Good Chinese Food!! --And, the ONLY Chinese restaurant I know of anywhere that stays open until 3:00AM (you read that correctly, until 3:00 in-the-morning!!!! ) If you ever have a late-night craving for Chinese food, and ALL the other Chinese restaurants around you have closed long ago, this is the one Chinese restaurant that will be open until 3:00AM!!!! They do an incredible late-night business because of this. They also have some buy-one, get-one free specials through the Uber-eats app, and they do a very good business through that, too....But even just showing up & ordering one dish at-a-time (à la cart) off their menu in-person, their prices are very reasonable & in-line / comparable with most Chinese restaurants--or even slightly better. You can also just Call them & order ahead by telephone--they even encourage this, and then just stop by to pick up your order. It's pretty much exclusively a take-out place. (They have some comfy chairs to sit down while you're waiting for your order, but there are no tables at which to sit down & eat right there.) You may have to double-park briefly with your hazard lights flashing, Lol....it's not a bad area, but just crowded (not crowded with pedestrians; crowded as far as parked cars), with almost all the parking spots on both sides of the road taken. Occasionally you may luck out & find an empty curbside parking spot, but it's pretty rare. Most of their customers, as well as Uber delivery drivers, just briefly double-park with hazard lights flashing, run in & pay, pick up their order & go. It's honestly pretty quick & seamless. This place is your typical Chinese food, American style. Fast, greasy, probably unhealthy, but delicious. In fact, they had some BOGO promos going on and you know what I had to do...I hit those and ate this over 2-3 meals. My order below, both BOGO: 1 - Boneless spare ribs combo with eggroll: the fried rice is delicious but the spare ribs can be better...a bit tough to chew. The eggroll was on point! Will be switching it up next time to get something else that comes with the fried rice. 2 - Fried chicken wings - wow these are bomb. Taste like your typical, cheap Chinese fried chicken wings so can't go wrong. Overall, this place sounds like heaven if I was wasted with drunchies. I only get delivery from here, but it has never disappointed. Delivery always on time and 98% of the time everything is correct. I've never disliked what I've eaten and honestly think the wonton soup is superior to any I've had in my life. After being on the west coast for 7 months, the first wonton I put in my mouth made me feel happy and I almost shed a tear honestly. I know it sounds weird to cry over a wonton but when you've been in LA for 7 months and had to eat Chinese food there you will understand! Food's mostly fantastic (except for the spaghetti/lomein swap) but the service... Took advantage of the uber eats bogo, asked for the rice to be packed apart from the meat...like instead of 2 containers of half meat/half rice, do one container of just meat and one container of rice. Same quantities, different configuration. Response I got was "we don't do that, if I pack it like that I have to charge more." Is that really the hill you wanna die on my guy? Alright, whatever, just put the food in the bag. Is it gonna stop me from ordering again? Absolutely not. I ordered from Uber Eats a previous time. And it was ok so I did not leave a even though the boneless spare ribs. I have to say now to stay away because I ordered chicken lo mein and it is chicken with spaghetti.I called them and they said that's what they use. They got butt hurt because of their own "buy 1 get 1 free" promo.. from ubereats It's not like the chicken wings are big because they're not its small compared to the other normal Chinese chicken wing in different restaurant, Shanghai's version is just cut in half. Any other Chinese restaurant has the wing and thigh together. Anyways they got butt hurt over people ordering a lot of their 7 pcs wing since its a buy 1 get 1 free and they have completely removed it and increased the price to $9.50 when it was $7.50 before. Admittedly, I order from here fairly regularly and the food is very very good. But, they screw up my orders on a regular basis. Probably about 50% of the time they forget items or flat out just don't send everything. And calling is useless because they just dont care I keep ordering because uber refunds my money and the food I do get is usually good. Order at your own risk read more

Cold rainy Saturday. Chinese is the perfect go to meal. We wanted to try out a new spot so found Shanghai II on DoorDash. Food was solid. The steamed dumplings are huge in size but overall I thought they were just okay. Got both chicken & broccoli combo and General Tso combo. Both were $12-13 and came with pork fried rice and an egg roll. My favorite was the Singapore Chow Mei Fun. Noodles not too soggy or chewy, not too saucy or dry, and has a good mix of protein stirred in. This was my favorite of what we ordered and I'd get it again. Overall, we're happy we chose this spot and we'll be adding it to our Chinese delivery rotation. read more

I ordered from this restaurant and.... This place was not it. I ordered chicken mei fun and an order of wings and fries. The mei fun was actually tasty But the wings and fries were a no go for me. We ordered General Tso's chicken, shrimp and broccoli and chicken & broccoli and it was all very good and cooked well. It tasted fresh and not too greasy. So good. Their combos are so well priced and you get SO much food. I ordered the chicken lo mein combo and the general tso's chicken combo, they come with pork fried rice and an egg roll by default. I ordered brown rice with the general tso's and vegetable fried rice with the lo mein, and everything was perfectly accommodated. Super garlicky and flavorful in a great way, hot and fresh. Your classic new york/new jersey style chinese food takeout joint. All the typical choices & the bonus perk: they're open later than most in the area! Have ordered chicken & broccoli takeout from here multiple times and it solves my chinese food craving each time. I personally dont find the food from this place to be greasy, however I'm not sure what food places outside of the area are like, so if you aren't familiar than maybe you'd have that opinion. The eggrolls here are a little dry and dont have a ton of flavor, but that is my only real complaint.
