So this is the worst company we have ever dealt with. My husband and I had a 2025 Jeep wrangler transported from Florida to Colorado. We contracted with this company and were given a price. A few days before pickup we received a call that they had found a carrier but the price had increased. With little options we approved. Then we received a text offering an upsell "safer option " including top carry and VIP phone access which we paid for. What a joke. There is no phone. When you call them you get a message that their system is down. This went on for weeks. Of course if you call them for a quote they pick up right away. So the "top carry" never happened. They placed the Jeep on a low level and it sustained $9500 dollars worth of damage to the top. Be advised if your vehicle sustains any damage you will be filling a claim with your own insurance company. These cars are considered "cargo " and the usual automobile insurance policies don't apply. You are at the mercy of the carrier's cargo deductible which you need to chase down separately in addition to chasing down their insurance company for the remainder. Forget diminished value or rental car coverage. SGT will be of zero assistance. In fact you will not be able to get in touch with them. The only time they called (which was on multiple occasions) was to offer us money to take down negative reviews . I don't think so. They couldn't pay me enough You will see their AI generated response below. They don't tell you that they took my money for a top carry upsell but had no intention of notifying the carrier so THEY are directly responsible for the damage. And they will not refund that charge . They don't tell you that once you pay you will not be able to contact them. You will get a recorded message that their phone system is down. ALL THE TIME ! I guess that's cheaper than hiring a person. They don't tell you that they manipulate reviews by offering payouts to people that post negative reviews. I'll look into that further but I believe that is a violation of FTC guidelines and if so I will be reporting it. If you look at other online reviews that have NOT been bought off you will see other clients have had similar experiences. By then it was already dark, making it impossible to properly inspect the vehicle before handing it over. Then things got worse. For the next SEVEN DAYS, I watched my Tesla sit unmoved in the transporter's parking lot through the Tesla app. During that entire time, I repeatedly tried contacting Ozuu Express, but none of their phone numbers worked. When I contacted SGT instead, their phone system suddenly had a recording claiming they were experiencing phone issues and directing customers to online chat support. Under no circumstances use SGT for car shipping. Here's why: - I paid for "guaranteed delivery" but they didn't honor it - while on an international business trip they called me four (separate) times to try to shift the pickup date around to make it cheaper for the carrier (the most active SGT has been throughout the entire process - shows you where the priority is!) They don't ask - they just shift the date to whenever they want. - The rig my car was on broke down on the side of the highway in a random state on the way. I told SGT this (I have a tracker) on Wednesday. They blew me off. I called again Thursday. Blown off, again. By the third day it was illegally unloaded on the side of the turnpike they finally tried to contact the carrier. What the hell were they doing the other two days? - The carrier and his dispatcher decided to try to cover this all up (assisted by SGT's total neglect of their responsibilities), so it's literally Monday now - six days delayed - and I've been texting the carrier directly and monitoring the location of my car myself negotiating to get it delivered. SGT has disappeared and done nothing. - My car will have been delayed, unloaded without my signature, and driven on a rig SGT will not even have the correct information for (it's being put on some random new truck - a I have negotiated myself), seven or eight days delayed by the time it gets to its destination. They will want you to pay for their services up-front, too, again, unlike other brokerages. Donʻt fall for it. In my case, I attempted to "validate" their agreement by giving them my payment information, but their website malfunctioned and wouldnʻt complete the transaction - or at least thatʻs what the website said. SGT Auto Transport told me that they would not move ahead with getting me a car transporter until my agreement was validated. They did nothing. I needed to move ahead, so I contacted other brokerages, who worked wonders and got my car transport arranged. I informed SGT of this as a courtesy, and promptly was slapped with a $199 cancellation fee. I asked for a refund, but they refused. As an update to the above based on Stefanoʻs response to my initial review, I have worked with reputable car transport companies, and they have successfully and in good faith worked with me. Not so with SGT. SGTʻs broken website refused to accept my valid credit card to complete their "agreement" that they indicated had to be "validated" by credit card to be operational. In other words, there was no mutual agreement. SGT didnʻt move forward with anything - no effort to find a car transport and no effort to call me back in a timely fashion. Then the driver tells me Sunday, but probably Monday, and says he doesn't work on the weekend and that I should rent a car! - My repeated calls to SGT all day long for 2 days go unanswered, their phone lines are down (how convenient) and they are super unproductive. I reach a person in sales who tells me they will call back and they never do. - The car arrives massively late the next day. The car had all of my clothes and such and so I was without everything. - The driver requires me to pay in cash (seriously?) so I had to then go to various ATMs to gather all the cash to pay. Throughout the entire month, I proactively followed up multiple times asking for status updates and confirmation that a carrier had been secured. We didn't receive our car until 5 days later after it had been detoured to Portland and Seattle - causing 5 additional days of rental car expense 5) No response from truck driver by text nor cell phone, no communication from SGT or carrier 6) SGT suggests you need to lock in contract to "assure" price and transport, but they really don't start looking for drivers until eleventh hour. 7) You cannot cancel the contract without $200 penalty even if they can't find a carrier to transport until the entire pick up window has passed 8) The contract is extensive and essentially has ZERO protections for the customer. In short, this "broker" has curated its reviews on its website. Look around the net and you will see similar experiences. For the price we ultimately paid for this wild joy ride our car took around the country, we could have driven round trip in less time and FAR less expense (including hotels, gas, etc.) had we never used them. My vehicle was delivered safely, there was no discrepancies when it came to the cost (the price I was told initially was the price I paid, there were no hidden fees, changes or anything like that). I also like that