Sharing the amazing experience I had with SF Blind Cleaners. I've been going to them for years. They always do an amazing job repairing my blinds. Most recently, a cord on my window blind broke I brought it in to get fixed. When I reinstalled the blind, it was a little off and when I notified Andy (one of the owners) he sent someone out to look at what was wrong and fixed it. I had some Roman shades I needed, repaired and cleaned, and specifically requested that when choosing this business. They were able to clean them, but didn't complete the repairs and they never could get the parts needed. They were always promising after three months I finally gave up. I read all the wonderful reviews and was eager to have a similar experience. I called Andy and he answered from the road. He explained the process to me and quoted me a price. We got to timing and he asked me to text him address info, saying he'd get back to me in 20 minutes. Seemed completely reasonable and quite specific. Two hours and 28 minutes after I sent the information I got a text from him of one word: "Thanks." I was not sure whether he meant to send that word to me as a thank you for having sent the information and would reply again with more or he had inadvertently texted that word to me instead of another person. I replied to remind him of our conversation about pickup times. Crickets. I waited the entirety of Friday. And Saturday until after 4:30pm. When I called the main number for this business another man answered and explained that Andy was very busy. I get that. I explained that I understood, but that he had promised to return my call at a particular time. I said I wanted to give SF Blind Cleaner another chance (so many 5-star reviews!) but was starting to wonder about reliability. I asked this person for a quote and he provided a different, higher number. My frustrations were not allayed. My sense that the blinds would be cleaned on any schedule promised--and cleaned well--were reduced. I said good-bye to the other SF Blinds rep and hung up, Andy called back a few minutes later. He explained that his one word 'thanks' was meant for me in reply to the sending of information and that he was busy. I explained that I understand busy--just seek clarity. I asked again about timing of the Monday pickup we had discussed and told him I'd be there in the morning but had to work off-site the rest of the day. He said that my morning time was too early and could I be there in the afternoon. No, I said, as we had discussed on the phone, twice now, I had to work in the afternoon away from the house. I had been happy to work out a price and timing on a tight schedule, but I just have the sense that people are overtired/overworked/under-staffed...my initial interactions are nothing like the lovely reviews here. I would like to provide an update to this review. Andy reached out to me after reading this and asked if he could have one more chance to fix the blind. I agreed. He promptly returned to my home to fix the blind. He took the blind to his store and fixed all of the strings, even the strings that were not broken. He returned the blind to my home within 2 days. The strings are working perfectly and everything is in order. This proves to me that Andy cares about his business and cares about his customers. Great experience with SF Blind Cleaners. Requested a quote via Yelp, received a speedy reply and set up pickup for the following day. They quoted 1 week turnaround but were able to deliver sooner than expected. The blind looks great and it was incredibly helpful to have them pickup (including uninstalling) and dropoff (including reinstalling). It was also very easy to schedule and manage the pickup/dropoff (very communicative via the phone). I appreciated how thoughtful the team was with taking off their shoes as they entered the house and taking the time to answer my questions about cleaning process, chance of remaining stains, and future care. Cleaned and restrung my 14 year old cream colored 3 Day Blinds (boo to that company for being totally unresponsive to customers). Drop off and pick up was easy. I've used this company twice to clean our Hunter Douglas blinds. Each time they have picked the blinds up and dropped them off. Everything comes back in wonderful shape, on time, and for a reasonable price. We first used this company when our older, original 1950s windows were starting to transfer some mold to the blinds. We caught it early - there wasn't much damage. We were considering buying new ones but decided to try cleaning first. The blinds came back spotless and saved us a lot on replacement blinds. We've since upgraded our windows so it isn't a problem. But after a remodel, the blinds had picked up a lot of construction dust. We had the same wonderful experience this time as with the first cleaning. Andy did a phenomenal job on my shades. I have white woven shades in my kitchen. *Cue the scary music* White shades in a kitchen of mine are neither wise nor my aesthetic, but the HOA mandates all homeowners to keep white window treatments in their front windows. Stupid like a fox, I filled my blender to the brim and splattered my healthy smoothie all over the center of this pristine white shade, thereby decreasing my lifespan by 5 weeks. It looked like someone blew chunks on it. Not only was the shade stained, it had bits of parsley enmeshed in it. I thought it was a goner but decided to give cleaning a try. Andy was very responsive. He responded to my email inquiry very quickly and gave a reasonable rate. I dropped off my shade and got it back in a week. I would have been pleased if Andy got most of the stain out, but he was able to get all of it out. I was blown away. There wasn't even a hint of the stain remaining. No yellow shadow or anything. A week or so later, he delivered them back. We haven't seen the blinds