Since I've been back visiting, I've noticed US chains here don't have the same customer service or quality and consistency. Case in point, this is the second time I've gotten chips from this location and both times they were stale. I've also gotten them from Dixie Rd Mississauga and they were good. I've never gotten stale chips from a US location. I worked at a US Chipotle between degrees and we never had this complaint. Maybe things have changed or maybe they do things differently here, but we used to make them fresh daily each morning. The only way I see them being this stale is that they keep leftovers instead of tossing/donating. I've tried filling out the online survey from the receipt and no one replied. The smell and the atmosphere have resonated in my mind since then. For years, I avoided going but a certain comfort comes from knowing this place is there. The menu hasn't changed. It's what you would expect in an 80s/90s burger joint, updated to include current trends like poutine. It is the only place that has fountain juice which is another comfort. A large variety of bottle/cans of soda and juice as well. My daughter and I shared the grilled cheese which was cooked to my liking. The fries were perfectly salted and the fountain juice was just as I remember. Service was quick and friendly. They also have a steady stream of customers primarily locals. I told the employee that and she simply gave me another cup, which is also completely flat without any bubbles.
