The HIIT cardio warm-up is intense, but it definitely sets you up for the bag work to come later! Wish they had drop in classes, but I understand why they don't if members want to hit their goals. The other members were nice and encouraging as well. Definitely recommend this gym! everything was nice and spacious; bathroom and women's locker room were well maintained. Since I had to put my membership on hold, I had a lot of email communications with that location that documented an extension on my membership. Then when COVID happened the Bellmore location closed down for good. I was told that I would be able to go to any location I want when the gyms reopen and was given an email to reach out to. No one has gotten back to me at all. I should still have had 3 months left to use of my membership. (In addition to my experience, my boyfriends sister was apart of the Franklin Square location and they also closed!!)

The classes start off with warm up which is meant to get your heart rate up. You can go at your own pace. Then the real fun starts as you start punching and kicking the bag to your heart's content. Music pumps you on throughout. It has the energized feel of a spin class but folks of all ages are participating. I also like that they keep the place clean. Wiping down equipment 2x a day and airing it out by propping the door open. The bathroom/showers are also maintained and the ladies shower has amenities such as shampoo/conditioner and body wash. I am looking forward to my next class!h

I take a lot of Bootcamp / boxing classes at other gyms, and this class was nice and challenging. Don't be fooled by the light weights! Lots of repetition equals crazy burn. I'm excited to go back for my other two classes and will likely buy a bulk class pack. They never expire, which is really nice and convenient. UPDATE: I've also now done kickboxing and Insanity (once both in a row). Insanity is super challenging but you can still go at your own pace. The kickboxing class was great (I've done lots) and you can get one on one help when/if you need it. I normally do regular boxing, so I needed extra help with my kicks. Bought a 10 pack for $120. Great deal!

However, I decided to not become a full time member for a few reasons.. 1, when you buy classes or a groupon, there is a limited amount of time you can use your classes before they expire. If you don't use all the classes you purchased, you lose them. 2, you have to sign up at least 1/2 hour before class & if you cancel within that time frame, they will charge you for a late cancel. 3, I signed up for a few classes, & a half hour before class, I was told I was the only one who signed up and there wouldn't be a class. I have 2 small children so it is difficult for me to sign up ahead of time, get a babysitter, & then have class cancelled and I wind up not going at all. This is an amazing workout however in a positive atmosphere! If the above 3 don't really bother you then you should definitely go esp because it's much cheaper than many other places.

This means that they studio cannot be open during the Sabath (I.e. Friday evenings and all day Saturday). In addition, they also cannot hold class during the Jewish holidays.
