a tray of tacos and a bowl of salsa
Miriam I.

This place is such a hidden gem. Ordered from here via DoorDash and it was so good I went to the actual location. It's a food truck that looks like it's permanently set up and seems like a favorite of locals. So many interesting options but we went for the birria which was a steal and so tasty. You have to get the consommé separately but it's so worth it. You can honestly eat it as a soup. There's so much meat even in the consommé you can make another taco. The salsas it came with were also very fresh and good. The service was great and he helped us decipher their menu and pick something great. Loved this place

Best tacos in the Bronx! Always delicious! Always fresh ingredients! Always packed! I really love their tamarind drink as well and make sure to get one everytime I go.

I was so excited for this! Even at 10:15 on a Friday night they were pretty busy and there was a a lot of activity outside the truck (they close at 10:30). I ordered 2 carnitas tacos. I have to stop ordering carnitas; they were rather bland and I had to spit out several fatty pieces (not my thing!). They give you cooked spring onions on top (good!) and 2 salsas both of which were way too hot for me. Despite not being thrilled about my choices it was cool stumbling upon this truck!

Best tacos in the city. Period. I walk almost a mile to get these tacos, and maybe that makes them taste even better. Seriously, stop by if you're ever in the neighborhood and you won't be disappointed. My favorites are the lengua, el pastor, and suadero, and I always get a cup of horchata to go with it. The meat is always juicy and flavorful and I love eating the grilled onion that comes with it. I've gone at all hours, and there's usually a short line. Plan to wait about 15 minutes and then enjoy the best tacos you've ever tried in the park nearby.

Suadero...shredded beef is one of my faves

I love getting tacos from this truck. They are never a miss. Lengua (beef tongue) and suadero (shredded beef) are my favorites. No matter how much I'm ordering, I never have to wait too long. They're always busy so you know the food never sits too long. Hubby always gets chicken for himself and our tot. The steak is OK but kind of dry IMO. Their Al Pastor tacos are really good, juicy pork served with pineapple pieces. Always get your tacos "con todos", with cilantro and onion, and definitely order an extra grilled onion. All of their tacos come with grilled onion, lime, cucumber slices and sliced radishes. My son always gets chorizo, lengua and spicy pork but after convincing him to tey the al pastor, I think that will be in the rotation from now on.

My sister kept telling me about the tacos here, I'm a bit picky when it comes to eating certain foods since EVERYONE (most people that don't know) claim that the food at a certain place is good. I knew it was going to be good because there was a crowd waiting for their orders. I ordered 4 tacos, 2 steak, 1 tongue and 1 stomach. With the stomach (tripe) you have to be careful because not many people know how to prepare it. When I got my order, I took a bite of the stomach taco, and I have to say that they're very well seasoned, no funny taste. The 4 tacos came with the typical sides plus onion which is damn delicious side to add to tacos, all 4 were delicious, the tacos really exceeded my expectations. I now have one of my favorite taco spots in New York, I've had tacos in Los Angeles and Mexico so I can say that these are as good as you would get from an authentic spot in Los Angeles o Mexico City.

! The sauces, the freshness of all the ingredients was unbelievable !

Best Taco truck around. 10/10 will always recommend. Steak/chicken/al pastor it's all good. Horchata is the best I've had.

Very good but overpriced tacos. Very popular with the local crowd but something you wouldn't break in neck to go out and get for yourself.

He is called the Lechon King and is an icon of the South Bronx. It's a place I've kept an eye on for some time, and I finally decided to give it a try. The truck operates only on Saturdays and Sundays, from around noon until six, or sometimes one. When we arrived, a line had already formed, which is a testament to how much people love this spot. Be prepared to wait about 2 hours--it's cash-only--but trust me, the experience is worth it. The most popular dishes are Lechon, Spanish Rice, and Octopus. The wait is long because the owner personally prepares each order, taking the time to chat with customers and even offer tastings. His warm personality and genuine customer service create a welcoming atmosphere. While my daughter and I waited in line, I noticed an older gentleman I'd seen in videos sharing wine with waiting customers. Seeing him there, pouring wine as we waited, made us feel part of a lively, friendly community. I had a cup of wine and couldn't help but feel like I was at a festive gathering. Everyone around us was talking and laughing like old friends, which made the wait more enjoyable than I expected. The owner's passion is evident -- he runs out of Lechon, gets it straight from the street-side oven, and takes time to take pictures, entertain customers, and share samples. I tried the Lechon at least twice before finally receiving my order, and it was well worth the patience. When it was our turn, the owner was still giving samples while he prepared our food. My daughter ordered Lechon and Spanish Rice, while I wanted to try everything. My order included Lechon, Spanish Rice, Octopus, Shrimp, Crabmeat, and garlic sauce. Although I don't eat seafood like shrimp or crabmeat, I was eager to try the Octopus. I ate around the other seafood, savoring each bite. The food was incredibly delicious -- the Lechon had a perfect balance of flavor, and the crispy skin was unforgettable. The plantain was tasty, cooked to perfection, and complemented beautifully by the garlic sauce's punch of flavor. The Octopus, prepared ceviche-style, was a new experience for me, and I'm glad I took the chance -- it was tasty. The rice was good, though I wished there was a bit more -- it seemed like a small portion. I would give this place a five-star rating for the incredible flavor and the warmth of the customer service. While cleanliness isn't perfect, the overall experience is truly heartwarming. If you find yourself there, I believe you'll leave feeling happy and satisfied.

I had a very disappointing experience with Chicken vs Lamb and won't be ordering again…read more My order was handled poorly from the start--food was left sitting instead of being given to the delivery driver who was already there, and parts of my order were missing. The food also didn't match what was advertised. I ordered a salad expecting what was shown on the menu, but received slimy arugula, strong-smelling feta, and dry grape tomatoes. When I brought it up, I was told the system has been like this for "2 months," yet the online and in-person menus are still not updated and don't match Uber Eats or what is actually served. The chicken over rice was overly sauced and served cold, and the photos online are outdated and misleading. When I tried to address the issue, I was told to "just take the tomatoes off," which didn't solve the problem since that wasn't what I ordered. The staff was also dismissive and rushed the conversation, making it feel like the issue was being blamed on me. Overall, there's a lack of consistency, poor communication, and misleading menu information. I won't be ordering again. I'd recommend Space Grill instead--the food is much better, though they close around 11pm.

When we entered, we were greeted with kind smiles from the ladies and they welcomed us to sit at any free table. Inside has lots of decor with ample seating. We sat and a server grabbed us menus. We got a carnitas burrito, grilled cactus side, horchata, and strawberry limeade (per her recommendation). Everything came so fast, and they even split the burrito for us! Oh my god, everything was so good. This has to be one of the BEST burritos I have ever had, comparable to the ones in San Diego. I love carnitas, and they do it so well here. It was tender, flavorful, just the perfect amount of sauce and seasoning! And the horchata was the best I have ever had too! The strawberry limeade was refreshing, and the grilled cactus was good!
