    30 Piece Chicken Wings

So we grabbed a tray of about 30 wings for a small kids birthday party - not sure if the establishment has new owners but this is not the same Shark's that we are use to! The food was hot AND it tasted great - we are very impressed! Thank you!

This isn't hyperbole. This door doesn't simply close -- it announces itself with the fury of creation. It's a blast so thunderous it could part clouds. When I tried to shut it, the resulting sound wave nearly knocked the sauce cups off the counter. My grandpa, who's lived through enough history to be unshakable, heard it and went pale -- said it sounded like "the sky itself falling." The entire restaurant froze. Fry cooks paused. Toasts trembled. For a full five seconds, everyone in that Cane's shared a single, reverent silence. And that's when it hit me: this door is not just loud -- it's holy. It deserves pilgrims. People travel the world to see the Grand Canyon, to visit the pyramids, to circle the Kaaba in Mecca. But one day, I believe they'll come to DeKalb -- not for the chicken tenders (though they are solid) -- but to experience The Door. To stand before it in awe. To hear its unearthly thunder and whisper, "I was here." You don't visit this Raising Cane's. You make a pilgrimage to it. You bring your friends, your family, your earplugs. You witness something primal and transcendent -- a door that humbles all who hear it. Five stars. A divine experience in fast-food form. Come for the chicken, stay for the revelation.

We had been trying to get dinner at this place for a while, but carry out isn't something we can do without some planning. Fortunately, fate intervened, and we were able to plan for me to pick up two 4 piece dinners, and get it home on a cold, winter day. My wife called in the order ahead of time, asking for it to be ready by a specific time. My order was ready, right on time. A four piece dinner is comprised of two pieces of white meat, and two of dark, along with a good portion of fries, a vinegar based cole slaw, and a nice biscuit with a home-made honey-butter that made it taste really good. The chicken is hand-breaded for each order. The cole slaw is made fresh. The fries are made fresh. The honey butter is made fresh. FRESH. I know, what an odd concept in fast food where they mostly take pre-made stuff out of the freezer and put it into the fryer. This is real fried chicken. The sizes of the bird pieces are average (not Wal-Mart "average" which isn't average, but REAL chicken average), and were more than enough to make sure we weren't hungry afterwards. Some tips: 1. Turn the corner if headed eastbound, and park in the lot east of Lothson's. 2. The hours are the hours. This is a one woman shop, and they open for Dinner at 4:30 pm with the LAST ORDER taken at 7:00 pm. 3. Get there a few minutes ahead of schedule to pick up your order. 4. To avoid waiting too much, call in your order if you can. For "to go" dishes on a cold night like this was, the owner put a plate on top and napkins in the bag, and then stapled the bag shut. 30 minutes later after driving in my car home, the chicken and fries were still nice and hot. You want it hotter, put them in a cooler with no ice to better trap the heat. If you are local, you won't need to do this.

We sat at the outdoor patio bar where they had two screens playing sports games. We started with a John Daley & Huskie Punch. The punch tasted similar to a painkiller which is tropical and fruity. I loved the flavor of the sauce and the medium order came as quite a big portion. They were very crispy and well breaded. My husband got The Fat Boy burger with a side of their famous Cajun Fried Potato Salad and Baked Beans. The burger was juicy and flavorful. The potato salad wasn't too spicy but tasted delicious. Outdoor seating as well as indoor seating was available, seat yourself style. We sat inside. The noise level was not loud at all. Perfect for table conversations. The menu had too many tasty sounding items. I chose the Fatty Melt with the Cajun Fried Potato Salad and Coleslaw. My wife had the Chicken Club Wrap with Onion rings and Beans (for me). The little had the 2 mini sliders with fries. Being family we share the sides and the onion rings were a hit. The number one treat in my book was the Cajun Fried Potato Salad. The bean had a good smoky flavor to them. Last but not least our server should get top billing in the review. Jordan did a fantastic job accommodating our requests and took the time to answer questions without feeling rushed. She made us feel more like a friend than a patron. Hats off to you Jorden!
