I paid $150 for their transportation service and also paid out of pocket for all of my prep supplies. When I arrived for my appointment, I was told that the office had given me the wrong colonoscopy prep instructions, which meant my colonoscopy had to be canceled and rescheduled. Since I was already there, in a gown with an iv, they proceeded with the endoscopy. After that. I didn't hear from the office for an entire week. Thev finally called to reschedule the colonoscopy. I returned the call and left a message asking to discuss reimbursement for the transportation and prep expenses I would now have to pay again because of their mistake. No one ever called me back. What's especially frustrating is that the office called and messaged me repeatedly before my procedure to make sure I confirmed my appointment. But when it came time to take responsibility for their error and address my concerns, they went completely silent. It's now been over a month since my procedure. I still have zero biopsy results and nobody will return any of my calls regarding anything. I had to stop taking the medication prescribed to me because the side effects were bad. I called the office to find out what to do about the medication. Never heard back from them. I continue to get sicker with zero answers. I'm hiring a lawyer tomorrow. I would never recommend this practice to anyone.

Come to find out I have hemroids and polyps but I literally had to specifically ask that, they definitely had zero intention of letting me know. I have a history of Gastrointestinal issues with records (which I provided for her). I had a procedure done with her and have had no follow-up from her. I've left messages and was told the doctor is "too busy" with procedures all day to call patients who have questions. The office staff could not answer these questions and I was told only the doctor could...so if she won't call patients and the staff can't help you...I guess you find a new doctor. I feel bad having to give such a poor review but it felt necessary because this is hands-down the WORST office staff experience I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. They are super mis-communicative, rude, belittle your pain, and slow. The slow could be due to over-booking appointments, but the rudeness and miscommunication were absolutely unacceptable. I was given sighs of annoyance of for calling in for my test results so often even though you as the patient are required to call in when you assume the results should be in by. (Versus just having the office call you to notify you of your results which most offices do.) when they give you an estimate of 1-4 weeks for how long the results can take it seems weird to be getting annoyed responses from staff. I was told results were ready over the phone when they were not and then belittled in the background by a staff member being told "I just needed to deal with it" which they were unaware that I could hear. I know they might not have meant much by it but it can be very demotivating and disappointing to hear those things as a patient who is just looking for answers and has been in lots of pain for a long period of time. The time that appointments are at is very general at this office. Both times I had to wait 45 minutes past my appointment start time to even get in a room after being told to be there 30 minutes early. If you are someone who is busy this can really mess with your schedule as most people have strict work hours. Overall, I was just very disappointed and wished my experience had been better. I am not a person to complain as you can probably tell by my very little amount of reviews I give. Audrey, the scheduler at Dr. Kim Almodavar's office, told me she would contact my doctor's office regarding my insurance and any other information needed. Shortly afterward, I received the preparation instructions in the mail along with the date and time of my procedure, so I had every reason to believe everything was confirmed. Between June 1 and June 30, I called the office multiple times (6/1, 6/2, 6/3, 6/9, and 6/30). These calls are all logged on my phone. I repeatedly left messages asking for someone to call me back because I had questions, but no one ever returned my calls. I followed all of the preparation instructions exactly as directed. Anyone who has had a colonoscopy knows the preparation is unpleasant. Unfortunately, I became extremely sick from the magnesium citrate, vomiting repeatedly and feeling miserable, but I completed the preparation because I believed my procedure was scheduled. When I arrived for my appointment, I gave my name at check-in and was told that I wasn't even on the schedule. The only option they offered was for me to continue fasting for another eight hours and hope they could squeeze me in later that day. That is simply unacceptable after everything I had already gone through. What made the experience even more frustrating was that Audrey refused to take responsibility and claimed she had called and left me voicemail messages. That is simply not true. My cell phone is the only number I use, and I did not receive a single call or voicemail from her. Had she actually contacted me, this entire situation could have been avoided. This experience reflects serious problems with both the scheduling process and the office's communication. Their phone system appears ineffective, messages are not returned, and patients are left to deal with the consequences of their mistakes. I do not recommend this practice based on my experience. This is the first negative review I have ever written because I usually try to give businesses the benefit of the doubt. Unfortunately, the way this situation was handled left me with no confidence in this office, and I hope they make significant improvements so other patients don't have to go through what I did.

I was never called with the results of my ultrasound. I called and left a message with someone at the office and still heard nothing. It is always very stressful to get tests done and you want to get the results as soon as possible. Obviously this office does not care about their patients. It was very disheartening. When the doctor that referred me called to follow up, I told her about my experience and lack of follow up. I still never received a call from Dr Almodovar or her office. After research this was the definite best choice. I went to the Livonia location to have my work done. I called and the staff are helpful and friendly with making my appointment. On arriving the nurse was kind and friendly. It was uour typical docyors office. The Dr was very knowledgeable and walked me through the process, showed me the device and gave me over all tips. It was an in and out same day procedure that took about 10 mins and requires 3 visits. There is discomfort but not extreme. Overall it is better than the typical surgery.
