Sorry for the gross picture. I wish I had seen reviews of this place before booking. There was a middle aged tech who upsold a pedi (I asked for the basic gel pedi and she went ahead and did the upgraded one anyway). She was SLOW, but also sloppy! The gel is uneven as you can see on the cuticle of the 4th toe. Then for some reason, she decided to use a dremel to clean up her mess. It cut into me and left a bloody mess. They finally were trying to attend to us after they saw us picking up our stuff to leave. I had a good pedicure here so thought I'd try it for a gel manicure before traveling. I walked in to make my appt and to make sure they would not use a dremel on my cuticles, as I've been growing out dremel damage for 4 months. Tech proceeded to use the dremel - even after I asked her not to. She worked so fast and carelessly that my entire gel manicure was finished in 25 minutes! Because she was careless, she had to put three coats of polish on my right hand to cover up the "bumps" (her words) causing one hand to look different than the two coats on my left. I haven't found my new place yet! read more

Absolute worst experience. My friend told me about Shangra La and that I should request for Nhi. I called to set up an appointment since I wanted a particular nail technician with Nhi because she is known to do a good job. But unfortunately I wasn't set up with my technician. Which is fine. I went to the Edmond location btw. NOT YUKON. I was getting my nails done for a trip to Vegas. I wanted a long coffin shape nail with glitter on it. She said it would be a $10 up charge for the glitter. I thought it was going to be something very nice since they were charging me extra for it just to find out that it was just regular glitter nail polish she is using on me. As she was doing my nails, I realized that she misunderstood me and thought I was something similar to French nail glitter tips but I actually wanted a gradient so I asked her to bring it down some. She brought it down a tiny bit. Not enough. So I asked her to bring it down some more. She was extremely careless with my nails and even left a blob of acrylic material on the side of my nail that she did not clean up (see in picture). I texted my friend afterwards to ask if Nhi is an older lady and she said no. It should've been a younger Vietnamese girl. I understand that I could have stopped and asked the nail technician if I am with the requested technician. But at the same time I should not be held responsible when I even called to make an appointment to request a particular nail tech and signed in stating I requested her as well. I'm still completely annoyed at the fact that she over charged me over 60$ including tip for something that is extremely terrible. Pictures down below. I went in one time to get my acrylic nails removed. The lady who did it proceeded to rip them off with a tool and her own fingernails without soaking them off or anything. It was painful and a horrible experience i was honestly shocked. Never going back, they even had the audacity to charge for it. Maybe if it was done properly. read more

This place is overall really good. The nail tech I got was kind of rough on my nails, but he did a really good job he was really kind. He made sure I like my nails out through the time. The place is really clean. The price is OK for the one that I got the $45. Pretty cheap really cute place workers are really nice. Prices were decent ($35 for a fill with gel.) Went in for a fill . There was a limited selection of gel colors. I was nicked on my pinky with the drill (picture two days later). Normally when I get gel other places I at least get lotion and a massage- didn't get either. I was given lots of cuticle oil and told to go wash my hands then pay. Later that day my acrylic chipped off along with the gel. read more

My daughter and I came here for a special treat. I will tell you we received exactly what we came for! First off, let me start with the pedicure chairs... To.Die.For. They are brand new and pretty darn amazing. Next, the ladies that did our pedicures did an incredible job. I felt not only relaxed but they were very professional and thorough. We also got manicures. My daughters technician was careful to ask questions of how she wanted her nails shaped. My technician didn't and I ended up with a square shape. The paint job was very nice and the shaping wasn't a huge issue. I'll make sure to pay closer attention and speak up next time. Overall the decor was relaxing, the pedi chairs spectacular and a very beautiful job on the mani pedi. I will go back again & I would highly recommend. read more

I am very happy with the dip manicure I got. We walked in and were seated immediately. The salon is clean and well maintained. I liked that they used a liner in the pedicure tubs, rather than just draining and refilling them between clients. The shoulder massage I got left much to be desired, but it was just a bonus and not something I paid extra for. read more

