Unfortunately, our interaction with Shane's Appliance Repair was not good. We called for our dryer. An appointment was made... Shane did not show, call or text, after waiting for hours for our 'window'. A month later, we called for another issue on the dryer. Again, appointment made a week out. We were given a 4-hour window... and he did not show up,text, or call again! Would not recommend! read more

TOTAL RIP Off. Wish we had seen other reviews before being subjected to this terrible experience with him. December 2019 -- Our Maytag washer was shaking badly. Shane arrived over an hour late (no apology) and adjusted the legs so washer wouldn't shake. Cost was $65. He did relay to us how he was being sued by other people. Made us wonder. March 11, 2019- Shane arrived to replace a "broken" valve as we had our washer leak out all over the floor. He arrived over an hour late with no apology. Ran us $115. At this point we could not find any other repair service for our home in Peyton, CO. Repair was fine. May 24 -- Repair on same washer was schedule for 5-7pm window of time. We didn't hear from him until 9pm. Tried calling from 7pm on but there was no answer. We felt like we were in the lurch. Shane called us at 9pm saying he was on his way over (Really? at 9 at night). We told him that wasn't going to happen and rescheduled for May 28. May 28 - Shane arrived over 1 1/2 hours late with no apology or phone call to tell us he would be late. He said he had to pull the washer on 6/4 when he got two different part kits. Quoted us $100 for two kits (bearing and another). June 4 - he arrived late again after 8PM at night (are you kidding)? He kept saying how since he lived in the area we were always scheduled last. We let him know this was unacceptable, but no apology. He took our washer and promised to have it back two days later, which turned into 4 more days with no washing machine. June 8 -- He again arrived over an hour late with no apology. Shane told us he had run a couple loads at his home shop and it was fine. We paid him $195 for parts and labor. BIG MISTAKE June 9 - We ran one load of laundry but the second load the washer repeated the same problem, banging around loudly AND leaked out all over the floor. He had told us he would be on vacation until 6/12. June 13 - His wife called us to schedule Shane to show up on 6/15 (Saturday) between 3pm and 5pm to avoid his "lack of punctuality". We voiced our concern about his constant tardiness and lack of communication. June 15 - Shane had his wife call us (whatt?) because it seemed he was avoiding talking to my husband directly. She said Shane insisted the problem was not with his last repair, but that our floor was not level. WHATT? Our floor is fine. I asked why wasn't he calling us and did he plan to arrive on time. She sidestepped the question and told us Shane would contact us right before his appointment between 3pm and 5pm. 5pm came and went and no phone call. We called and left a message at 5pm and we called him at 6pm saying since he was again 1 hour late and that we missed our dinner again, (we have to eat early), that Shane would need to reschedule. We have never heard from him again. June 21 -- We have waited 13 days and tried calling them several times to see what happened to Shane. Not only do they never pick up and answer their phone, but they have not even tried to contact us. We also tried their facebook page to no avail. We had to finally get another washer dryer used set for less than the $195 he swindled us out of. We DO NOT recommend this guy. Seemed nice at the beginning but screwed us in the end. After further review we found out he has "ghosted" several other folks as well. Total rip off. Don't waste your money. Consistently late (up to four hours) on every trip; never once apologized for holding us up, disrespectful of our own time constraints; unethical because he did not want to even make it right and repair it correctly. We have paid him $375 and even waited 13 days for them to contact us. He also told us he was being sued by another guy as well. We now see why. Terrible terrible business practice. Do not recommend in the slightest. Completely unprofessional and a waste of time. The first phone call was made January 17, 2023 to book an appointment to look at a broken washer which they said the earliest they could check it was January 31st. The guy shows up at 7:22 PM (after business hours, which by then we can't get a hold of them because when you call them it goes to voicemail). The guy tells us what's wrong, says he'd give us a quote on the repair and part cost the next day (February 1st). Day goes by, no call. So we called them on February 2nd before noon (So within business hours). They finally call back and say that they ordered the part and will be coming on February 18th between 3PM-7 PM. Which we had to pay for the part over the phone, which cost over $200. February 18th rolls around, nothing. We stayed at home in that time frame, of 3PM-7PM waiting for them to show up. Not a phone call or voicemail. We call them the following Monday asking what happened. They claim to have left a voicemail saying the part that was ordered was not in yet, but the phone has no missed messages/voicemail and there was only one phone number we had left for them to get in contact with us. They reschedule.... again to February 24th and said they would be around 7PM and that the part SHOULD BE in by then. We waited the entire day, called them to see if we could verify they were still coming out, went to voicemail again. It's already past 7PM, no phone call, no showing up. Nothing. We try to call them again, no answer. An hour goes by after the time the guy told us he would show up (before 7PM). They called us close to around 8:40 PM, which we had just missed their call. Mind you, that is the first time we have missed their call and the voice mail they leave is "call me back". So we call them twice to the phone number they called with. Still no answer. We call them one more time after 9:00 PM, and again, no answer. I am not sure how we are supposed to call them about our part, appointments, voicemails, and whatever else we might need to if they don't answer their phone (During and after their business hours). After all this, we are going to get the part from them that we already paid for and take our business elsewhere. read more

