It's a pretty small spot but they have a good selection of food on their menu. It's clean inside the dining area and bathroom which is always nice. The service was good too. Lovely decor welcomes you. There is seating for about 30 plus some high stools/chairs around a bar-like counter. We arrived just after 11 am and they really weren't quite ready, but one lady showed us to a table and gave us menus and a carafe of water with glasses. After 10-12 minutes another person arrived (to cook?) and the young man at the host stand immediately grabbed his order book and came to take our order. I really enjoyed the sauces with the fish pakora. The tomato and green dips were very refreshing with it, and the fish wasn't so heavily fried that it felt like it clogged arteries. I prefer the other interpretations of aloo ghobi, where it's more crispy, but I think that's a more Indo-China style of it. The garlic naan was nice and crispy, but could use a bit more garlic. The tikka masala tasted a bit different from what I'm used to, but I liked the slightly different spices used. Very cute spot close to base. read more

This was our first time here since they took over the Jamaican restaurant that was there before. I found out they've been open for over a year now and luckily it's only a 10-minute drive from us. It was pretty late but we were craving for some Indian food. We ordered to go on Saturday and there were still a good amount of people in the restaurant. The gentleman that took our order was nice and knowledgeable since we had a few questions on their menu items. We got a few orders of their chicken masala and garlic naans. Everything tasted great. My littles actually loved it, which is surprising because they tend to stick to very simple dishes. We'll definitely be back here to try other things. We are at Masala bites on a Friday evening. The restaurant is located at the end of a strip mall. The restaurant is large, newly renovated and has an outdoor seating area that is likely open when then weather is nice. It was brightly light with some Indian music playing. When you walk in you see a bar type area where we were greeted. We were quickly seated as there was only one other couple in the restaurant when we got there. We waited a pretty long time to have a server take our drink order. By then we were sure what we would order. It took a while to get our drinks and food. The food was ok, but not something I would go out of my way to return for. The masala was too sweet for my taste and had no spice, despite ordering it at a medium level for spiciness. The other dish we had was an assortment of meats with onions in a sizzling plate. It was better. More flavorful and slightly spicier than the masala. The largest hurdle we had was how slow the service was. Perhaps they were short staffed. Ordered Vegetable Korma takeout. I was asked twice how hot I wanted it. Twice I answered MILD. Got home and it was pretty darn spicy - at least medium spicy. I don't know why some restaurants do this - have apparently no idea how spicy they make their dishes. Many of us cannot tolerate spicy food, but can usually do well with MILD. I went to pick up for my disabled son in law and my daughter's young family supper. I was slightly irritated because it's in a strip mall outside Peterson. I went in to get the food and immediately my mood changed. The gentleman who helped me was so kind and happy and just really endearing. He went out of his way to make it an absolutely pleasant experience. And that was just a pick up. I can only imagine how lovely it would be to eat in. The family was overjoyed at the quality and taste of all the food. And believe me they ordered a LOT.
