As a returning customer, I had to stop by Blue Sheep Bake Shop's new location. They've moved from their old spot on Division Street to Main Street. It's a short walk away, and they are now in Epic Cookies' old location. This new space is bigger and more front and center. A lot of people did not realize that their old location was even there on Division Street, until I took them there. They just opened this location about three days ago, so it was pretty busy when I visited today, and even Karin and her husband were in there helping out! Both very kind people! I came in for my favorite "Death by Chocolate" cupcake and was excited to try two new flavors, Coconut Guava and Lemon Raspberry. I usually check their website ahead of time to see what seasonal cupcakes they have before visiting, I saw those and rush over here. P.s. please bring back the Versailles Cupcake from Summer '25! That raspberry filling is heaven sent, and part of the reason why I came by to try the Lemon raspberry flavor! Even with the rush, the staff was just as friendly as always. I really love it here and always bring my family and friends when they are in town! I'll definitely miss the charm of the old location, but I'm excited for them in this new space and hope that it works out well for them! read more

The best carrot cake cupcake I have had in a long while. I am not into sugary-sweet desserts. Don't get me wrong, I do love a great dessert, but when it tastes like homemade, I'm totally there for it. Upon entering the store, I smelled the wonderful aromas and an even sweeter greeting from the lovely lady behind the counter. She mentioned the owner, Karin Giamella, was a winner of the Food Network Baking Show of the Real Housewives NJ. That's quite an accomplishment! One was a vanilla cake and the other was red velvet -both were a hit. I think each cake was about $45. The cakes are always so beautifully decorated and also very tasty. This is the only bakery where I also enjoy the icing since it doesn't taste overly sweet or artificial. Care in detail for presentation. I ordered a Dubai brownie. This was absolutely delicious. I understand the hype now. I could have more brownie and less ganache later but I have a less milder sweet tooth than others. Trust me I still ate the whole thing and loved every bit. I returned here and ordered some ice cream this time around. They had a number of options available from cupcakes to cookies to macarons and also a Belgian waffle bar. I had a double scoop of strawberry and Oreo ($6+?). I thought the scoops were lacking a little, but not dramatically where it was an issue. The strawberry was one of the best I had, but big pieces of strawberry pieces threw me off a little bit. Besides that, it was creamy and very flavorful. The Oreo was nice as well with pieces of Oreo incorporated. It was solid. I also tried the coconut Nutella and peanut butter special flavor. Both were tasty. I am not a huge fan of coconut, but this combination with the Nutella really was appetizing. The peanut butter was full of peanut butter flavor, but not overdone. After years of using them, I am so incredibly disappointed to post this negative review about Blue sheep. This year, my daughter made a drawing of her dream cake for her 7th birthday. I contacted Blue Sheep, and included the picture of her drawing on the request form. The owner quickly responded to the e-mail excitedly and asked to speak to my daughter on the phone. I was hesitant, but trusted that it would be a good experience. My daughter spoke to the owner on the phone, and she asked her questions to make sure she made the cake just right. She said she would write it up and get back to us. My daughter was so excited that they would bring her cake to life. We allowed her some time to send the invoice, as we know the shop is busy. After a couple weeks, I sent a follow up on our e-mail exchange, but received no response. I sent another follow up the following week, and received no response. After another week of nothing, my husband left a voicemail with the owner, but she never called back. A couple days later, I sent another email asking if they could please let us know if they can no longer make the cake so that we can make other arrangements. We never received a reply. Finally, I texted the owner. She responded saying sorry that she's driving and doesn't have our information on her. I sent her the pic of the cake. Then she said she is short staffed and behind on email. I responded that I'm sorry she is behind and that it had been weeks since we last spoke, and we sent multiple follow ups and a voicemail. She never responded to that last text. I could never respect a company or person that could treat a child like this. I dropped by Blue Sheep Bake Shop to grab a little sweet treat for the holiday break! I got a couple of things and this is my breakdown: Vanilla Macarons- 5/5. These were probably the best macarons I've ever had. They were fluffy and soft. The filling inside was light and delicious. Strawberry Champagne Cupcake- 10000/5. Honestly, I've never had a cupcake taste this good. The champagne flavoring in the batter was prominent and the frosting was a great fruity touch. This cupcake came together so well and was extremely unique. I could eat these all day! Boston Creme Cupcake- 3.5/5. The bottom part of the cupcake tasted fabulous along with the filling but the frosting was a little too dense for me. It was a chocolate covered icing ball. This might be good for those with a big sweet tooth though! Red Velvet Cupcake- 4/5. The bottom was nice and chocolatey while the icing was fluffy! I prefer a less chocolate based red velvet cake with a cream cheese based frosting but that's just a personal preference. This was very well made. Lemon Raspberry Margarita Cupcake- 4.5/5. Another unique experience from Blue Sheep. The decorations were adorable on this one. I wish there had been more of a margarita flavor to the batter but I loved the raspberry and lemon together. Sadly, there was only one vegan flavor - I was super excited, till I realized it had caffeine in it.
