I recently purchased the most beautiful pair of gold/diamond scatter hoop earrings (after dreaming about them since Christmas!) and love them so so much! I get compliments every time I wear them. I walked into Sharla's to purchase foundation. They have top of the line cosmetics and skin care products. Once I told the ladies what I needed, Reed introduced herself. She is a licensed esthetician and extremely knowledgeable. I explained my skin issues, rosacea being the main problem, but there are others. Reed walked me through what she considered to be the products that would be most helpful. I purchased what she recommended and was blown away by the results from the very first use. Truly, I could not believe my complexion! I contacted Reed and asked if she thought a facial would be an additional improvement; to kind of give me a boost for an upcoming trip. She suggested a plan and we scheduled it. I was very nervous because my skin is so sensitive. Ladies, I don't know why it took me so long to do this! The change is dramatic. Best kept secret is their facial and aesthetician services! I have had many facials before but nothing compares to the amazing treatment I got from Reed. It was SO much more than a facial it was like a spiritual experience. She started with a foot soak and rub, then included so many relaxing techniques including aromatherapy and deep breathing. She used an amazing mix of products- both Sharla's brands and others. Everything used was super high end and high quality (even the bed is from Italy!). I was so relaxed I could barely move at the end. There was absolutely no pressure to purchase any products (although at the end I wanted to buy everything!). Reed is so amazing, sweet and talented. This is a beautiful store, but everything is expensive, with little to no options for smaller budgets. The longtime sales ladies left a few years ago and it hasn't been the same since. I find the sales style on the cool side and not nearly as warm, sincere and friendly as they once were. It all starts at the top, though, so it's obviously how the owner prefers it to be. read more

Sharla's is not just a cosmetics shop, but a gift shop with unique and beautiful gifts. Located in downtown McKinney, I have always hesitated to visit because of the glitter bomb covering the window displays (not a fan to glitter), but I was wrong. My favorite gift (and for myself) is Sharla's line of Dots & Dash handmade jewelry where Bible verses and other sayings are made out of beads in morse code. There is something here for everyone, even for the hard to find gift. read more

Best. Store. Ever. I like Sharla's signature line. I have really sensative skin which makes anything from the drug store, Sephora or Ulta really dry and irritate my face. The 12hr oasis cream is a God-send for me since even in the summer I get dry skin that tends to pull, crack, and itch. The cell renewal serum helps heal just about anything you could have on your face (GREAT for sunburns, eczema, and breakouts after they open). There are things in there that are priced low enough for anybody as well as luxury items for a special gift or guilty splurge. You just have to look about and see everything. Sharla's store is very well decorated , bright and clean. They have so many different trinkets and beauty products. They have a wide variety of jewelry which I've never heard of but I did get my hands on some Kendra Scott jewelry. Prices were reasonable. There are high end beauty products from Europe too. The boutique is very nice , pretty and European looking. Very good taste in products. My only complaint is the salesmanship it's not always my best friend, I give in way to much. She's nice and a GREAT salesperson, staff trained similarly. I avoid Neiman Marcus or other high end stores for that reason and do my shopping online. I was forced(kinda) to buy her skincare, which she claims is second to none. Haven't tried it yet...I'm writing here bc my first experience and walking out with 300 something worth stuff impulsively, and then find out there is no return policy only exchange and store credit! Of course I didn't ask during the sale...I'm too gullible. I have used Sharla's products since 2005 or 2006. They are amazing! I have EXTREMELY sensitive skin, but her products have prevented any breakouts or rashes since I started using them. Even more importantly, Sharla & her staff treat every customer as if they are family. The customer service is beyond excellent. Not only is her store one of the most beautiful & elegant places on the Historic McKinney Square, it is has a peaceful, joyful spirit that fills the entire store. We have recently been transferred to North Houston, so I am not able to visit like I used to - which makes me very sad. But, as always, Sharlas's staff have continued to take care of me. All I have to do is call & they go out of their way to make sure I have the items that I need as soon as possible. If you get the opportunity to visit Sharla's, please go! Today I wandered into Sharla's while waiting to meet a friend for lunch. I was greeted promptly, and I was given the grand tour of this place. This is a beautiful store filled with beautiful things. I didn't catch the name of the employee who showed me around, but she was friendly and incredibly thorough. No need for botox or fillers if you go to Sharla's...I am highly sensitive to most "potions" and make-up...Sharla's pure ingredients have made my skin healthy, glowing, and I don't know what I'd do without them. There is no way on earth that drug store items are the same quality (have you checked the ingredients in them). Rude and very unprofessional. Was arguing with a young man in front of her own boutique over cones taking a spot. Two other owners came out as well and just started verbally assaulting the young guy over a parking spot(mind you its the middle of the day on a wed. There were plenty of spaces).
