Hubs stayed in the car while I picked up our pickup order and was greeted immediately by the young girl running the counter who was very nice and great at multi tasking as she was packing my order and holding a conversation with me. I had asked if they had samples as my hubs wasn't sure if the lemon cake would be good or not. Which, if you're a lemon flavored dessert lover, you know lemon flavored stuff can be hit or miss. Either too little flavor or way too much. The young lady let me know that they don't do samples, which I was perfectly fine with and understood and right as I was saying so, in walked the male manager or owner who asked if I had ordered one. Told him I did not and explained about the hubs wanting to try but understood that they didn't do that. This incredibly nice man, gave me a lemon cake mini for my hubs to try (which it was quite delicious as I took a small bite) and the hubs enjoyed it thoroughly. It's great customer service like this from both the young woman and the older gentleman that keeps customers coming back, even when this customer lives in Arlington so this is NOT my closest location lol, but will definitely be THE location I choose to go too. I triple checked their closing time on google, and it said 11:00. We went to a different location first. My husband and I pull up at 10:12 to see all the lights out and a young man walking to his car. To say I'm aggravated is an understatement, because it was no where near closing time, and's on top of that, I won't be able to get this particular cookie for a while. I could blame myself if I got there right at closing, but 10:12???! To make things worse, we drive to this location, and THEY had just closed. I went on a Sunday morning at about 8am and when you walk in and the smell of donuts hits you in the face - you know you've found the good spot. I was immediately greeted and was able to choose my donuts. I was able to get as many as I wanted and I chose six. When I got back to my husband with these donuts in hand - he said these were the best donuts he's had. They were light and fluffy and this shop knows what they are doing. Long story short, my chocolate old fashioned donut was the hardest, greasiest donut I've ever had. I took two bites (actually a bite and a half) and threw it away, and stopped by M on my way home (literally on my way home, as I had to drive past it on my way to Park.) I'm sure Park is legit, by all indications from other reviews, but if you are looking for a solid old fashioned donut you should go elsewhere (unless I just got a bad batch, but I will never know.) One star for the donut, and 3-4 stars for the sausage rolls (they're donut shop sausage rolls.)
