Early Monday I called 84 Auto Shop and explained the situation. They said they could help me but the part was in Texarkana and it would take some time to the part. In the meantime we had the SUV towed to their place. Within 10-15 minutes the new alternator showed up. They had pulled the SUV in the bay and were taking the old alternator out. They put the new one in, tested it, done! The mechanic did a great job and the price I paid was what they estimated. I recommend this shop.

I was expecting my vehicle to be pristine (showroom!) and smell nice. The good: It is cleaner than when we brought it in. I stated "I needed my tires rotated as requested when I scheduled service in the app." I was told to call next time before scheduling service in the app because the dealership is not equipped to rotate tires on a Dually. I asked if they sold these types of trucks here. He said "yes we have one right now." I said "if you sell them you should be able to provide the GMC recommended service." He then went into telling me how tires are rotated on a dually. I said "I am aware how tires are rotated on a dually. I have owned four of them." He then proceeded to let me know he could not do the service most people go to a heavy duty tire shop place to have it done. If you can't perform recommended service on a certain GMC vehicle model you should not be able to sell and make commission off that type of vehicle!
