10) -Find a DJ who will listen to your concerns (10/10) -Find a DJ that will keep up with your preferred method of communication (phone, emails, texts, etc) (11/10) -Does his style match yours? (10/10 for working with our random music tastes) -What will he/she provide? (10/10) Provided more for less Seriously, I'm lost for words on how much I loved our DJ Jeff. We were gifted some money last minute and were able to book a DJ. BUT OH NO! We were only weeks out from our wedding and had to start looking for one! I found Jeff through a friend of ours and messaged him. Let it be known that I messaged at least 5 DJs. Not only was Jeff the first to respond. (Next Day) He was available! (The other DJs took 3-5 days to decline and one up to a week later) Seriously, he was able to hash out what he brought, what he did, and what his services are within 2 days of my initial inquiry. I literally had more communication with him in a week than I did with my venue over 8 months. His music selections were PERFECT. We filled a general idea of what kind of music we liked and he worked around that. FANTASTIC communication, I can't stress that enough. Also, he was a charismatic and charming as an MC, and came dressed very nicely for the gig. Seriously professional work. I can't recommend this guy enough. Choosing a DJ for our wedding was the scariest task, it's not a vendor you can do a taste test with or look at pictures or an online portfolio. We interviewed Jeff and another DJ and the only advice people could give us is "go with the vibe of the conversation". While this advice felt useless it was so true! Our first call with Jeff was about 15 minutes and he was so laid back and go with the flow kind of guy. We really like him and the way the conversation went so we crossed our fingers and booked him. Little did we know, Jeff had the hardest job of the big day. Our wedding officiant was unable to come so it was on Jeff to virtually bring in our officiant to perform our ceremony. The sound was so clear and there was not a single hiccup! My sisters had also requested to do a video/picture speech, requiring a projector and screen. Jeff had all of this handled (in a totally separate part of the venue). Lastly, our dancing was outside. Not only did Jeff beautifully handle all these complicated requests, but he delivered in 3 different locations. On top of it all he played amazing music and kept our dance floor going all night. We had no idea how important our DJ was going to be, and we are so grateful we hired Jeff. read more

We hired Jeff as our wedding DJ after meeting with him and getting nothing but good vibes. He was very organized and gave the clear impression of someone who has done this a million times. Experience matters and in our case, Jeff delivered on all fronts. Leading up the event, Jeff had friendly reminders for us to complete his well-organized song planning sheet. We struggled to make selections but he was helpful at every turn. Once everything was set, Jeff confirmed with us and on the wedding day things went off without a hitch. He played the part of MC, and even orchestrated a slide show and a little surprise performance. While we hand-picked a bunch of music, Jeff had the experience to take our suggestions and interweave requests from the audience to keep the party rolling well into the night. DJ Jeff was simply amazing. He was extremely accommodating on very short notice and he made the whole booking process easy, I hired him for my daughter's 16th birthday party and I kept emailing him suggestions of music to play for the evening. He graciously accepted all the suggestions and played the majority throughout the evening. He also took requests during the party and made sure he played those as time allowed. DJ Jeff easily blended with the party and guests and was diplomatic in his interactions with everyone, of all ages. The best part was receiving emails and phone calls in the days following the party with compliments about the event and every single one mentioned the fantastic music. He was hands down one of the best vendors we worked with. Wedding: First off let me say our wedding party and family situation was not particularly ideal. From the sneak peak photos i've seen, you would never have known that there was any tension or any stress. Travis was PATIENT even when I was not, he was courteous and On time - again even when we were running a bit behind. Another thing I noticed about Travis that I really appreciated, is that he wasn't there to just snap a camera, if he didn't like the branches on the ground, he cleared them out. It wasn't just about lining up and taking the photo, he was specific about locations and specific about lighting because he wants to truly wants to give the best. Okay, so now I'm going to say something a little weird- When it came time to the actual ceremony, as well as reception, I didn't know where he was- and I mean that in the ABSOLUTE BEST way possible! There wasn't a camera shoved into my face, he wasn't interrupting the flow of the day, or intruding on our guests good times, I would see him in one corner of the room one second, and a minute later in another, it seemed like he was always moving, and when it came time for our sunset photos he politely pulled us aside, and captured yet more beautiful images. Post Wedding: So we got married Last Saturday (yey) :P and already we have sneak peak photos! THEY ARE GORGEOUS, Clean and tasteful! They are true to Me and Chris which was really important to us, He got us in our best moments and gave us the keepsake of a lifetime, we are excited to say the least to see the rest! We had the reflective mirror Photo Booth option and it was great bc the mirror was a great way for family and friends to see each other while the photos were being taken. You have the option to print however many copies of the photo strip once taken and email them to an individual. The pictures taken had great lighting. Color is high quality. Loved the photos taken.

She went above and beyond the "day of" role and was the best money we spent on our wedding. We communicated frequently the months leading up to the wedding, she ran our ceremony rehearsal the night before, and she worked a 15+ hour day the day of the wedding making sure everything was just how I envisioned it. She also provided a wedding day timeline and contacted vendors for me, among many other tasks I don't have room to list here. I was a type-A (read, anal) bride with a very clear vision and a tiny budget by Seattle standards ($15,000). Kirstie was extremely professional, prompt, and easy to work with before the wedding and during. Although she was planning many weddings at one time, she made me feel like mine was the only one. I picked out several of my vendors myself becuase I knew exactly what I wanted, but Kirstie gave suggestions for the ones I didn't have, and they were all amazing! She has great connections. The set-up for my wedding was tough. There is nothing at Golden Gardens so everything had to be brought in and set up the day of (and taken down and cleaned, which Kirstie did). I also had a lot of DIY details that I wanted arranged a very specific way. Kirstie and her crew worked a crazy, long day arranging flowers, setting up tables, hanging decor, getting everyone in order, etc. Your wedding day is such a blur that you need to spend time enjoying your guests, your new spouse, and just enjoying the moment. You don't want to worry about decor, music, food, etc. You will not be disappointed with Kirstie - she can do as much or as little as you want and need depending on your budget and vision.