What a tremendous disappointment using Shane's Appliance repair has been. He came to repair my dryer. The first time he cut his finger and had to go home. Wasn't feeling well. The second time he replaced the heating element. He said it was fixed, but it wasn't. Then he said it was my neutral leg in the plug. Well, I had that checked out and that wasn't the problem either. He said when I confirmed that the plug was working to call him and he would return. So, I called them a couple of times and got no reply. Completely ghosted - as they say. Then I called Larry's Appliance repair. James from Larry's diagnosed the problem to a faulty time - The knob was wiggly and worn out. James replaced the knob. Problem solved. Bottom line, Shane's wasted my time and money and didn't have the decency to even call me back. Be warned. read more

I was referred by a friend to Shane. I had two issues: a newer dryer and icemaker that stopped working. Shane came out in 2 business days, quickly assessed the problems and repaired both problems. He was even able to fit in a dryer tuneup during his visit. He was professional, friendly, and reasonably priced! I was contemplating four stars because of response time, but that's just the impatient side of me. For these issues, response time was appropriate. read more

Horrible Experience! We called Shane to take a look at our 2015 refrigerator and after a "diagnostic" he said it had a leak and he needed to take it to his shop to be repaired. He loaded it up and set the expectation that he would have it for about 4 days. We paid $200 for the part it supposedly needed and after a week we finally called him to see why we hadn't heard back or received our fridge back. He called us back to let us know that it was the wrong part he ordered and in turn had "accidentally" drained ALL our Freon out of our fridge and said that it needs a new compressor. The compressor was about 9 days out for delivery, so we waited 2 weeks and still heard nothing. After calling multiple times for a few days, we finally received a call back from a BLOCKED number and it was his wife telling us that the 1st compressor was a dud and they have to order another one and it'll be another 12 days. We told her we just wanted him to put all our original parts back into the fridge and bring it back to us and we will get it fixed by someone else. It took Shane about 3 days to call us back and we reiterated to him to put it back together and bring it back. it took almost another week to get it back and once we did we looked inside and he had put all the parts into the freezer and didn't even put it back together. We had missing screws and couldn't even shut the freezer door because ANOTHER part of the freezer was put back incorrectly AND we had a light fixture inside it that didn't even belong to our fridge. I called Sears to come out and look at it and we were told that certain components of the fridge were exposed and it was irreparable and they couldn't even test the Freon in it cause it could potentially turn it into acid if the Freon had been contaminated prior to it being put in the fridge (in the event that Shane really put it back in) -- So after Shane having our fridge for a month and 3 days it was brought back irreparable and completely taken apart and we didn't even get all of our money back. He seemed like a nice guy at first but screwed us in the end and cost us a new fridge.... and after further review, found out he's on a top "shit list" from a Denver radio station.
