They did a good job and priced it fairly. I had an emergency with toilets backing up. They promptly…read morecame out and remedied the problem. I also had a cover put over my septic tank for easy access no more digging. It was priced fairly and will end up saving money the next time the septic needs pumping.

I have been using Yelp's Project Bidding for services that I need done to my house and I would…read moreencourage you to use it as well. If you need a repair or installation of some kind, this gets you some results and communication with companies quickly. I bought a house in Rural Hall (north of Winston Salem) and it is not connected to city sewer and instead uses septic. Well since I was not made aware when the last time the septic tank was serviced and the average life is 3-5 years I thought it would be a good idea to get this done. I put in the request into the Project bidding and Yelp gave me four companies. Mountain View Septic came back with a response in less than five minutes and then another company in about ten minutes but wanted to talk about the job on the phone. After calling the other company and not hearing back from the other two I agreed to Mountain View's cost for the service. Christian gave me a good cost and had a 10% off on Yelp for first-time customers. We set up a time and I had to delay it due to a meeting I had scheduled. Christian was very flexible on the delay and showed up on time. After talking about the job for a few minutes Christian went about locating the septic tank and then once found, uncovered it and opened it up. According to Christian, the tanks were about 3/4 of the way full so I thought the timing of this service was great. I can imagine a nightmare of waking up in the middle of the night to backed-up toilets. The service was relatively quick and Christian was extremely informative about the septic tank and how it performs. I had no idea that much was involved in the process but he certainly did and it was good information to know about. If you need septic services I would highly recommend Mountain View Septic, although relatively new in the business, Christian was knowledgeable, friendly, flexible on the schedule, and reasonable on the costs.

I called New Life to have them clear an obstructed toilet line. I had looked at the toilet myself,…read moreand it was filling and flushing correctly. But sometimes, the water would not recede - hence, I assumed partial obstruction. Two techs arrived to the house, and the tenant told them he was going out to the garage - come get him if they needed him, or if he wasn't back when they were done. The two techs just left without notice! They didn't speak to the tenant, show/explain their work, or notify me (the owner) of anything at all. Terrible customer service. The first word I received was a bill for $267, via email, telling me exactly this: "unstopped toilet. line was stopped up , could not find anything. Found that the toilet needs to be replaced also." The next flush by the tenant - line was blocked. Nothing accomplished, and no information provided by the plumbers about what was done/attempted. So I called New Life and told them that their techs did not clear the line, could they return? I was told that they could return, but I would be charged for both visits. I said "they didn't unblock the line!", and New Life said "Well, they said the problem is your toilet. It flushed for them". It sounds like they did nothing but plunge the toilet, which everyone in the house, including kids, was capable of doing. I know there was NOTHING wrong with the toilet, so I asked specifically for a more experience tech, and said I would reschedule BUT if the first two techs were wrong (and the toilet was NOT the problem), couldn't I only pay for one visit? She said she's talk to the boss. I received a voicemail telling me that (paraphrase) "Our guys said you need a new toilet. We're not coming back to look at the line - you're welcome to get a second opinion" In other words "Frick-off"! I called a friend, and we looked at the toilet again - 100% good!, but the line was being obstructed. So we took it off the wax ring and looked at the toilet base, where we found a plastic battery cover (for a remote or toy?) probably flushed by a child and obstructing the line. The toilet did NOT need replaced. How is it that two "professional" plumbers could not find or even trouble shoot a plastic obstruction in the S-curve of a toilet, but were so insistent that the toilet needed replaced that they refused to return to the house? There's no way that the "service" was worth $267, and there's no way I'll ever call them again. Because it wasn't just lousy techs with terrible customer service, but an admin who wasn't very interested in dealing with the situation, and a boss who was setting the tone for lousy customer experiences.

I cannot speak for their actual work septic work but they left my front yard wrecked. They worked…read moreon my neighbors yard and had to dig up a portion of my yard, due to rainy weather at the time I was told it would be a little while before they could fix the ground and reseed it. They never did come back so I now have an extremely uneven section of ground with no grass. Repeated calls to them got no response. Another neighbor got the city involved because they damaged a yard wall during the same job, I guess it is my fault for not doing the same. I would not recommend this company due to the fact that they do not stand by their word and work. If they leave a yard in such poor shape I have to wonder how they leave the septic systems.

Let me start by saying I highly recommend this company. I was in need of a new septic company…read moreafter mine increased the price to pump by 50% recently without notice. I also was having some puddling in my yard and after getting a permit was looking at a huge potential cost if my system couldn't be repaired. I had called a couple companies to get quotes that wouldn't even talk to me about looking into a service repair first and were focused on the potential of getting me to spend $6-11k when I may only need a simple fix. I was not sure they would even just fix me if needed and I was having trust issues with my current septic company and another one I called. I was referred to Piedmont Septic Solutions froM a friend and neighbor who had seen them service a pump at another home in my neighborhood- they charged a fair price and were prompt with call backs, texts and email. I had spoke to the county inspector and was aware what needed to occur, what could be potentially fixed and what needed to happen if the repair didn't work. Brian at Piedmont Septic Solution spent a couple calls with me chatting it out and also reviewed my paperwork and system set up. He was the only one that chatted with me about a potential repair. They came out in a timely manner considering how the other companies acted like they were so busy with pandemic customers I would have to wait Months. I ended up having the work done yesterday 6/3/21. They dug up my distribution box and discovered it was filled with roots, they flushed my lines and added leveling caps to the lines after realizing mine were not distributing evenly. Additionally my T had gotten pushed sideways and the pipe had sunk. They corrected all of this and concreted it back in place. They pumped both sides of my tank and in a thorough way better then my previous company. They cleaned my filter and carefully put it all back together. They spent about 4 hours at my house and charged me the lower end of their estimate based on what they had to do. They answered all my questions as I am a newbie to Septic Systems and now I know how my system works. They charge the same price my previous company used to charge to pump - $300. For that price they open and pump both sides. I was kind of in awe that they cared enough to do such a good job with the nastiest thing to service at my house. They are well spoken, polite, trust worthy and knowledgeable about what they do. They have families and kids just like me and they work hard to provide for their families. I felt good about my service and posted on my community page and they got two more jobs before they left the neighborhood. We were all satisfied with our experience and I have a feeling they will gain more business in my neighborhood. I am taking the time to write such a long review because I had trouble googling a septic company when I was looking and even though I am a yelper I got an old fashion verbal referral to this company. Trust my experience and if you are in need of a pump or service on your system I would not hesitate to call this company or believe what they are recommending. They will also charge you a fair price and not try to take advantage or do more then you need. They are going about growing their business and reputation the right way - doing what they say they will do, charging a fair price and following up via call and text when you reach out to them. They left me with such a good experience I will only use them moving forward. Thanks Piedmont Septic Solutions - appreciate you guys!
