The spot itself isn't large, but they have more than enough equipment to work every muscle and to keep things interesting; Kettle bells, free weighs, benches, cardio machines, rowers, battle ropes, ladder climber thingie, rope puller thingie... you get the point. It's all here. The trainers don't overwork you, they find your comfort level and then take you from there. I've had two different trainers and both are really friendly, even when you want to run out of the gym and buy a cheeseburger from anyone willing to sell it to you. Bonus points for eucalyptus towels and a water machine. You literally don't have to bring anything but yourself here. There are great deals to be found on the discount websites, but I would suggest calling up and asking about their deals instead. Most of the time they will honor whatever coupon is out there and you don't have to go through a third party middle man. Personal training... do it!

The prices for the training packages can't be beat - you pay for the trainer, but you can come in and use the cardio equipment any day of the week as well! So it basically becomes your personal gym as well. I have recommended this place to so many friends and family. If you're looking to invest in your health, this is the place to do it!

Lots of people just stand around posing in mirrors and setting up cameras to record themselves. Some guys are recording girls for their OnlyFans or whatever they're doing. It's crowded at night, so getting on machines can take a while. The bathroom is filthy and the locker room often smells like weed. Parking can be terrible. The place is just a disappointment. You get what you pay for.

I love how during the spin class we got off the bikes and went into the studio to add on some exercises with body poles to do crunches and various movements to get a total, full body workout. Even better is the crunches and push ups that were integrated. The music is awesome, and I was encouraged to sing along, which if you really know me, makes me a happy camper. I will definitely be going back and am really looking forward to trying out some of the Zumba classes because I LOVE to dance! Nothing like upbeat, friendly, positive instructors to make it so much more enjoyable!

No line for the equipment, plenty of dumbbells available for this dumbbell at all times, proactive maintenance staff who keep the showers, sauna, toilets and the workout floor clean and stocked; nice layout with a quiet room with loads of mats to do stretching, yoga poses( 2 seconds for me) and ab work, a nice tricep pull-down area and a basketball court. No racquetball but Farmingdale is just a few minutes east. Love that the juice bar has added protein pre made meals in their freezer with a microwave for immediate consumption. The sauna is always hot. I get to this location maybe 3 or 4 times a year. I have to mention the wonderful Gabriel who opened the gym in the snowstorm at 7 am sharp. He was happy and welcoming as the rush came in. Thank you LAF for being open today. Now it's foodie fun time as the NFL Championship games are just a few hours away.

I have been a member here for a few years and my experience has been generally very good. The loud…read moremusic is annoying, but my earbuds camouflage most it. However, a recent phenomenon is more than annoying. Several members monopolize multiple machines simultaneously, leaving their equipment on each while they switch from one to the other. For example, one member routinely switches back and forth between lat pullover, chest press and the Pec-Deck leaving his belongings on the unused machines. In another case, two young ladies set up all their equipment at the Smith machine then leave for long periods as they use other equipment. This would be a minor annoyance, except for the fact that there are only three Smiths and one Pec-Deck. It is not my responsibility to confront these members, but it it inconsiderate in the extreme. I truly enjoy working out at Planet Fitness, but the behavior of these few members is becoming infuriating.

I'm very exercise averse and generally self conscious at the gym because I don't typically know what I'm doing. Orange Theory has removed most of those hang ups for me. I've gone a few times during the pandemic after they were allowed to open and have felt very safe and protected from virus concerns. We wait outside to be let in before class begins. We have to stand 6 feet apart and everyone is at alternating equipment. I've bought several people with me to experience the workout and they all Iove it. They don't necessarily live the price, but a few have been willing to make the financial sacrifice.
