My favorite pizza on the NW side. Hands down! The undercarriage is perfect, not soggy or floppy. It's not cheap but you can tell they use quality ingredients and the cooks know what they're doing. We recently stopped by Fentonelli's and had a really good experience overall. I liked the counter service style and the vibe of the dining room. We started with the ABG salad that surprised me because I'm usually not a big fan of Gorgonzola, but the combination of green apple, pecan brittle, and cheese worked really well together and made for a great balance of flavors. For the pizza, we ordered the mushroom pizza and added pepperoni. The sauce was excellent I believe was some sort of a garlic/oil white sauce the mushroom portion was generous which I absolutely love, and the crust was exactly what I look for crunchy on the outside while still soft and slightly sweet inside. My only minor complaint with the toppings is that the $4 pepperoni add on felt a bit light, we only had a 2 or 3 slices per piece. The reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is that our pizza was just slightly overcooked. The bottom was charred all the way around; wasn't burnt to the point of sending it back, but definitely left in the oven a minute or two longer than it needed to be. It wasn't busy when we visited, and it seemed like the employee rotating pizzas was a little more focused on chatting with FOH coworkers than keeping an eye on the oven. I've worked in pizza restaurants for nearly a decade, so I may be a bit more particular than most customers. Realistically, if our pizza had come out even a minute earlier, it would have been a 10/10 meal. That said, I enjoyed my visit and will definitely be back. The quality is there, and I'm looking forward to trying more of the menu in the future. read more

We saw a stellar IG review and were so hoping for a solid OV pizza experience. First mistake, we ordered just before 6pm on Friday - the entire parking lot was completely full - no exaggeration - with no pick up spots in front of or near Fentonellis. Had to park illegally in front of the Credit Union to pick up my pizza. We ordered online (you actually have no choice if you want to pick it up) where you're not able to customize/do half, so it was cheese with added meatball (a +$5 up charge) - total bill with tax, 29.71 By the time I got the pizza to bring home, (wait in the restaurant for pick up depended on a waiter and there were three of us - in between which he was serving tables their drinks) the bottom of the box was soggy and the pizza was cold. Even before we heated in a hot oven, it was overdone, really salty and no meatballs- see the photo - instead there was a tiny bit (less than 2 oz) of hot sausage on an overdone pizza. Not anything close to decent or what we ordered. Don't kid yourself, this is not NY pizza by a long shot. The search continues. read more

This was our first time here, and we will 100% be back! The staff were so friendly and accommodating to dietary restrictions. I ordered the classic pepperoni pizza, and even though it's such a simple choice, everything about it was perfect. Been eyeballing Fentonelli's until now, and I finally at least tried it for carry-out pizza. I gotta tell you, I'm pretty particular about my pizza. And born and raised in The Bronx. And I absolutely loved Fentoneli's pizza! First of all, the online ordering experience was a breeze, the pizza ws hot and ready on time, and I even received a text notification that it was ready. And the woman working the counter was pleasant and welcoming. Secondly, the pizza itself (Neapolitan-Brooklyn hybrid meatball in my case), exceeded my expectations! Crust? Nailed it - crispy AND chewy, charred on the bottom but just enough. AND it had a few dough bubbles on top! Texture? Pretty much exactly what I look for. Sauce to cheese ratio is also very good. Pizza only comes in one size (16inches) - more than enough for 2 people with leftovers. The spicy chicken wings were spicy for real and yummy. Their food seems to be on the milder garlic scale as the cheesy garlic bread was cheesy but lean on the garlic flavor... same with the marinara and on the pizza. Mind you this is not a bad thing depending where you fall on a garlic scale. I personally an heavy handed when it comes to garlic. I enjoyed watching them hand toss the pizza dough as it is an art! Decent drink selection available. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Parking can be a bit challenging but a little walk is definitely needed after a good meal. I'm really trying to find a good pizza place, this one had decent ratings. I called but it says to order either online or in person, no more call-in orders. The website is easy to use, but it wouldn't let me customize an order. I wanted the meats one ($30) but I didn't want meatballs, it wouldn't allow me to remove the option, only to add more. I got a pepperoni instead ($27) each additional topping is $3, so I just stuck with the pepperoni. I also ordered a ranch cup ($1). No drinks available. I'm not sure what ranch they use, but it didn't taste like any ranch I've had before. Not in a good way. I thought maybe it was blue cheese? And the tiny cup it came in, was enough for maybe 2 slices. I ate all but 1 slice, I didn't want to waste food. I wasn't really a fan of the dough or the pizza in general. I gave this place another try since I saw they have $5 lunch slices. I personally don't mind the fast casual way of dining, order and pay at the counter, get a number and go take a seat. I ordered half of the ABG salad which is one of my favorite salads anywhere (they also have it at Reilly). I also got a slice of pepperoni. They brought my salad and a minute later, my pizza, so the pizza gets cold while eating the salad. The food was awesome but for $5 the slice was small. 1 slice isn't enough for a meal. Service was very friendly and even though there isn't actual table service, there is someone going around doing server duties. This is a decent choice for a light lunch. read more

