Had a great time at the Angry Elephant, went there on a recommendation from my daughter to watch College Football, and we weren't disappointed. They had a few beers on tap, not as many as some other places but routine beers, Michelob Ultra, Blue Moon, Dogfish head, etc... we started with Chips and Queso,plus Chicken Fried Steak Bites, which were both very tasty. My wife and daughter had the Populist Philly Cheesesteak sandwich, which they split and was very good. I had the Hong Kong Phooey Hot Dog, which, I was not sure how I felt about peanut butter on my Hot Dog, but it blew my taste buds! Very Good! The only issue was there was only 1sever while we were there and made it slow to get refills on drinks and order our main dishes. She was very nice but I felt she could have had some help. The menu is quite bipartisan, really wild, and a bit rude... there is a cocktail called "the governor" because "it will really get you rolling" (Texas Governor Abbott is in a wheelchair). We went with the Reagan burger (their favorite) which is a random combo of blackened shrimp, avacado and jalapeno on 1/2 pound of angus beef. Service was excellent drinks were excellent-- 6 dollar house wine-- shout out to " yellow rose" brewery local to this bar. Drove out to this Angry Elephant to meet my brother and his wife. This was my first visit to an Angry Elephant. ( 2nd visit was the 290 location by me ) We only had drinks here so I can only review those and the place as a whole. Drinks were good. I had both a cucumber and espresso martini that were really good. Hubby had bourbon and liked the selection. We had excellent service! He came by often. My brother comes here a lot so he knows them well. It's a bit loud which I don't mind at a fun bar. Also a bit crowded trying to get to the bathroom. You have to pass the area that has pool tables with people congregating by the walkway. There was a rude patron as we tried to get by his group, but that's no fault of the bar. Definitely a fun, good place to hang out with friends/family. I'm sure the food is as good as the 290 location. read more

As always, the food & drinks are really good. I didn't love the Manhattan, but it's just a preference of ingredients. I recommend my favorite vermouth (Cocchi) to the bartender. We frequented the original San Antonio location when we lived there and were pleased that The Angry Elephant has expanded their menu and kept the same vibe and ambiance going. Kinda angry...arrived at 1:30pm Sunday to a busy restaurant and Only 2!! waitresses working and they were running. Most people went to the bar to get drinks and menus. That should have been our sign to leave and visit during a less busy time but we weren't in that big of a hurry so decided to order wings and fries. We waited and waited and waited -saw people that came in after us get food. We asked both waitresses about our order and got excuses like the ticket got lost and it will only be 4 more minutes Blah blah blah. After an hour (yes I'm really patient) we went to the bar and paid for 3 beers and left. We will not be back ever. Management needs to get to work or this will be another closed restaurant. This establishment has very limited assessable handicap tables. There are two and they are more of a cocktail table. The rest of their seating have high tops and bar stools. Absolutely not assesable. As a resident of the Magnolia area not too many newer bar/food establishments open so had to check it out. The appearance is very well done and high end looking, very comfortable place to be in. Went there yesterday for Happy Hour to watch my Texas Rangers . Karaoke night on Tuesday. The facility is multi-faceted with outdoor covered patio, and a couple bar areas inside. Slightly more upscale than I expected. Menu and art on walls are for patrons who still have a sense of humor. My food was good and beer was cold. Nice clientele. Will be back. read more
