Horrible!!!! We ordered a large cheese pizza for lunch. It was comparable to those frozen cheese breads you bake. There was barely any sauce and had zero flavor. The cheese tasted rancid on the french bread type crust. The texture of the crust wasn't half bad. The pieces weren't New York at all either, they were cut extremely slim which made them hard to pick up. Being new to Tucson and after reading other's reviews on yelp we decided to try. It's a far cry from New York style pizza. Not sure if they redeem their selves with other kinds of pizzas on their menu, but we won't be going back to find out. read more

I had a Restaurant.com deal for $10 off $20. I'd never been here before but thought I'd try it out. This is very much a mom 'n' pop shop, family-run business. There was a very young kid helping in the kitchen. I believe we may have been slightly overcharged. We got a large Sgt Pepperoni special, large salad, and two drinks (which by my calculations should've cost $28 with tax) and we were charged $24 after the $10 off. Oh well. We were hungry so we ate in, but I wouldn't recommend that. They have canned soda and bottled water, so no refills, and they will bring the pizza to your table, but everything is wrapped to go. They seem to do way more carry-out biz. The staff is all very nice. We had a woman take our order and make the salad, the kid brought our pizza out, and another guy gave us a smaller box for our leftovers, and they were all very friendly and polite. The salad was pretty good, and the large is a decent size for two. The pizza was just okay. It wasn't bad by any means, but there is better pie around for the price. read more

It wasn't terrible, but wasn't great either. The pizza I ordered and received had soggy dough in the center of the pizza. It was a little off putting, but I'm not sure if this is common, or I got a bad pizza. The salad didn't have a lot of salami or ham. Little light on the cheese. So salad is just a menu filler if you must have it with your pizza. Wings are crispy. A little dry, but not bad. Ranch was fine, but a little runny; I prefer my dressing to be a little thicker. Overall the experience was mediocre. I'm not sure I'll be back as there are many good pizza places out there. read more

Pizza is NOT rocket science, although to make a 'good' one, I would think it's about the dough, and y sauce (first and foremost); then the toppings (obviously 'fresh', and 'liberally applied'). Looked-em up on Yelp, read the reviews . . . took a chance (based on delivery); asked for 'extra sauce', didn't get it; toppings of mushroom, sausage, pepperoni . . . minimal (and you could tell it was the -very- cheap kind of pepperoni). I called in and was rudely answered with "What do you want!" in the rudest tone known to man and then told the employee that I had a coupon and he said "You got to be kidding me" and then said we won't honor it! I'm a reasonable person. I really am. The food was subpar. Like.. Bad. Few other reasons it is a one star review. One, their customer service is about as welcoming as an ice pick in the eye. While standing in line they didn't feel like answering multiple incoming phone calls but joked "I'm sure they will call back, they always do." Two, I attempted to use a $10 Groupon for my order but as soon as they saw it the menu items suddenly jumped up a few bucks each. What? Without the coupon, I was told items were priced as the menu showed. With my coupon, I was told the "special" prices on the menu didn't apply. I know. I sat and argued with the cashier for a few minutes before determining they were ultimately a sinking ship as a business and it wasnt worth my time to argue with an employee and a pizza joint I would never again visit. With my $10 "coupon" I only ended up saving $3. And it took me 40 minutes to get one large pizza and a dozen wings. So happy that we tried this place that is right down the road from us! Always walsked by here, but never tried. Ordered the Corporal, Pepperoni and Special and chicken wings. Sauce is perfect and crust is delicious traditional. Chicken wings has that awesome vinegar based sauce. So glad we tried! We will be back! We had some people over a few weekends ago and someone suggested we try Sgt. pepperonis. Our go to is Mama's for simply great crust and sauce, with a sprinkling of Oregano's from time to time if we're wanting a specialty type pizza. We've also tried Chariot Pizza and it was very, very tasty. We decided to try several things from Sgt. Pepperonis and wanted it delivered. We had the supreme pizza, teriyaki wings and a large sandwich to cut up and share. We were told it would be about an hour and twenty minutes, which was fine. Food came, pretty much, on time and we dug in. The pizza was good, though on the cool side. I believe they are about eight miles away, so shame on us for ordering delivery. Crust and sauce was fine, though nothing special or unique. The wings were charred. Like, burnt to a crisp. We really couldn't taste much teriyaki because of the taste of burnt chicken. We all tried one and done. The sandwich meat, peppers and other components were fresh and tasted good, though the bread was not fresh, at all, which you could tell when you bit into the sandwich. It immediately cracked/broke in your mouth and was dry to chew. Kind of like end of day bread that they were trying to use up. I can't help but think that the delivery option killed the experience for the pizza, as it was descent but cool. The wings were just horrible, with no juiciness at all. Like jerky on the bone. The sandwich could have been really good if the bread was, even, marginally, fresh. Very disappointing and we will be sticking to our iron clad favorites going forward. The dine-in experience may be better, though we gave them a shot and I just won't chance another disappointing experience. Took well over 30 minutes longer than estimated. I called 40 minutes after ordering to get an estimate of how much longer as I have a 2 year old which was hungry. I was told I was next. Over 50 minutes later it was delivered. I live exactly 1.2 miles from the restaurant. Complained through grubhub to which grub hub called and was told it was delivered at 6:30pm. Well my phone doesn't lie. It show I was called at 6:41pm and helped guide the driver the my apartment for 3 minutes. So my food was delivered 15 minutes later then the business lied to them about. Ordered a Veggie Pizza, a Calzone and and order of Spaghetti. The pizza was very bland, even with 4 toppings, and the crust was weak. I tried the spaghetti and was not interested after a few bites... the sauce was burned... as if it sat in a steam table for too long. There was also about a 1/2 inch of liquid at the bottom of the spaghetti container. I didn't eat the calzone, but my wife tried it and said she could only taste the cheese and the bread (no fillings). Again the sauce with it was burned and she tossed it after a few bites. We threw most of the order out and that's sad. I wouldn't recommend any of the items we tried. I'm sorry to leave a bad review but that's unacceptable from a pizza place. read more

