We got here after 8+ pm for a late dinner after off-roading in the Squamish valley. The place was…read morebig and luckily it was not full house as it was a weeknight. There were many tvs and a big screen projector showing the hockey game. Then I noticed Canucks jerseys hanging from the rafter and on the walls. Ok, so sports was big here. It was not rowdy though. We sat away from the main dining hall and got a corner table near the entrance. Service was ok, took a while for the requested extra napkins to come. Our server forgot about it. Guessed it was busier in the main hall which was on a spilt level up. Food wise, it was decent food in a neighborhood pub. Not a huge selection but it had the typical food here so everyone should be able to get something they like. The calamari was surprisingly good. Tender lightly battered squid, not rubbery at all. The whiskey bbq ribs with fries and slaw were good too. The wild BC salmon burger with clam chowder was so-so. I wished the salmon was a bit less over cooked. Salmon was lightly charred outside and unfortunately the inside was a bit hard. At least not too dry. I would prefer the salmon to just have a light crisp with the inside being 70-80% cooked. The miso glaze was nice though. The clam chowder as the side was bad as it did not taste like it at all. It was more of a cream of vegetables soup with some bits of clams in it. That was a disappointment. Fries or salad for the side in future. I also had the Moscow mule. It had real ginger bits in it. I didn't care for that as you kept getting them in every sip and they were real gingery spicy. Not a place I would make a special trip for, but a decent place for a meal when passing by. They open till 12 midnight or 1 am. Nice sized parking lot in front and back of the building.

The Crabapple Café feels like going home for weekend bruch.  The kind you don't overthink, you just…read moresit down, order big, and trust the room. It's rustic in that honest, country way: wood, warmth, and a smallish-town Squamish vibe that makes you slow down whether you meant to or not. The location does half the work for the ambiance, the rest comes from the feeling that someone actually cares about feeding you well. This is home-cooked brunch with intention. Portions are generous without being sloppy, and every plate feels thought out, like it's been tested by real people who eat breakfast for a living. The pancakes are the headline act--huge, fluffy, unapologetic, and exactly what you want when you're leaning back in your chair wondering if you should order another coffee or surrender to a food coma. And if the night before got a little loose, the double Caesar is a public service: bracing, restorative, and delivered without judgment - oh my aching head. What really seals it, though, is the staff--genuinely welcoming, on their game, and clearly proud of the place. The Crabapple Café isn't trying to be trendy or precious. It's just very good at what it does. A must-try in Squamish, especially if you believe breakfast should be comforting, filling, and a little bit healing. This is not our first time, and definitely not our last. The cafe has become our way station before heading up to Whistler. CHEERS!!!
