See my prior reviews about Halls (once before) and Al my reviews. That's why we come to Yelp. Reliable reviews about reliable places. .Eileen this time was the hard working knowledgeable accommodating plant-ist! Who has ever been to Java and Bali? Well - she has! Came up when I got another Javanese plant like the one I got last time. Last time I got plants for my modest apartment but this time got four times the number of plants. I believe I wore her out because I bought a lot of plants for my office space at work (a lot for me, Mr. Brown Thumb but following Alison's tips I'm getting better at preserving greenery in my life) and I asked they all be potted into great new ceramic pots! It was a hard work out for her that I hadn't intended but she never batted a sigh. Thank you!! Then one of the cheerful blokes that worked there helped me Hall out the plants to my car. (see what I did!) That's when a moment of poignancy via life affirming sadness sprouted out of our chit chat. Tristesse. As we casually compared forearm scars, telling out stories behind our marks that surviving life bring, this came up. His were from a motorcycle spill and I immediately remarked how I walked 800 miles during lockdown and often by Halls' from Summit and not a 1/2 mile down the street from Halls' was a affectionately tended testimonial to a local rider who lost his life out on his bike years ago at that spot. My Halls Helper winced then smiled. He knew the lost rider and had ridden with him a few times. He knew the man, the tragedy and the graveside memorial. He missed him. As I rode by after my car was plant-packed, I cast an eye at that spot and there, in the shining spring sun were brand newly sprouted yellow tulips and an American flag. The rider lives on. God bless Halls Garden Center, its fine American men and women and that brother rider I never knew who was lost too soon but is preserved in memory with that international sign of life and remembrance: plants and flowers and flora freely waving in the breeze. Get to Halls and stop just reading my raves! In a country occasionally fragmented and fractured and allegedly untethered by a lack of brotherhood, of sorority, of kindness, of patient grace and credible integrity, here's a place that's right on time every time you walk into her Hallowed Halls. The secret life of plants ain't no secret: it's all around us. And get the plants from Java!

Any business that treats a potential customer like they're doing them a favor truly isn't worth it…read more The new owner came to my house, sent a proposal for a minimum of five trees - which I agreed to - and scheduled delivery/installation for the end of the week. I even took two days off (Thursday & Friday) to accommodate their arrival. He never showed. No call. No email. Nothing. Only after I reached out did I get a half-baked apology and a promise for "next week." Once bitten, twice shy - I didn't rearrange my schedule again. And surprise, surprise... he didn't show then either. After multiple calls and multiple trips back to their nursery, I finally decided to walk away. I genuinely wanted to support a local business, especially since I'd heard good things back when the old owner and James' father ran the place. Whatever this new operation is, it's not that. The scheduling is loose, vague, and entirely for their convenience, with zero regard for the customer's time. And when they don't meet even their own open-ended commitments, there's still no remorse - almost as if avoiding accountability is the business model. Must be nice to be handed something instead of having to build it from the ground up. Given the other reviews I'm now seeing, I may have dodged a bullet. Good riddance, Truesdale.

There is no excuse for spelling, a person's name incorrectly. It shows me that she was rushing too much, I did not check herself. I also also apologize for you not appreciating the size of the arrangement; however, that arrangement is definitely indicative of a $55 arrangement. It would be $70 sans the $15 shipping charge. Ms. Romano, someone has to pay for the driver and the gas, and that is how these arrangements are prorated. Please send this message to the Wire Service when you lodge your complaint. I'm terribly sorry that I couldn't work something out for you. I tried. Regards, Nadine Truppi-Tokash Her offer to me was to order again in the future and then she would do something. I would NEVER order from her business again. She actually tried to give me a math lesson on how 70-15 equals a $55 arrangement. The whole phone call was bizarre.

She was so kind and compassionate when I told her about my grandmother being sick. She went above and beyond to make my grandma feel special in her gloomy nursing home room. This business truly takes customer service to the next level in addition to making beautiful flower arrangements.
