I ordered for take-out on my way home from the mall on a Friday night, around 6:00. I tried to order ahead from their website, but the order never progressed beyond "Processing your order!" I finished my last errand and walked over. The place was packed! I could scarcely get in the door. There was a crowd of people on one side, waiting to pick up their orders, and a crowd on the other side, waiting to place orders. Every table was full. It was 6:30 before I was able to order, and I was informed there was a 25-30 minute wait. The person who took my order was very polite and efficient. I left to kill some time and came back at 7:00. It was about 5 minutes before they called my name. From what I could see, the place looked clean. The staff in charge of the takeout orders were very organized, efficient, and friendly. Considering how busy they were, the staff did a really great job. The food was delicious! The kitchen was also on point that night. I don't think I'd go back on a Friday night, but I'd definitely go back at a less busy time. read more

I am disappointed with shake shack. The burger was thin and dry. The fries were half a container. My son ordered a creamsicle and the person brought a paper cup with ice cream in it. He then found out he had to make it himself but it wouldn't stir. Would it be too much trouble to mix a drink after spending $5.39 for a small hard scoop of ice cream? anyway I thought shake shack was supposed to be good read more

This location is always busy and it's understandable because it's been the only one on Staten Island for around a year before the one in the Outlets opens. The line moves fast but service after that is slow. It also always seems like there's not enough seating. The tables sometimes aren't cleaned off and the bathrooms aren't the cleanest either. So i think i have been to SS once, before visiting the new location by SI Mall. I place my order at 9:50pm and got my order at 10:10. I ordered the SS special burger, single patty and the chicken sandwich. So besides waiting 20 minutes the burger we very tasty, so was the chicken sandwich. SO i just don't get what the hype is all about, the burgers are small and service was way to long for a small burger and small chicken sandwich. The crinkle fries where nothing to brag about. gave it a 3 star for the fact that the burgers are way to small. I took 4 bites and I was done. read more

I have a bias pov. I usually have it in the city and am use to the prices. Burger and fries taste exactly like the way I like it. Can't complain about the food. Parking wise, it's the mall. They converted it from a standard mall to a galleria. It wasn't that bad but if it was the middle of the day/night I'd give it some buffer time. Other wise decent amount of seating with some outdoor tables and there is a whole open area just no shade. Only thing I would I say is, they need to get up to speed on the online ordering. ASAP - 60+ minutes makes is a big difference. PS - Some old couple was complaining about the wait. Most orders came out 5-10 minutes. You're ordering food that is made to order. Always great service when the place is getting swamped with people the staff still gave a smile and were nice, the best part us certain recommendations and as always the burgers melt when tried the chicken. Well this experience was an emotional roller coaster to say the least. The clock was ticking and it was about 8:30pm and I had been watching Trailer Park Boys all day and Randy kept making cheeseburgers (free positive advertising for Shake Shack). So I thought to myself "hey I haven't been to shake shack yet". So I rally some troops and head over there. Upon entrance a friend who's name I will not disclose is in there and telling us it's awful and no bueno. We will call him Pat Ford just for the story. Anyways, I order and drop 27 paper George Washington's to pay for my huge meal. The food comes out quick, and one bite in and I felt like Anton Ego from Ratatouille when he was taken back to his childhood. It reminded me of Steak n Shake after a long day rastling gators. Finally Shake Shack has come to the island. It's a great place to get a good burger. A bit of warning:he lines can get crazy long here. Luckily they have an app you can use to order ahead. I unfortunately had the displeasure of having my order taken by Shawadeja. I was literally the first person in the store at 11am and I couldn't believe the attitude this person gave me. Slouched over the register, rushed me through my order, when I had a question I was given an attitude like I was an idiot for not knowing, ripped the money out of my hand and then proceeded to take about a minute to give me back my change. I was hoping I was done with all that but as I went to the side to get my drink and wait for my order, the person that gets the food together for you was just staring at me. Even when I made eye contact with her she didn't break her stare. So weird. I've been to about 6 other Shake Shacks and everyone was always courteous and helpful, but the workers in this store are a joke! They just opened and if this keeps up they are gonna close just as fast. read more

While the food is good, they have the worst service. They are unorganized, every single time I have eaten there or had my food to go they have MESSED up my order. Every.single.time. This was a very popular spot for the first few moths that it was open. Luckily now it has calmed down making the lines a lot shorter which is good cause you were waiting around for a while. Some days its close to it. I find that the burgers are very very salty and that it takes away from the quality and taste that the food actually is. The fries for me aren't that great not my kind of fries. They are soft and nit crunchy at all. I try not to go there unless there are no other options. read more

The lines are long like people say but it's nothing crazy. I recommend doing an online order for pick up that's what I did and it only took around 10 minutes. There were a lot of people waiting because there was an extra wait for anyone who ordered ice cream for some reason. But all the workers were super nice and kept checking on everyone and telling them their stuff would be out as soon as possible. read more

At first visiting this shake shake I wasn't too happy because I ordered a simple chocolate shake with a plain cheese burger and because of how crowded the place was it took almost an hour for my food! I've heard lots of great things about shake shack and why not go there and try it out from all the people who said is the best burger in the world. When I walked into shake shack all you smell was the beef going into a nice char grill and I was thinking this is going to be the burger. Lots of people get the shack burger which is there number one seller so I ordered it with the side of there famous crinkle cut fries and a vanilla shake, as I was walking to my table I picked up the burger and it was like heaven in my mouth the burger was juicy. The fries were amazing, it was crispy and awesome. And I also didn't forget about the vanilla shake it was so creamy that I wanted to buy another one that's how good it was. I've read that people freaked out when Shake Shack tried to do what every pub these days does, hand cut fresh fries, but people revolted. This shake shack is amazing. Not only is the food cooked perfect and comes out amazing every time- but the staff are amazing too. They are very personable and go above your expectations to make sure you have a good experience. Everyone looks happy and like they want to be there from the cooks in the back to the register works and the expeditors to the management who come by your tables to check if everything came out alright. Went for my first time yesterday and it was really good. A little pricy but the flavor was on point. My only issue is that the fries were a little too salty, not unbearable but just okay and the lemonade was a little too sweet but I enjoyed everything and will be back to try the other burgers and shakes. read more
