Do not recommend. The groomer nicked our 3 year old small teddy bear dog's skin and under her tail when they buzzed her. The owner didn't care sent me a note 7 days later and put the disclaimer in my face. She sent me the disclaimer that I signed and said this can happen if a dog goes longer than 6 to 8 weeks without a haircut this is unacceptable. It's one thing to make a mistake, but it's another one not to admit it. Thank you for your delayed response. 1.) She did not have any issues before her grooming appointment. 2.) Vet sheet attached. They said she has wounds from being buzzed in two places under her butt and tail. As we knew. Her tail $ butt was red, inflamed, chunks out of her skin and miserable all week. They said her glands were also irritated from it and expressed them while we were there. 3.) She now has: Some medicated wipes B. A prescription cream C. two pain & inflammation pill prescriptions : Gabapentin & Carprifen for cuts on her bottom & under her tail. 4.) She has stayed in her kennel without wanting to come out for 6 days. 5.) For the last 7 days she has been shaking, twitching, sleeping and not wanting to see any of our family members and needs help eating & drinking. I'd watch the part of the tape when they are grooming her underside, butt & tail. She is red, raw under there and goes bananas when we apply the cream to the wounds. They didn't let me watch the tape, nor care if I brought her in to show them. "No comments." If you'd like me to bring her in to further show you, I'd be happy to. This definitely happened at Shaggy Chic by her groomer(s). Please refund our visit. This is unacceptable. Or pay our vet bill, reimbursed to us. $123 read more

This place is the absolute worst it was over two and a half hours and so I called to see what was going on and they told me that they had cut my dog and had him at the animal hospital without even calling to notify myself. I know accidents can happen but it's the way they handled it after that made it so I will not be bringing my dog back here. When I showed up I made eye contact with the groomer while she was holding Kash and watched her throw my dog in a kennel rather than bringing him to me while he has a cone on his neck and cut in groin. When we picked up the dog they didn't give any refund, credit, any toy, blanket, or even 5$ treat to make it better. Paid 85$ for my dog to be cut and now have to take him and pay for a vet bill in 5-7 days. Awful experience don't come here it's not worth it find another place to take your dog. The owner responded to this review saying we were laughing in the lobby we were definitely not laughing. And I introduced myself to the groomer and I am not putting her name on here because I know it was an accident. When you meet someone two hours earlier tho you don't usually completely forget their face. The fact that the owner/manager couldn't handle this better there should've been a call before ever even taking our dog to the vet. Not after like you responded to. We are all dog lovers and know accidents happen it's how you take care of it after that ruins relationships. I hope this is a learning experience for your business and you treat the next dog you cut better. read more
