I lived here about 5 years. It is a criminal enterprise. I've written elsewhere about management terrorizing residents into moving, to steal part of the sales price for the home. This review is about the evening of June 19, 2016, when the management of Shady Acres attacked me, and then criminalized me. A small group of Lodi Police Officers do their bidding, over & over. Beware.
My friend lived in the newest trailer, very close to the manager. I lived in the largest place. They had us followed every time we left our homes. If we were gone more than 20 minutes they entered our homes. June 19, 2016 was Fathers' Day. My friend asked me to check on his place that evening.
I had been disabled 23 years, from a viscous attack. I got out of bed at 8:55 pm to check his trailer. Before I left the manager & her husband came out of their place, and both blocked my way home. I tried to go around but they silently changed places; the tall man who had screamed so much abuse at me kept hitting my forehead on the right side. He looked at my feet and said, "Nice sandals". I looked at his and saw huge, heavy black boots, on a very warm night.
I heard my glasses hit the street about 10 feet away. Saw the female on all fours, tugging at the base of my cane. If she got that I would be on the pavement & at their mercy. I pulled her ponytail to prevent it & went to retrieve my glasses. As I stooped down and reached for my glasses he shoved a thumb or finger deep into my mouth & I was prevented from screaming. I continued to bite with all my might until the attack was over.
They drag/walked me to the supports for an awning on an adjacent trailer. They bashed the back of my head repeatedly into two steel supports about 6" apart. They tried to get my cane from my hand, and my Cannon Rebel from the other. Photos show bruising all over both wrists and lower arms. They fractured a right rib, and a big toe when he stomped my foot. I could do nothing except hang on and bite what was shoved into my mouth.
Suddenly it was over. I had no phone. They called 911 on their cellphone & a car responded rapidly. My attackers sat in chairs under bright lights, and talked to two Officers for about 20 minutes. They screamed at me to remain standing on a speed bump. When one came over I described what happened on the street, not the whole attack. I described my 2 acts of self defense, after realizing it was a serious attack. He interrupted me & said, "John never hit you. He never connected". He turned his back and walked away. He never heard a description of the real beating.
When Officer Valencia returned to see my injuries we were in darkness at 9:30 at night, and he used no flashlight. I said, "My head, neck and back are injured, exactly as in the attack that disabled me. I need an ambulance." He walked away, and returned to arrest me a few minutes later. I kept asking him to lock my home. He asked what medications I took and I answered "Aspirin, and a pill for cholesterol". He screamed at me to "Tell me the truth, OR ELSE". I was telling the truth.
He must have seen the enormous contusion on the right of my forehead in the Police Station. He knew John Ray had hit me, repeatedly. It was visible on my forehead for the next 18 days. I spent most of 6 weeks in bed with a concussion, in confusion about how I could be arrested.
They came into my unlocked home that night, before going to a doctor. I had purchased an iPad Mini that afternoon. It was in a sealed box. The box was opened. I turned on the Mini for what should have been the first time & saw "Enter The Password For Coco" across the top. It was NOT a list of available WiFi. "Coco" is the Xfinity WiFi network that belongs to the managers of Shady Acres Mobile Home Park. On 5/21/16 they had broadcast an adult film my friend was watching on his TV. He saw people with hand held devices, got suspicious, and showed on his TV that "Coco" was broadcasting that film. The Police never knocked on the managers' door. They said someone entered his home to set up his television. I photographed my Mini with their WiFi network installed because the Police refused to come regarding their entry after having me arrested.
Officer Valencia wrote I "admitted" an attack I didn't know I was accused of. It happened in front of cameras I knew were on their home. I "used fingernails" less than 1/8" long to gouge her arm, to create wounds she showed around 2 days earlier. I put down a weapon, my cane, to use nonexistent fingernails.
John Ray has screamed "I am going to beat you up, AGAIN" on 6 occasions, raving for minutes & witnessed. It was recorded & Police responded twice. Disabled for 23 years, I went out alone at night & attacked 2 able bodied people who have threatened me with violence many times. I am being prosecuted for biting what was in my mouth to prevent me from screaming. Photos show me covered with bruises.
