Pretty standard Shake Shack in the food court of a mall. I ordered a standard bacon burger and the parmesan fries, and found everything delicious. To be frank, I did not think the parmesan fries was worth the extra $1 or $2 because the parmesan cheese is the standard powdered cheese that you would buy in a grocery store. The service was pretty quick in that it took about 8-10 minutes for my food to be prepared. Food preparation probably would have been a bit faster had a person in front of my not made a huge lunch order. But hey, these things happen during a lunch rush. Great location! Easy and quick ordering system at the kiosk. They also made our order quickly, and this was the dinner rush. It took about 14 min total from when we submitted our order to when we picked up our food, which is better compared to other locations with 30+ min waits (long lines and slow food preparation). Ordering at the Kiosk is way more difficult than it needs to be. They dont offer a free cup of water and they add in a mandatory tip. Overall, good fast food burger but small for the price of $7. Spicy Cheese Fries - Was expecting animal style fries with real cheese and spicy sauce. Instead it was fries with ghost pepper seasoning sprinkled on top and a nacho cheese style sauce on the side. Cheese sauce didn't actually taste like nacho cheese and reminded me of a kraft cheese, a little artificial tasting but grew on me and was overall ok. The fries were solid, crinkle cut, fluffy, and not too oily. The ghost pepper seasoning was a little spicier than expected and wasn't tossed in the fries, but just kinda dumped on top. As a result, it wasn't well spread and under-seasoned. The amount of fries was underwhelming and I was expecting more than a small box for $6. Dragon fruit pomegranate lemonade - Decent drink. A little too concentrated and on the sweeter side. A lot more lemonade flavor than dragon fruit or pomegranate. The restaurant is located in a nice mall with a variety of other great options in the food court. The restaurant looked clean as well as the food court. Employees were nice and service was fast. It is located at Montgomery mall so it can be busy at times. I order the shake burger, chicken bites, and regular fries. The burger was very tasty but a little bit greasy. The chicken bites were so salty I was dying for a drink of water. The fries were a little bit bland so 2/5 rating. Have wanted to try Shake Shack for a long time and heard great things. Had my first experience today with this location. NOT GOOD. I ordered a Shack burger with bacon and avocado, with a lettuce wrap. Thin burger, a bit tough on the edges, lettuce was not edible, old, limp and soggy and browing on the edges. Had to throw the lettuce out. Tomato, bacon, small pieces, tomato not too fresh it seemed. I also bit down on the small seed that is on the top of an avocado before you peel it. Thankfully, didn't break a tooth! Lastly, the fries were WEIRD. No flavor, weird texture. This order came through the Door Dash app, so I complained and thankfully they gave me a full credit back. This shake shack location is located in the Montgomery mall food court, and the food itself is pretty standard for shake shack (super filling and delicious!), but this store is a bit disorganized. It was busy when I was there, which definitely added to the disorganization, but I recommend mobile ordering before you get there because you will have to wait (especially if you go at a busy time). I had placed my order on the app, but there was a large group of customers gathered by the "pick up" counter all waiting for their orders when my app notified me that my order was ready. I ended up having to wait about 15 mins after I was notified, because the workers were putting the completed orders on the shelves behind the counter but not handing them to the customers, causing the crowd to continue to grow. I asked for a cup of water, and was told by one worker that they do not give out cups of water and only sell bottles, but a different worker at the same restaurant gave me a cup of water only a few minutes later so I'm not sure if their policy is standardized or not? Overall, I have no complaints about the food, but I hope the staff here figures out a better system for handing out food! read more

Disappointing! I love love love Shake Shack...disappointed in the service at this new location. My son ordered me carry out at the new location at Montgomery Mall...the burger came in the parchment paper sleeve, the fries were not in a box and had no covering...cheese for the fries was in a clump it was like the cheese residue from the top that had been sitting there for a while...no napkins no little wooden fork for the cheese fries. I'm sorry but I guess I just like certain standards when you are doing carry out and I guess I'm used to shake shack putting the burger and fries in a box when doing carry out...will stick with the Potomac, DC and Tysons location when doing carry out...and they didn't even have the truffle burger and fries lol read more

This location has a chronic habit of not realizing your online order is ready to be picked up and literally already sitting on the shelf. They don't text you when its ready. Twice we've ordered online and it got labeled as a Doordash order incorrectly and left on the wrong part of the shelf until we asked employees to check for it. Food was cold. This Shake Shack location has among the worst service I've ever encountered for a fast food restaurant. We placed our order using the kiosk and i asked for a cup of water and the lady in front said thus location does not offer tap water as they don't have a filter. I've never heard that before, but they're newly opened so maybe they're experiencing some initial issues. When our order was ready, I then order a bottle of water from the cashier (the only thing in my new order), and she asks for my name. I ask why she needs my name, as it's just a bottle of water and not something they have to prepare. I pay for the water and three people next to the registers are just standing around. I then ask politely for my water and no one responds. I then have to raise my voice requesting my water and then someone else finally goes to the side fridge and grabs my water for me, while the cashier has her back turned to me.