yet, but my neighbor says that are beautiful. Our honeycomb blind wasn't able to be installed because the brackets are missing. The old mini-blinds in one of my rental flats were really dirty after the tenants had not cleaned them during their eight-year tenancy. Andy and his helper arrived as scheduled and quickly removed the blinds while answering all of my questions. Andy did caution that the blind nearest the kitchen might not clean without leaving spots where the grease might have eaten through the paint. This had happened to one of the blinds in my kitchen so he obviously knew his business. Turned out not to be the case, but I was happy to know ahead of time. The re-installation was completed quickly. Given the age of the blinds, I thought I might have to buy new ones, but after cleaning they now look like new. The charge for pickup and delivery was well worth it. The springs on two of the blinds were missing, and Andy said he'd deliver some later. He had to order them and dropped by to install them, waiving any charges. Definitely above and beyond the expected service! SF Blind Cleaners beautifully cleaned my silhouette blinds which had not been cleaned for 7 years. When I called the company where I purchased them, they said they no longer do cleaning. They had been cleaned once before by them. They were originally white but over time began to look dingy. I call SF Blind Cleaners as I was told I need to have them cleaned by ultrasonic technique. Found SF Blind Cleaners called and spoke with Al. He said yes they clean silhouettes, we arranged a time for a estimate for cleaning. Al was able to come to my house that day. Gave me price on the spot. He took my silhouettes down that day. When he returned them in 5 days they were perfect. Clean, just like new. Al was professional, knowledgeable, and very careful and quick removing and replacing the blinds. Al even replaced the brackets that hold the blinds as they were beginning to crack and wear. I highly recommend their services for cleaning honeycomb fabric blinds. We have some windows that tend to get damp in the winter which causes mildew to stain our blinds that cover them. We have tried to clean them ourselves but it just looks gross still. We dropped the blinds off during the week (we live super close) and he asked if he could keep them for longer than a week so he could try to get the mildew stains out which we were happy to do if it meant they would look good in the end. We weren't disappointed! The blinds were returned looking almost new, and the stains were pretty much imperceptible. The Hunter Douglas cellular shades in my bedroom looked terrible, due to wind and rain from an open window. Previously I'd had someone come to my home to clean, but results were unsatisfactory. He and Luis came to Marin to pick them up and removed them very quickly and easily (the style that rolls down from the top and up from the bottom.) I can't believe the improvement in color brightness and mechanical integrity. Dingy, dirty, gray fabric is now back to pristine white. The 30+ year old Silhouette blinds, the pleated shades, and the stained kitchen shade are all spectacularly new-looking. The team of Andy and Jerry at SF Blind Cleaners is fantastic! They are prompt, responsive, professional, and on-top of things. I had a very large oversized blind (94 inches across) that needed repair, and Andy after asking for photos/video said yes, they could do it. I was given a very reasonable quote (since I am far from their location, most of the cost was travel cost in my case), and Jerry came and picked up the blind exactly as scheduled. I got the repaired blind back a week later, and it worked great! Jerry even provided some magnets to hold the pelmet in place over the blind (it was previously held by plastic brackets which had broken/been lost). A couple weeks later, somehow the mechanism got jammed, and Andy scheduled time again, came by exactly on time, and quickly adjusted the locking mechanism on-site to get it working again, and gave me some tips to prevent that from happening again. I selected SF Blind Cleaners to clean my silhouettes and fabric shades because of their speedy responses to my inquiries, broad cleaning offerings, and reasonable prices. I have not cleaned my blinds or shades for over 15 years and they were grimy and full of dust and bugs. Needless to say, I did not have high expectations that cleaning them would make a significant difference. I chose the option of having my blinds cleaned off site. Al accommodated my schedule by coming at the very end of the day to remove them. He set my expectations that they would be back in a week. He actually finished cleaning them before the week was over! I can't believe the amazing job they did. The blinds are perfectly clean. They even got off old paint stains. The fabric shades had some permanent damage that could not be removed and Mike took the time to point them out and explain the problem. This is my second time using them. Andy and his crew did their best to fix our "old" (bought in 1998) duette up and down blinds.We would have had to spend some money for getting a new one if it couldn't be fixed with a replacement part. It took a couple weeks to fix though after figuring out the manufacturer since the label was not on anymore. After we found out the right manufacturer, a similar part was located. Our part was not available anymore. They were able to make this similar part fit and make the blinds work again. Also Andy was very honest in not accepting a check from me I wrote wrong ( overpayment) and corrected me with a lesser amount. All in all, we were satisfied with their service! read more

Asked for a quote on yelp to have 2 honeycomb blinds cleaned that had mold from condensation on my windows. Al responded immediately and every time i asked a question, he responded right away.