you can check online to see the status of your delivery. The issue I had was my car was scheduled to be picked up 2/9, the driver called when he was couple minutes away and my pickup person was out of reach. The driver would not work with me at all, so my car wasn't picked up from the parking lot where it was. This delayed delivery by 3 days which was such an inconvenience. I called and booked this open transport and my dates changed and they increased the cost by 100 dollars. I told them I would not be present on the new date to receive and asked about storage at the destination delivery date. They said they could not do that. I tried other options like friends etc but no luck so I cancelled and booked another carrier. I got charged 199 dollars for the cancellation. Neve disclosed when I booked. In the fine print (i didnt read) it says if they have a booking with a driver and I cancel they can charge me. I had used this broker before, however the last two times the price was increased just before pick up with some lame excuse. They used L $ L Express Trucking to take my car from Fl. to NJ. Car was supposed to be delivered on 4/30. I am flying on the 29th and get a voice mail that my car had been delivered. I had not arrived home yet. They parked the car on a center divider outside the back gate to my complex, and left the key behind the right wheel. I am 86 years old with some mobility issues and had to retrieve my car at 10pm in the rain. I was lucky that it had not been ticketed and towed. I was told that I could put things in my car like my clothes and such because I was moving out of state then I found out after I left the deposit and they were picking up my car that that was not so so I had to spend another $200 to get my car to destination with my possessions in it. The quote was so low that no carrier wanted to even pick up my car, I'm assuming. The live chat option is great, but not every person can answer your questions anyways. They left my car posted so when I waited the 3 days to avoid the cancellation fee, my new broker could not find a carrier with this company having my vehicle posted everywhere. The new broker stated SGT Auto was increasing the price of of the shipment, without my knowledge. The sales person will lead you on with false promises, but in the end they couldn't even deliver any of those promises. I made a request and received a quote to ship a SUV from VA to CA. I immediately received a quote and finally we agreed on the cost and timing. I had shipped multiple cars with SGT before, 3 of them from CA to VA. I was told 1-3 days for the pickup. I received a call within the 3 day period that they had a carrier (JT TRANS Inc) and the would be picking up the car. However, the cost would be higher since it is a SUV!!! They knew all along that the car is a SUV! The size or the type of the car did not just change over night! Finally they agreed to honor the original cost. The day of the pick up, since I had no news I called them (SGT and the Carrier) up and they told me the pickup is unknown since the carrier needed to do an oil change on their truck! What if I hadn't called? No communications at all from anyone. Due to this problem, we went back and forth for days trying to find another carrier, which was not successful. Finally the car was picked up 7 days later from the original 1-3 day promise! The day of the pickup which was 3-4pm local because 8pm! I had multiple phone calls with SGT, the Carrier and did multiple sessions of chat! Just got the canned responses every time and if I ever got through the phone, got the same type of answers! I hope SGT does more scrutinizing of their carriers and avoid using weak excuses, like they just had to do an oil change! Never heard of an oil change that takes 3-4 days! NOT GOOD. read more

I had an excellent experience with SGT Auto Transport shipping 2 cars in an enclosed trailer from California to Florida. Our cars were picked up within 72 hours of our scheduled date and arrived 9 days later. We were able to reach the driver via text once the cars were picked up so we could contact him ahead of delivery. Do Not Give SGT Your Credit Card #! Hidden Fees Non Refundable... ***DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS AUTO TRANSPORT COMPANY OR GIVE THEM YOUR CREDIT CARD INFORMATION! THEY WILL CHARGE YOUR ACCOUNT WITHOUT TELLING YOU, EVEN IF YOU DON'T USE THEIR SERVICE! THEY ARE NOT THE ONLY COMPANY IN THE AUTO TRANSPORT INDUSTRY DOING THIS*** I am a retired Veteran and contacted this company looking to transport a vehicle to a family member. I put in my credit card information into their website / app to get a quote and as "simply a placeholder (no charge) in the event that a driver was found. MY UNDERSTANDING WAS that once they found a driver who commits to "perform the job" (as well as a final price being agreed upon), then I would be charged accordingly. Days later, SGT sent me an email informing me that they charged my Credit Card $72.00 without confirming with me that they had found a driver (or whom that driver/company was/or that i even still needed a driver). Bottomline: They did not contact me to negotiate a final price nor to get final authorization. This happened a day after I had already found a driver from another company (which I believe that they knew already since all of these companies have the same Nationwide Prospective Customer Software System (Board) and have visibility on everyone Nationwide requesting this type of transport service). When I called SGT and told them that I was charged $72.00 and asked them to make a correction, the person on the phone seemed to concur. Almost as soon as I hung up the phone, I received another email informing that I was being charged again (an additional $77.00). When I called the person back to find out what was going on, the person refused to reverse either charge, stating that the company was entitled to both charges per the contract (WHA...?????). As a result, I had to cancel my Credit Card and I am also out $149.00 (+ the cost of interest until the bill is paid). A day later, I received a phone call from a woman after putting in a complaint with the Better Business Bureau (the business LLC is located in Bohemia NY as per Google). The woman proceeded to re-state the company's position (she wanted me to remove the post from the BBB's Website), and informed me that I was not entitled to a reversal of charges. She insisted that SGT was entitled to "both charges." She also tried to offer some kind of compromise credit for (I believe) future services (the most unbelievably brazen and outrageous part of the entire experience with this company). I refused, informing her that did not intend to ever use SGT again. The customer service was excellent. They used email, chat, or phone--and all were helpful. I had to change the date of my pickup three times and it was super easy to use the link they emailed to me to change the pickup time. The update was almost instantaneous. The transport driver who came to get my car was super upbeat and communicated clearly. There was a window of three days for picking up/dropping off my car and the truck driver/owner communicated clearly to me as the pick up/drop off time got closer. read more