This is the most over rated and over priced pizza place in Arizona. I lived in New York City for 20 years and this pizza is 25% more than practically every pizza parlor in New York City and the quality is a 3 compared to 9-10 for virtually any place in New York. I've also eaten at all of the top places in Phoenix and Benet is at least 15% higher than all of the places in Phoenix and the Quality Inn Phoenix is an 8. TOTAL RIPOFF. They should be out of business. One block away is Whole Foods and your peaches is much better and much less expensive. Also, you can go a mile and a half east to AJ's, and their pizza is much bigger,better quality and less money. read more

Fentonelli's has been on our take out rotation recently and it's been pretty good. We'e enjoyed the cheese pizza, vegetarian (we love the kalamata olives on it!), and the mushroom truffle pizza. Online ordering is easy and the pizza is usually ready on time. The pizzas are quite large as well. Two will easily feed 4 hungry adults. The mozzarella sticks with marinara are good, but on the oily side. The pizzas dough is on the crispy and thinner side but not too thin, which I like. We've been to Fentonelli's a couple of times now, and we're fans of their appetizers and pizza! We've gotten the brussel sprouts, the meatballs and garlic bread, and the bread -- a super pillowy loaf that comes out steaming hot with olive oil and butter (*chef's kiss*). This most recent visit, I got my standard pizza order: pepperoni and mushroom. Theirs boasts a very solid covering of cheese and toppings -- no skimping here! I really like the lighter sauce and heavier cheese, and this hit the mark for me! I also really loved the mushrooms, which were cut thick and so retained a lot of flavor and moisture. My partner got the marinara pizza, to which he added pepperoni and meatballs. He liked it a lot, and said the toppings had great seasoning. We've found the service to be friendly, and enjoy the laid-back atmosphere. The pizza is on the more expensive side, for sure, but it's better than the chains by a long shot. read more

I ordered a pepperoni pizza to go which was only offered in one size 16" which is bigger than needed for 1 person. Visiting Tucson, don't ask me why, I'm a Sun Devil, but stopped in here to grab some lunch and glad we did. The meatball plate is empty in the picture because they were so good that my fork would not let me stop eating them. They come with garlic bread that was delicious. Frankly, this was one of my finest dining experiences in recent memory. Ambience: off the charts. You walk in and are greeted by colorful sights of wine posters and pizza being made right in front of you. The service was wonderful as well. My wife & i ate here a few days ago, the inside was nice and modern. It wasn't crowded since we went during the week. I have to say the pizza was spot on delicious, thin but had the nice crunch and they didn't destroy it by piling a bunch of cheese on it as barros pizza does. I also ordered a spaghetti plate with meat sauce which was horrible, chopped up noodles (who does that?) and I couldn't taste grandma's meat sauce because they put parmesan on it which I didn't want as it overpowered the flavor. Thats what i get for ordering spaghetti at a pizza place. My wife had the salad and it was chopped up iceberg lettuce, had good ingredients ie cheese, peppers etc but it was cut up in little squares which was odd, like the whole salad. Anyway yes it's pricey here but my advice would be stick with the pizza only. Also, they don't have a soda fountain so you're getting a coke in a can , that really made it feel like low class.
