And they were the yellow ones! The price beneath where they were located said $2.79! When I rang them up, $5.79!! I called an associate over & it was the same person from earlier! She saw the price of $2.79 under where they were located. Called over the manager on duty, Gavin. Gavin looked completely aggravated & disinterested that he had to deal with someone. Gavin told me that the price is $5.79 & the the red cherries are 2.79. I explained about the pricing LAWS in Ct, where as it is Not the consumers responsibility to make sure prices are correct. I would've been happy paying the 2.79 but the LAW states that I should get it free of charge. Gavin asked me if I wanted them, when I said "only at the price listed" Gavin grabbed the cherries from in front of me & tried walking away. I asked for the store number, & his district managers name. He gave me the the store number & refused to give me the district managers name! Guess what Gavin! I called the Aldi customer service number & now your District Manager knows! You are RUDE, Unprofessional, & should NOT be working around others in a public setting! I tried it out and discovered high quality vitamins at great prices, especially if you signed on as a member. It cost nothing to join, so I got a membership card and coupons and specials on a postcard or pamphlet in the mail. Shelly, the manager, is usually there when I come in and is always very helpful and informative on the stock and helps me to get the best deals. I came in today and was greeted by her and another associate. The associate asked what I was looking for and took me right to where I could find it and explained the specials. He let me peruse the store without being overly aggressive and bothersome like some places are. He told me that if I needed anything to let him know. I continued my shopping and put my items on the counter and let him know I was still browsing for more. He held my stuff for me behind the register until I was done. I presented my membership card and coupons and was promptly rang up. One of the items was a BOGO(buy one get one), so he went over to the shelf and grabbed another one for me. Thank you Shelly and Rich for another great experience! Luckily it isn't usually busy when I come in and they can hold things behind the register, but I think that it would be a good idea to have baskets to carry your items while you browse
