Visited Sharky's on Brookside this past Saturday night and unfortunately, the experience started off on the wrong foot. The door girl was rude and spoke to my group with an unnecessary attitude, seemingly just because we were younger. She questioned our valid IDs in a way that felt disrespectful and accusatory, which really set a negative tone before we even got inside. Once we made it in, we approached the front bar where a bartender--who I believe was named Michael based on what others were calling him--completely ignored our group. Instead of acknowledging us, he chose to carry on conversations with others and eventually left the bar altogether without saying a word. Thankfully, we decided to try the back bar, and that completely turned things around. The bartender in the back was wonderful--super attentive, friendly, and helped us pick the best drink options for our group. Her professionalism and great service are what made us decide to stay. However, one final issue stood out: after sitting in the back area for about 20 minutes, we saw the same front bartender, Michael, exit an employees-only room, and as he opened the door, a strong smell of smoke filled the air. It was unpleasant and surprising, especially since we thought Sharky's was a non-smoking establishment. Overall, the night had its ups and downs. Big shoutout to the back bar staff for turning our experience around, but the unprofessionalism at the front definitely left a bad impression. read more

Beware going here. They charge you extra to "make sure you have money in your account" it apparently gets returned, which has yet to be seen. I'm trying to understand the logic of making sure someone has money in their account by charging them extra... not only did we get the "find out if you have money" fee once we got the fee twice equaling $100 on top of the tab....The bar should really alert people of this prior to running their cards. Luckily I'm not pinching pennies to make payments on bills, thinking I'm only spending $70 when $100 gets added onto that which will allegedly be returned at some unknown date. This is totally unacceptable and I have never heard or seen of any other establishment practicing this. read more

The bartenders were great but the other people walking around were so incredibly rude. First they told me my ID was fake, it's not, I'm 22. They gave me a bitchy look when I told them it wasn't fake but they let me in anyway. Then a drunk woman walked by and ran into a table knocking all of our drinks on the floor, the worker walked by and said "ya just watch it spill. Real mature, fucking bitch ass children." Bartender poured me the wrong whiskey and he proceeded to have an attitude with me after I politely said hey that's not what I ordered. I recommend going to the back bar. Bartenders at the back bar were way more friendly and didn't give me hell about asking for Pepsi instead of coke with my crown. read more

Sharky's is a traditional pool hall with a bar. It was clean and the tables were in good shape. One point that was that no table had a bridge for shooting long shots. The ambiance was ok for an individual but not a family. While we were there, there were a large noisy group of drunk shooters in corner. Parking available was limited and would not accommodate a full capacity crowd. The experience was acceptable for a bar with pool tables but not for families. read more

I'm giving this a high rating because of how management handled a group of men that were sexually harassing my friends and I. Thank you Perry and the man working the door for getting those guys to leave us alone. They handled and de-escalated situation accordingly. They even got my friend a new drink after one of the guys started drinking from it. A place is telling with how they handle obnoxious guys and they did well. Which is why I am giving them this rating. All in all, this is a nice pool bar to grab a drink, shoot some pool and hang out with your friends! Ladies, stay safe and look out for each other! last night I was denied entry because I had my service animal with me. I am a protected individual under the ADA act " Americans with disability Act. It was very hot last night and I came into the Bar for a drink and for some water for my Service animal. I am a TBI victim, shaken baby syndrome , abused until I was 11 years old. my daughter dropped her wallet in the bathroom. she called the next day and they said that they had it and she would be invoiced for damages to get it back. I am her father and we went to the bar and spoke with the bartender who said he was the manager and that the wallet wasn't there. I have it on video that he would not tell us what was damaged, then he said it was a seat in the bathroom, which he later stated that he didn't say although I have it on video. Seriously? I have not reviewed Sharky's? That is ridiculous because this place is awesome. I come here on average about once a week. What can I say, I love pool and this is the place to do it. Sharky's is a smoking bar, so keep that in mind. They have a bar area with bar seating and pub tables. There are a few arcade like games and TVs all around the bar, including the pool tables. There is also a separate bar in the back that is usually open with the same bar seating and pub tables. There is also darts. They have a Walking Dead viewing every week if you're interested in that too. Pool is $10 an hour so if you're a slow player, it may be cheaper to go somewhere you can pay per game. The environment at Sharky's is worth it though. You get your balls at the bar and leave an ID, you've got a bar tender that comes around and will take drink orders or you can order at the bar. They're open typical bar hours and on Sundays it's service night so if you're in the service industry at all, it's FREE!! I'm sure I'll see ya there. Cheers. read more

Fun spot and lots to do. VERY popular on the weekends so expect to be on a wait list for the pool tables especially. We come here for the shuffleboard, which are super fun and If you have never shuffleboard-ed you should for sure come here and try. BEWARE: this place has inside smoking so if you don't want to leave with your clothes smelling like smoke I would avoid. This is a great place for pool/billiards on Brookside. The service is ok, front bar kind of slow, but they do offer waitress staff to help out around the place. The room in the back has live music and darts, but it can get pretty stuffy and humid in there. It's a decent place to chill with a few people. They sometimes have live music. read more

Cool place, not as stuffy (or expensive) as some of the other places on brookside. They have plenty of pool tables, shuffleboard, two full bars (one open only on the weekends) karaoke...great jukebox...hmm..Oh, I love the bartenders. This is also a great place to hang out in the afternoon with the regulars, play trivia, cheap (or free) pool, and play trivia. I have to agree with the other reviewer that this place is a little worn, but that comes from being around forever. I visited sharkys on a Saturday with a couple of my friends. We say at the bar an never received a greeting from any of the bartenders... maybe they thought we were sitting there and didn't want to order drinks. Finally I was able to get one of the bartenders attention and after he took our drink order he greeted other people (so they can greet) and finally handed us our drinks. That was the worst service I received and I won't be back and I will make sure to tell everyone. Not welcoming at all. read more

This pool hall/bar has been a favorite of mine since I moved to T-town a few years ago. The drinks are reasonably priced & stout. The crowds are generally friendly & the jukebox is always going. The only reason I give 3 stars is because I didn't make it in for a few weeks & all of the staff I knew left/got fired. They were awesome! Nice prices and plenty of things to do at Sharky's. The pool tables are well maintained and it's a clean environment.

Not a fun place..same as all the others..nothing unique just a bar with bar toys..there are much better places on brookside to see
