When dropping him off I told the person at the counter not to shave him totally and the girl looked at my friends account on the computer and told me that she understood because there were notes saying how to clip him. My friend came at 4:30 to pick up her dog and was told they hadn't started working on him yet! She waited 30 minutes until they were done. When they brought him out to go home it was a real chop job, the ridges from the clipper were visible from the side it was obvious that certain areas were shaved unevenly. The hair on the head and around the ears was chopped with no attention to detail. She was shocked and spoke to the owner about how awful the job was and asked for a partial refund, at least for the tip given. The owner said she would get back to her and never did. I have clipped and shaved my own dogs at home and know I could've done a better job!

The bad I recently boarded her for a week and 2 days after she got home she went for her regular checkup and rabies shot. I was called and told she had hookworm She's now on medication Since they are highly contagious called to let Animal house know and they said sorry to hear that No no one else has reported hookworm. .My dog's only contact with other dogs is there. Plus I believe others should have been notified to.test their dogs.I do know from watching their camera that their kennels are washed down but in open social areas anything can happen.

It wasn't until we were in Jacksonville (away from family & new to the area) that I found myself needing to board her. After WEEKS of searching different facilities, I choose PAWVILLE. Saying I was a MESS leaving her there was an understatement. I cried leaving her. The facility was beautiful, well kept, secure & the staff was friendly (again, just me being an over protective parent). I Bella stayed for 6 days. I received pictures of my baby and the staff was patient with me, when I'd call to check on her. Needless to say, I cried ALOT when I picked up my baby. She was happy to see me and she was fine. A lil confused, but she was fine and well cared for. I ended up using PAWVILLE a.few times while we were in Jacksonville. Fast forward 4 years & back in San Diego I recently rescued another dog & need to board him (here we go again). My thoughts, "its San Diego, this will be easy." The bar PAWVILLE instilled in my needs for boarding is beyond measure. I miss the facility & the comfort I found in knowing my furchild was safe. The beds were removed to wash but never returned. They had to sleep on the concrete floor for most of their stay. They did put a comforter in there for 1 night. But it was peed on because pee pads that I supplied were not put down. So after that was removed, they had nothing. The camera is grainy at best especially at night. And my dogs stayed by the glass doors so I couldn't see them most of the time as the camera didn't show that area. So it was useless to pay for that when 90% of the time, you can't see them. It made me sick to look at the camera and not see any beds! My dogs will not be coming back! What's not in the photo? My dogs or beds!

Before we found Surf City Pawville, he would struggle with groomers, and often times it could take up to an hour to get the job done. The staff at Surf City Pawville definitely have the right touch because from day one, my boy has not had an issue and is in and out inside of a few minutes. I haven't had a need for boarding or day care, but if I do, I'm certain my guy will feel loved and enjoy the experience. He loves his friends here and always seems so happy to visit.

We'll they said yes, so I trusted them and left her. She was no where near what she was supposed to look like when I picked her up. There were parts of her that weren't even cut. We had to bring her back to get cut again, but she never looked like she was supposed to. Fast forward to this past week. I decided to give them another chance, and took our 13 year old miniature schnauzer. My wife let the staff know that she was old, didn't see or hear too well, and moves alot. She was quoted 53.00. Later that afternoon I received a call that her beard was very matted and needed to be shaved off. I agreed. Now when I went to pick her up, I was charged 85.00 and told it was because hercoat was matted. They gave me back a completely shaved dog. Nowhere resembling a schnauzer. Not once did anyone call me and say it was going to cost more, or that she was being completely shaved. Needless to say, I will not bring any of my dogs back there, and I would never recommend them to anyone I know. I find the fact that they can change the price and not tell you , and that you pay before even seeing the pet a problem. They stated that my 10lb, 13 year old dog that barely has teeth was a danger to them, and so there was a charge for that too. They charged an extra charge to grind her nails, because they were black nails. Do your due diligence, and maybe go to a more established groomer.

The people there are super nice and they do a fantastic job…read more My dog is very difficult to groom and they worked with him but also aren't afraid to let me know if they needed to stop or adjust the groom so he doesn't get pushed too hard. He had an awful experience with a groomer in the past so he tends to be an anxious guy. His last groom was extra special to me because he let them complete it and looked amazing! He also was the calmest I've seen him ever leave a groomer before. They also groomed my long haired cat! It was my first time trying it and she looks so nice! Her fur is extra soft too and I also loved that they work with cats but much like anxious dogs, told me they wouldn't push a cat's groom if they were too stressed about it. She also was absolutely fine coming home too. Just all around a wonderful place that I'm lucky to have near me! Couldn't recommend them enough and I totally understand why you have to book well in advance to get an appointment. They're a really special find!
