Would definitely give a 4. Traditional North-Indian cuisine, albeit may not be an Indian cuisine. Could get the taste of all the items. Good thing about ordering a buffet is that you can pick any other item that is served and not available at the stalls. Dessert's pretty average, don't expect too much given an average price. Food's good. Ambience is average and sometimes cramped up if more than 10 people. And yeah, on a sunday you'll not be enjoying your lunch/dinner given the crowded locality. Though the food is tasty, the service at Shalimar Grill stinks. On three separate occassions, we ordered Beef Kababs for pick-up and they gave us Chicken Kababs. After confronting them the last time stating that we specifically stated beef, they argued with us. Besides the need for a store clean-up, they need to clean out their ears because they don't hear so well. The customer is always right rule does not hold here and I would steer clear away from Shalimar. Afterwards, we went to Ali Baba Grill, which is a small space just next door and their kababs were amazing and they had great customer service! read more

every sunday me and my friend go there for breakfast every time i found dirty table and chairs lady were last time were too much because lady employee were sleeping on the chair and she was so upset when i gave her order for halwa puri i clean table and chair myself she didn't even ask to do that, there was no chanay with puri she gave mutter paneer in halwa puri breakfast, owner should check time by time his employee instead of just make money. employee has no manners to talk. im going to find any other restaurant to go for breakfast. read more

The worst experience at any restaurant. Street cart food vendors provide better service than this place. They took our order, made us wait 30 minutes, and when we went to pick the food up they apparently "missed" our order and had to take it again. Then they took the order again and made us wait another 30 minutes. Its funny because people who came after me, ordered, ate and left before i even got my food. Waited for half hour for a take out order. The lady was on phone while taking order and moving around took ten mins to take the order. Finally said no credit cards for less than $20 order. We were just short of 20. Had no cash. We requested again to take debit card at least. The lady just ignored and kept talking on phone like we didn't exist. The food is great (which is why the 3 stars), As far as the service is concerned, it varies. The people behind the counter are courteous in most cases but at times I feel they are overwhelmed resulting in one feeling totally ignored. For example, my pick up order which was called in 30 minutes before was handed off to another customer. My complaint was met by a visible tantrum by the cook doing the Barbque behind a glass window. The only thing recommended from the menu are all items from the grill/ Barbque, the rest of the food in the display is pre-cooked and microwaved before making its way to your table. read more

after seeing so many positive reviews for biryani....tried that .....GOAT biryani was tasteless.. biryani was worst than any usual biryani you get at any other restaurant....no aroma...no masala....no taste in the nv pieces....and bland rice.
