I can't say enough good things about Julie and her wonderful photo booth! I am a Wish Coordinator at the Make-A-Wish Foundation Greater Los Angeles and had the privilege of having Shake That Boothy work a 17th birthday party wish that i planned this past weekend. Other than the DJ, I didn't have any sort of entertainment/activities planned and who doesn't love a good photo booth? Luckily for me, Julie was able to come to my rescue, 3 days prior to the party... I have been to about three weddings now that all used Shake That Boothy. Each time the bride loved it! The amazing owner Julie built the "booth" herself and her staff is mostly college kids and artists in need of extra $$$. Totally community driven unlike giant booth companies like Magnolia, Shutter Box and other ridiculously priced options. The system stands alone and can be run with the folks in the picture pressing the button themselves. Usually two strips of photos pop out meaning more people can enjoy them. The booth is actually open without the enclosed area so 10+ people can fit into one photo. Plus Julie always brings a crap load of props ensuring have super fun pictures. SUCH A GREAT IDEA! Everyone loves photobooths. They're super fun and really popular with all ages. Shake That Boothy was at my friend's 18th birthday party a couple years ago, and my friends and I all had a really fun time. Even all the adults were taking pictures--the line got really long. Before it used to be just a screen with a fancy camera that you controlled with this remote whenever you wanted to snap the picture. But Boothy was also recently at my cousin's wedding last month, and it sure did upgrade A LOT! It's a really big box with a touchscreen display, an automated voice that told counted down 3-2-1 right before 4 pictures were taken, and now you can even send your pictures straight your facebook or twitter in addition to printing out a couple photos for yourself! I highly recommend Shake that Boothy for any event! STB was at my wedding this past weekend and was a huge hit! The guests loved making silly faces and using the variety of props (all supplied by STB) in the booth. STB is not an enclosed booth, so a big group can fit into one photo together. My husband and I took photos with our entire wedding party! It's also touch screen and easy to operate. Looking through our photo gallery, I see that many people who just met that night were taking photos together in the STB booth! Julie was a pleasure to work with! Shake That Boothy was present at one of my best friends weddings that I was in...and it was a great time! So great, that it is worthy of my first review on my 2 year old Yelp account! Why have I not written a review until now? Perhaps laziness, or perhaps I have just not been impressed with much in the last 2 years. However, this photobooth is worthy of praise. All the guests, including myself, had an absolute blast taking endless photos throughout the night with some ridiculous props. The first photo booth I ever had the pleasure of using at an event was 5 years ago. It was a closed photobooth, kinda like the old school ones you see at fairs and theme parks. It was fun and all, but after trying Shake that boothy, I love the open setting. Seriously you can fit like 10 people in one shot, instead of like 2 (maybe 3 skinny people). I love the set up, and I love that you can have a green screen so you can put whatever random background you want. There is just a lot of flexibility so you can customize it to whatever your event may be. Shake that booty was at one wedding I went to and the bride had setup their own background. Then, I went to b-day party where they used the green screen to make it look like a zoo. Totally different events, but both looked awesome. So, look out world - more reviews from me to come! Back to STB. We recently used STB for our wedding on 9/29/12 - their open concept photo booth was a hit!! Even our older guests got into the photoboth and had zero difficulty operating the booth. Maybe even more impressive was the touch screen monitor guests were able to use to view the photographs then instantly post to Facebook and instagram! Of course all guests still got to walk away with a printed copy of the pictures, but it was very convenient to live post to FB. STB is also super professional. Julie made sure that all our requests were accommodated before the big day and we had a chance to preview the proof of how the photos printed as well as the types of available props. I used this company for my wedding and was SUPER happy with it - I love that it's "open air" and that you're not confined to an actual booth. Trying to fit 10 people in a small wooden box is not fun and there will always be at least one person whose face doesn't make it in the shot. With Shake That Boothy you can get a LOT of people in the picture which equals a lot more hilarious pictures of your guests. Also, because it's open air you can have whatever background you want for the booth - I was able to re-purpose my ceremony backdrop as the photobooth backdrop. THE POSSIBILITIES ARE ENDLESSSSSS. I've seen some other open air "photobooths" at weddings, which are not really photobooths because it's just a photographer taking pictures of the guests against a backdrop and then you have to get the pictures later at the photographer's website or something. LAMESVILLE. Shake that Boothy is awesome because it combines the flexibility of the open air concept with the instant gratification of getting your pictures printed out on a strip right there like a traditional photobooth. Do NOT use these photographers! Upon meeting and greeting, my sales person could not have been nicer. But, when it came to delivering, I found them to be dishonest and outright liers. When I tried to talk to them about my 'issues,' they were obnoxious and just plain didn't care. My wedding photos did not come out well and the photographer neglected to take photos of most of my guests. WIth SO many other photographers around, save yourself a headache. read more

I first encountered the company at my cousin's wedding in November of 2013 and was immediately impressed with what they had to offer. The whole night, the guests were in and out of the photo booth! When they came to my wedding in July of 2014, they continued to meet my expectations. The photo booth tenant was very kind, fun, and helpful. One thing that really sets Shake That Boothy apart from other photo booth companies is that the photo booth is not closed in, but instead open so that a lot of people can fit into the pictures. My guests, husband, and I loved this feature! Additionally, their equipment does not take up a lot of space, so it kind of blends into the wedding décor. All of my guests loved their photos and my husband and I loved that we got to digitally view them via a downloadable zip file (that we got to keep) and via Facebook as well!
