I found a classic car here on Long Island that I needed shipped to Connecticut. I made the mistake of getting an online quote which resulted in a dozen different quotes - none were local and I couldn't verify their reviews. After being bombarded with texts and calls from companies that I couldn't verify, I looked up a local company CV auto transport. While the quote was a little higher, it was a fair price and there was a real local person I could talk to. Unfortunately the seller flooded the engine on the day of pickup, so they had to wench it onto the trailer. The seller killed the battery trying to get it started. I have a long twisted driveway which is hard to get a trailer up, and I was not onsite for delivery. The driver went above and beyond to get the car delivered up my driveway. It took them a lot longer than expected - but there were no complaints or up charges. There were no problems with the delivery and I am super happy with the service. Communication was great. I'm sure the online folks would have just left it on the street. This is a really great local company who actually cares about helping their customers. Thank you! I live in SC and purchased a Mustang GT located in Smithtown, NY. I needed to find a reliable company to transport the car to me. I contacted Chris at CV on a Monday in the early afternoon and he assured me they could have the car shipped to me within a few days and gave me a set reasonable price for delivery. He also confirmed they would not charge me more money once they arrived as I had read some other transport companies will do to people. After we agreed to the terms Chris dispatched Junior from Godspeed Logistics who went and picked up the car shortly after our call which was amazing! Godspeed delivered my car the very next afternoon! I was so happy with the quick turn around, the care they took to load and unload my lowered Mustang from the truck and everyone's friendliness! A month before I had to move I made the horrible mistake and booked with Road Runner Auto Transport. I ALWAYS go to Yelp and the one time to just searched google it bit me in the ass. 4 days passed after my car was supposed to be picked up and still... nothing. On day 5, I called Chris at CV Auto Transport. He was nice enough to explain to me what Road Runner did not and informed me the reason no one has agreed to take my car is that I was all the way on the east end of long island. Had I known I had to meet somewhere in the middle, it would have not been a problem. Road Runner did not tell me any of this and did not try and help me when I explained the issue. All was lost... until I called Chris at CV Chris was there. He explained everything and got my car picked up within 48 hrs and arriving on the same day I arrive in California. He runs the business and also is the one who answers the phone and your questions. He is prompt to return missed calls and he is patient with any and all questions. They'll say yes, then they'll scramble to try and find anyone to pick up your car and transport it. Chris at CV is completely the opposite.
