I use to have such, amazing thick hair. Then I got dx with a thyroid dz. Which, if you do not know, can make your hair thin. However, I went today, and Maria was AMAZING! She made me feel so comfy, understood my hair (it is also wavy to curly on its own), and didn't shame me for having thin hair, due to my thyroid. I had hair to my rib cage, now it is to my shoulders. It feels so light, free, and the curls are major! It is super cute, even my husband loved it, and he like long hair! It is so easy to care for, looks, and feels so healthy! THANK YOU MARIA! Our hair stylist, Trish, was friendly, patient and quick - everything you want from the person cutting your child's hair! Our almost two year old played musical "vehicles" since instead of chairs, they have fun cars for the kids to sit in. Once he finally settled on the fire truck, she asked us if TV would work so we turned on his favorite show. I really appreciated how she walked not only the parents through what she was doing, but also my son so he was never surprised. "I'm the comb with water now" and letting him feel the buzz before she worked on his neck. At the end he got a balloon and was so happy. He didn't cry once, if he started to fidget, she just worked faster while maintaining her on quality check. She has no problems with us combing through and asking that a few missed pieces be touched up. Great experience overall. So glad Sharkey's opened here!

I called back and spoke to the receptionist, she told me that they were overbooked but someone canceled so her appointment was fine. There is a lot of confusion at this location, your expectations may be high or based on the website hype to be disappointed for your child or grandchild. Great employees means great business! I've been coming here because I have a good friend that does my hair here. She is the best! When I'm with her the other employees come and talk, it's like you're at a table with friends. It's very welcoming and friendly. But from the previous reviews, I would agree on what they have to say about customer service. When I initially walked into the store, the lady at the front hardly acknowledged me and kept her head down majority of the time. The other employee working kept acting weird and the check out location was on the other side of the shop. The place is a little complicated to understand what exactly it is. From outside, you would only think it is clothes. When you walk in, on the left side of the door is where hair would be cute and the right side is full of clothes. There's an entrance towards the back you can walk into where there is a place for kids to play.
