I love Shake Shack burgers - especially the portabella mushroom (veg) one. This time however, I got the Korean chicken sandwich and was disappointed...it didn't taste like Korean chicken. We also got a malt vanilla milkshake, lemonade and korean fries. The vanilla malt milkshake was delicious. The lemonade and fries was okay... Not the best but wasn't bad. My Uber drove me past Shake Shack and I thought, 'I haven't been in a Shack Shack in ages. So he dropped me off for a spontaneous lunch. Pleased to see it wasn't packed yet and they've implemented ordering on tablets. This made the ordering process super easy. I'm a diabetic so I got 2 hot dogs with lettuce wraps. I cheated with a small French fry order. Unsweetened ice tea. The attendant in the dining room welcomed me, I chose my table and placed the number sign so he could see it easily. Been here so many times over the years that it's overdue for a review. The burgers particularly are so delicious, hot, crisp and a great sauce on a soft potato bun is perfection. This shake shack is so cute! they have beautiful seating outdoors with string lights hanging above & a large amount of seating indoors where it's nice and cold for the summer. I had fries, a bacon cheeseburger & a black and white shake - all which were good and satisfying especially on a hot day. The employees were very nice too as they greeted us and said bye to us with a smile when passing by as we left. My burger was juicy at this location, which is good considering I recently had a less than stellar stellar experience in Menlo Park. It seems all locations are a bit slow when turning out the burgers but this place was better than average. The place needed a sweeping when I arrived but they cleaned up soon after I arrived so I assume someone had just left with a small child. I like how they have a lot of windows and can completely open the place up to the street in the summer. It's a nice atmosphere. read more

What happened to Shake Shack? This location is terrible. I hadn't had SS in a while but remember it as a favorite if I'm in the mood for "fast food", so I placed a doordash order. The dasher waited for the food and delivered it promptly, so why were the cheese fries ice cold? Cheese sauce on the side was solid and congealed. The bacon avocado chicken sandwich tasted of old, nasty oil and the bacon was hard as a rock, inedible. The shakeburger was good, but I opted for "crispy" onion add on, which were also overfried and stuck in my teeth. All that for $32 bucks! McDonalds on route 22 is so much better! read more

Great way to satisfy a burger craving is a Double Shack Burger. Very savory burger with fresh tomato, lettuce & their signature sauce. The burgers are on the small side so value wise its not the best but their focus is quality over quantity. Can get quite pricey if you come here on a empty stomach. The fries are just okay. Hit or miss, sometimes they are not as hot as you like them to be. Location wise, it's very conveniently located by the mall, and easy to get to (rt 202 & rt 22 nearby). This place really needs to learn how the order ahead on the app works.... the whole purpose of ordering ahead is so the food is ready to go and you don't need to wait. However the food here is consistently late... at least 10min on most visits. On my last visit they somehow managed to be 30min late! Taste wise, the burger quality is fine, although not as good as the SSs in Manhatten. The other NJ SSs don't seem to be so late so I'll likely start using a different location from now. read more

I visited twice in Nov 2021, and both times waited 10 minutes longer than the estimated time (which was already about 20 minutes). If you place an order online, expect to wait once you arrive. There's nothing wrong with it, but Shake Shack isn't something worth waiting for. As one of the few Shake Shacks in the central jersey area, this location is a gold mine. Definitely a fast-casual place. The type of date night location after you've been dating for a while. I stopped in for a quick dinner with my husband and I personally ordered the shroom burger. If you're not familiar with it, it's a vegetarian burger and it's really good. The cheese is perfect and not too hot that it burns your mouth (this was a fear of mine). My husband ordered the house burger which was also rather tasty. Something to remember, the burgers are smaller than you would expect and fries are not complementary so do order them separately. The fries were good, pretty standard crinkle cut. Coke: Had a little too much ice in it but still tastes like coke. Cheese Fries: The cheese is so hot and gives the french fries the cheesy taste that it is supposed to. Chick'n Shack: The chicken is crispy and the meat inside is soft. This was cooked to the right temperature and was very good. Chick'n Bites: These were a decent size but I don't know if it was worth the $5-$7. I think other fast food chains have better chicken nuggets than this. Shroom Burger: It has the crispy mushroom burger kind of a taste. This was a unique kind of a burger because the burger itself is the mushroom. I believe they made this for people that do not eat beef or chicken. Overall: This restaurant has a lot of seating inside and even has some seating outside for people who have pets or just want to enjoy the nice weather. I returned here quickly due to a promotional code I received. This time I ordered the SmokeShack. It came with Applewood smoked bacon, chopped cherry peppers and the ShackSauce. Their bites are incredibly soft and the breading is light and I'm a fan of the sauce it comes with. The chicken sandwich could use more of the slaw it comes with for more fresh texture but it's good. Ok so I came here once after Christmas shopping. The place was a disaster. Mess on the tables everywhere. While the employees were awesome the place was a mess. I was surprised but a member of Shake Shack reached out to me and was concerned about my review. They asked me to come back and give them another chance. As fate would have it, I was in the area not long after they reached out to me and I was hungry. This time the place was packed. Insane crazy, people were waiting to sit at tables. After I placed my order with the friendly cashier I was standing near where the orders are picked up so others who had their meal could sit and eat. The first thing I noticed was two people walking around cleaning tables, taking trays and asking people how their meal was. Wow, what a nice change from the last time I was there. It was difficult ordering with the plexiglass between us and the masks over our face while the kitchen was banging in the background. I had to yell my phone number out repeatedly. The cashier laughed it off as his own difficulty hearing but at least they only allow one person in the lobby so not everyone heard it. I did enjoy the food.