I liked this pizza. The crust is very good. Decent amount of toppings. Service is very friendly. Only one table that seats maybe four people there, so don't plan on eating in. They do put on a lot of cheese, which is why I'm not crazy over this pizza. Too much cheese for me covers up the rest of the flavors of the pizza and you end up with thick, gooey mouthfuls. The restaurant is a nice, small family operation. Their primary business appears to be take-out. They offer some good deals in the shop. One frequent special is their Benni cheese bread and a large one-topping pizza for less than $20. This ends up being enough food for a dinner for four people with leftovers for lunch. Typically, I get this between my girls' dance classes and then they share their leftovers with hungry friends. Overall, it seems like a good value for the price. The crust and sauce are good. They are generous with the cheese on the pizza. The salads are good. Nothing fancy, but I appreciate their availability. They sell bottles of water and cans of soda for $1. Few vending machines sell them for such a low price! My girls are big fans of their Benni cheese bread. The restaurant is small. There are two small tables inside, and some seating outside. You order and pick-up at the counter. Works well for take-out. If you are looking for reasonably priced pizza and tired of typical pizza chains, this one is worth trying! read more

I order 24 wings and a salad. The guy took my order and as he is ringing me up he tells me the wings are bigger than normal and rather than getting a dozen there would be 10. I said no it wasn't ok. I tried to order from there today and was told that they do not deliver to my area. I am 4.1 miles away from their location. The kid on the phone told me he went all the way up to skyline but not to river and orange grove. I was really hoping to try either calzones. Wow what a great find! I live right down the street from Sgt. Pepperoni's and found them because I just moved in and was looking for a good place that delivered. Needless to say, I have never been disappointed. The pizza is delicious and delivery is quick. I highly recommend the Benni Bread Sticks. The garlic-y, cheesy goodness doesn't get any better. The crust is tasty and, a big thing for me, the pizza isn't overly saucy. I don't like a lot of sauce on my pizza, so it's nice for a place to do it without having to ask. I do know that there is very limited seating where they are, so it's better to get it to go, or have it delivered. Overall, I highly recommend trying Sgt. Pepperoni's out. read more
