I've never in my life been so disgusted. After a 13 hour shift working at the hospital as a nurse - my boyfriend and I were looking for something *quick* to eat because we were both starving after work. We pulled into one of the stalls and hit the red button. After waiting 15 minutes for someone to answer us - someone finally answered over the intercom "stalls are closed, go through the drive through" to which we reply-Ed "oh come on you guys suck we've been waiting here 15 minutes already". We pulled around to the drive thru and oh goodness, retaliation followed. After ordering our food and paying we were given our food by a girl with many tattoos in on her arms. I said "thank you" and she rudely turned away and didn't reply. After opening our bag to eat because we were so hungry I unwrapped a grilled cheese to find this. The staff took a bite out of the food I paid for. I'm so grossed out, this is disgusting, unsanitary and so wrong!!!! We spent $43 and didn't take one bite out of our food. We returned home hungry and threw a giant bag of food out because lord only knows what else was done to the food in our bag. Did they spit on it? Throw items in the floor? Cough on it? Rub it on the toilet seat? Sonic review the staff you have working for you. You lost a costumer and I will absolutely tell everyone this story. Here goes. Let me put a little info out there before I blast this particular Sonic. I know there'll be some who feel it's not fair to give a fast food establishment a one star being it's already low quality and such but I've been to Sonics all along the eastern seaboard and was amazed by both the speed of the employees and the how hot the food arrived each time. I planned on feasting so I ordered the bacon cheeseburger toaster, medium onion rings, and a corn dog. I wanted my burger with mayo but instead they sent it with BBQ sauce. I also ordered a medium onion ring but instead got a small but the receipt showed I paid for a medium. I also wanted a corn dog but didn't get that either. Literally there was something wrong with every aspect of my order. While trying to order through a broken screen I figured there'd be a problem with the order seeing how the person on the other side was distracted the entire time. "SIR I WASN'T TAWKIN TO YOU UGHH". Do not come here!! We placed an online order and drove up to the intercom, waited 5 minutes for someone to come on and tell us to go to drive thru to pick up our order. The drive thru line was so long and not moving so we went into the store to pick up. We pressed the bell for assistance, first employee came out and said give her a few minutes then never came back. Second employee completely ignored us until we told her we are here to pick up an online order. The food was terrible and cold!! The burger wrapper was all wrinkly and half opened in the bag. I would give a zero star if I could. I went here tonight at 7;19. Tonight the service was horrendous. I order two sonic Reese blast which I've been getting all summer. But today the staff was goofing off yelling loudly and acting like kids which I get but not when customers are present. Which is why the product was subpar. When they finally gave me the ice cream it had huge holes straight down the middle and proceed to tell me it's normal. Well I ordered it enough to say it's not. Also no crumble Reese on top which has been the norm. So I said I'm not taking them I want a refund I was ignored. Open late which is always great. The server was friendly. Food was ok, not great. Some things were over-fried like the onion rings and cheddar poppers. Sonic is one of those places you must try at least once but you will probably regret it. Most of the delicious items are fried and you will feel like shit after. This is the most disgusting place I ever ordered from. The floors were like glue since they are never mopped. There are rat traps exposed inside the restaurant (see photos below). Happened a few months ago, they decided to close early as i was on line for the drive thru. There was a traffic cone moved to the side, so i joined the line. An employee comes up to my driver side window after a few minutes of being behind 3 other cars. Holding the cone up, trying to be a smart-a** and goes,"did you move my cone, bro?" , i said , " I didnt move your cone, "bro". if it was in the way, i would continue on down page avenue". Let me just say that I used to work at sonic when I was a teenager and I know how long everything needs to be cooked for in the fryer and grill and so forth. I have ordered food from here on maybe about 5 different occasions, and let me tell you that each time I received disgusting overcooked food. This Sonic is the absolute worst one I have ever bought from. Been there several times and each time hoping the food would be better quality. Waited 15 minutes the last time for a small order of fries that takes 3 minutes to cook in the fryer and the ones I received were obviously sitting in the Fry bin for at least 30 minutes. I will never eat here again. I dont know if this is an Excel Sonic or a DL Rogers Sonic (which are owned by two different Franchises) but the management needs to take a hard look at the staff and do a whole lot of firing. Or better yet quality this bad thats been going on this long has to be a problem with the upper management and they too need to be terminated. This Sonic is an absolute disgrace. However the most maddening thing that they do at this location is leave all the lights on including the sign that says drive-through open until 1130 12 o'clock A.m. while they are cleaning up. So you as a consumer, you think they are open you pull in to get something and they completely ignore you. I am literally describing knocking on the drive through window to see if they are open or not and they won't even turn around. All they have to do is turn off the sign above the drive-through window that says drive-through open and nobody's going to pull in there expecting them to be open! I went there with my family a couple of months ago when it first opened up. We were very disappointed with the food. For starters, the food came out cold. The food was really no better than what you would get at a McDonald's dollar menu. On top of that, it was very pricey. We all got burgers, fries, shakes and paid close to $40.00. We could've went elsewhere and gotten much better food for less. By the way, eating in your car is highly overrated and not to mention very messy. Somehow, I pictured that it would be nostalgic like the scenes in movies from the fifties. Not really!! As for the service... Consistently mediocre service. Prepare to check your bags and open everything to make sure you actually received what you ordered. They'll mess up your order and lie about it to your face. Don't order more than one or two items because it confuses the workers. Go to Burger King for Burgers instead, I really only come here for drinks and tots but even that can be messed up.