Christy does an AMAZING job w pink & white sets, & can be super fast, in case you are in a hurry? They have every color in the world, & in gel too! You get a fabulous shoulder massage while your nails are drying; at least 10 minutes! My pedicure was better than any I've ever had at any 5-Star Resort; and the massage chairs are so cushy & fabulous, you might fall asleep?! There De'cor reminds me of something you would see in a very nice resort. Large TV screens on the walls, & they bring all their customers a small container w a bottled water, a small bag of snack mix & a cold can of soda. They always have extra goodies at the front too! One of the nail techs named Emily was the main one who was rude. AS we were getting our service they were talking bad about us because of the request we made. I use to work in the beauty industry and it is very common that women ask for another woman to provide the service vs a man. She thought we didn't understand Vietnamese. She was saying so much that it was so uncomfortable. Save yourself money and a bad experience and go somewhere else. They didn't apologize and even when I told the manager she didn't even say anything. Very unprofessional! Oh and as far as the pedicure itself. It was horrible. They couldn't even file straight. The actual service was okay. I got a pedicure and a manicure and compared to other places it was average, definitely have had better. The reason I'm giving two stars is just the attitude and lack of accommodation I got. Zero conversation, no offer of a water, just seemed like doing my nails was an annoyance. Also while I was getting my pedicure I asked for warmer water never got it and my chair was so scooted up I was uncomfortable the entire time but when I tried to move it she seemed annoyed so I just left it alone. I felt this place should have better reviews and the interior is very nicely decorated and the employees are SO nice! Not sure why this place doesn't have higher ratings. I had a wonderful experience today with Mary. I got the Anti-aging pedicure which was lovely - scrub, rub, scrape, foot massage, hot stones plus hot wrap on my neck, all while enjoying the massage chair. Then, the gel manicure and hand wax. Mary did a phenomenal job on my cuticles, which were a hot mess, and the gel polish is perfect. She even suggested a slightly different shade of polish which I am thrilled with. I've been going here for a couple of years and it's hit or miss. I've gotten amazing sets and pedicures but the last couple times I've done gel mani/pedi and they've been awful. I had broken the nail on my big toe, he did a great job trimming the nail and making it look decent again. I broke it down pretty low, ouch!! The last 2 times I've been here the same lady did a BAD job, so bad it gave me fungus under my dips fingernails the first time, because my nails weren't cleaned properly and dirty tools were used! This time I was treated rudely and REFUSED my request when I asked for a different person to do my nails! (I guess that's what I get for tipping too much the time before?!?) When I asked for help with the fungus, she literally filed my nails completely through to my nail beds! I usually come in with crazy designs and she always does them as well as or better than the pictures! Did i mention you always get free refreshments every visit??! I was lucky enough to get a gift certificate here from my room mate, I had been talking about trying it out long enough that I guess I made it easy for him to get me something for Christmas. Upon walking in I was immediately greeted. The staff was very friendly and I felt really comfortable walking in. I was put with Jade and they didn't trade me around to different workers throughout, Jade was my nail tech the entire time, which was nice. I got a pedicure, a shelac manicure and my eyebrows waxed. Let me just say the pedicure was amazing. Jade took her time with the pedicure and the massage chairs are brand new and absolutely amazing. They have TV's on all the walls and a snack basket with a soda, snack and water for each patron. I then got my nails done and I got the shelac, Jade did such an amazing job and even gave me a shoulder massage while my nails were under the UV light hardening. I also got a paraffin wax dip which was amazing, and while that was on my hands I got my eyebrows done. I will say that she did such an amazing job. I had gone to european wax before and it costed me $20 and at Shangri La it was less than that and she did a more thorough job. Over all my experience here was amazing, I have been recommending it to all my friends in the area. I can't wait to go back and this place is definitely going to be my new place! read more

Best nail salon in OKC/ Edmond metro area!! Super clean, beautiful space. Everyone is so kind and helpful. They give you snacks and drinks and candy with your service. I have never felt rushed like I have in other nail salons. If you want something out of the ordinary, they never make it seem like they don't have enough time. I am a licensed cosmetologist & EXTREMELY picky. I have walked out of several nail salons because the space wasn't clean or the techs were rude. Im so happy to have found this salon. I recommend them to everyone i know & have several friends from OKC who now drive up to Edmond just to get their nails done here. Also, the prices are great!
