Saw Dr Baik on April 30th. My appointment was at 2 p.m. Upon arrival at 1:45, found office locked. They finally opened the door at 2:12 pm siting they were in a meeting for being late. Only reason I came to this location was due to the fact this facility was in-network with Delta Dental. Received a preliminary plan with estimate of costs. Both my regular Dentist and Delta Dental advised me to request for this office to submit the info to Delta Dental for pre approval. It took this office a week to do this. When the office mgr, Melinda, submitted the info to Delta Dental, it was determined the summary file was NOT readable. Delta Dental sent Melinda an email stating this, but no reply. I was forced to conference the call between Delta Dental & Melinda at Dr Baik's office. Melinda is overbearing, unprofessional, and can't seem to be bothered to answer a question directly when I asked her if she sent it via PDF. She had NO CLUE HOW SHE SENT THE SUMMARY FILE, BUT realized the file she submitted was unreadable. She was suppose to fax this to Delta Dental, but they NEVER received. She NEVER bothered to respond back to Delta Dental. Delta Dental advised the fax was NOT received. I attempted to request Melinda to send me a readable copy of the summary so I could fax, along with asking her to fax it again. She kept interrupting me and would NOT listen to my request. She is a person who plays victim and kept saying over and over that she can only do her job and REFUSED to listen. Needless to say, I would NOT TRUST this office at all. The reviews on the Delta Debtal website also are NOT the best too. BEWARE

The good: The staff was really helpful when booking the appointment. Melinda & Debbie were great! They called my insurance to make sure all was good, they called me several times to give me updates and they even called me to offer me a more convenient time. Kudos to them. The bad: When I asked if the doctor is going to at least do a visual inspection of my teeth she said that she couldn't because we have to get some x-ray done and/or a teeth cleaning. I am no dentist and I understand that getting an x-ray will help to see if we have something "hidden" going on however you don't NEED an x-ray for a 5 minutes visual inspection just to see if there was anything going on that she'd spot. She did not do it and left. I could have had a big open cavity on the right side of my mouth but I don't know and I have to wait for an opening. They did not even offer me a glass of water/mouth wash to rinse the residue of tartar/products in my mouth after the very light cleaning. Honestly I felt completely insignificant, that they really did not want me there and that they only wanted me to come back to charge me more service to my insurance.

They checked it out told me I could keep my tooth and just put a crown on it. The dental assistant was great , however the male main dentist, not so much we will get more into that later. So I came in for a second appointment. They shaved my tooth down and put on a temporary crown. After a few days I had to come back in to have them shave down the temporary tooth because it was cutting my tongue. I let them know during the appointment that my mouth was still numb on both sides and they told me it would go away. Well it took over two month due to them hitting a nerve. The dentist response to when I told him my mouth was still numb was ," well... hopefully it will come back soon." I was then told the crown would be ready in a week or two, they told me they would give me a call back when it was ready. Three weeks goes by then five weeks, so I called the dentist and they were like it's ready, and set up an appointment. Still don't understand why I had to call them and not me but not the point. I go in to get the crown on, I explain to the dentist how it hurts to eat with the crown. He told me it was probably from the temp. Crown. So I go no numbing and no laughing gas because he told me there should be no pain. He takes it off , touches my tooth once. Instant pain down my jaw. I have him numb me then he puts on the crown and I move on with my life. I did my research was still having pain it said to wait a few weeks before calling back the dentist if pain was still occurring. So still I could not eat on that side of my mouth. I call back after a few weeks go by after seeing a different dentist since I don't trust them anymore. To inform them that the tooth they shaves and put on a crown on, had an exposed nerve and it was touching the crown and there was a gap that was not bonded from the tooth to the crown. The other dentist told me to inform them since they made the mistake to have them fix it. My insurance would not cover anything new to that tooth because they already worked"fixed it". Do you want to know what they told me? There is nothing I can do for you, you would have to go to a root canal place to have it fixed. Because they don't do root canals. My insurance will not cover that tooth anymore because they already worked on it. They made the mistake they need to fix it. I'm furious. I had to get it removed now because of the damages they have caused to my tooth. Please take my advise and do not go here. They will not listen to you or give you the help you need. Go elsewhere!

I began looking for other professional opinions, one of which was by Dr. Gist. While he could've very easily just put me on a tighter cleaning regimen, he took the time to conduct a comprehensive, thorough exam, 360° sort of x-rays, etc. It was about a month of exams by him, his over-the-top experiences office staff, a periodontist, and an endodontist. The infection was obvious, and could not be denied, but he was also convinced that I had some other really big things going on under my crowns/veneers from said former dentist. And boy was he right. I've included pictures of what he uncovered (please keep in mind that I was going to see my former dentist every three months for cleanings, so it is not like I did not take care of my teeth), as well as a picture of my smile today. Before I came in I could not even take naps because my sleep apnea was so bad. Now I can sleep through the entire night. Ask about their laser treatment for the throat. It was a miracle worker for sleeping and breathing. Plus I widened my mouth and because of that my teeth were completely spaced and in a couple hours she made them look better than ever with composites. His release ended up taking a couple of sessions, but she sang to him and loved on him every session. She had a laser that isn't super common in the area where it can release or help release oral ties in infants without having to do stretches and such. That was so helpful in fully releasing my son's tongue tie. Because of how much that tie would have continued to affect him throughout his life, we are so thankful. This can be a traumatizing experience, but it is most certainly not at Enclave. We love the staff and our son does too! I would choose Dr. Thomas a million times over.
