Family dentistry is supposed to be for the entire family, but their care and concern for my daughter was abhorrent. They were late for starters, 9 am appointment and we weren't in the door until 9:10. We weren't the only patients waiting. Thus none of the stations were ready. If they have creature comforts for kids they weren't out and the staff wasn't bringing them out, to the point of they couldn't find the remote for the overhead tvs that help keep the kids distracted. They refused to find the remote so no distraction for my kid. When Alex showed up he had no patience and tried to force his way into her mouth. I asked him to stop so I can console and get my kid to relax but he ignored me ( I would give benefit of the doubt but his assistant heard me and she was further away. I know because when I said stop she pulled back). I had to physically grab his shoulder. No one like touches so I understood his irritation at that but my concern was with my kid. He states that if she can't handle this then he wouldn't be able to go forward with the procedure. I asked for a little more detail so I could talk my kid through the process and it turns out that he was about to perform a procedure that we hadn't confirm!ed The office had messed up the paperwork and put down the wrong thing for the wrong day and person. At this point my irritation level is high so I questioned the professionalism of the establishment. He wasn't happy that I called out the multiple failings of this office that morning and we were asked to leave. I asked the women on staff if I was wrong for protecting my daughter. Why couldn't they take the time to find the remote to distract a little girl from the sounds of drills and suction which can be scary for a kid. They were already late so what's another couple minutes? Why rush my daughter and then get upset because she needed a little reassurance? It's hard sometimes to not believe that our mistreatment wasn't because of our skin tone. In honor of AAPI month I won't say that I will never go to another Asian dentist or doctor again but I know I did the right thing in protecting my daughter from Alex Jhang!! read more

After having a nightmare of an experience with Western Dental, we weren't looking forward to our appointment today... thankfully, we were blessed with the most amazing staff! From the moment we walked in the door, we were greeted with a friendly gal working the front desk. Dr Jhang was patient and knowledgeable... all was fantastic, but our experience with our incredible and compassionate dental assistant LaLa had confirmed that we were where we were supposed to be. Though I previously left a 5 star review at this site, after being a customer of three years I am warning all patients do not come to this location!!! I initially went in for a cavity filling, which later turned into a root canal per Jhiang's suggestion. I got referred to an endo to complete the root canal. Endo I got referred to was actually a general dentists, and could not perform my root canal. I was without any help from the receptionist who suggested and drafted my referral, and forced to find an endo on my own to finish the root canal that was already started!! Again -- i went in for a filling!! It took weeks and I was left in great pain. Now here I am six months later ready to purchase my crown and I've been informed that dr.Jhiang has "dismissed" me as a patient since January 2023. If that was the case, why was I getting texts that I was due for a cleaning? Keep in mind I've had no prior issues with this office except for the receptionist, Berta, who was rude and unhelpful with the referral process. She not only gave me a referral to a location that could not even operate on me, but did not aid in finding any other options. She was extremely rude despite me being in deep pain, and I had to find my own provider to finish the job this location couldn't complete. I was not given an explanation for my dismissal except that I missed two appointments -- I was unaware of this "policy" and I think if this office is going to make patients lose their dental providers, a warning would be nice!! AsDr. Jhiang has been nothing but exceptional, his receptionist Berta makes simple processes difficult, is extremely unhelpful and it's clear her biases have now resulted in me being dismissed by my dentist of three years -- still without my root canal treatment complete!! Wow!! If this is how Dr. jhiang's practice will treat long term patients, as even I've brought my mother to this location to receive cosmetic work done out of pocket! The lack of hospitality, communication and flexibility is ridiculous here. Glad to be gone. At least their receptionists are no longer pocketing cash payments like was occurring in 2021. I stayed through that mess just to be "dismissed" Never even heard of that. Will be finding an alternate site. read more

I've got to say that I wasn't expecting too much from this appointment. But when I got in the office it looked nice and clean. The assistants were very nice. Dr. jhang was very helpful and worked with me to make a plan to serve all my dental needs. read more

Do not go to this dentist; although he is very kind. I left there in so much pain. I was given filings in a tooth that should have been a root canal, which I was told a couple days later from another dentist I went to because I was left in so much pain. Now i have daily pain and sensitive to cold which i never was before. Now I need to find another dentist because I won't go back there but its so hard because i'm very afraid of dentist and this procedure made it that much worse. read more

AMAZING EXPERIENCE. 5/5 Stars! I found Dr Jhang help on Yelp and decided to give him a call to get a second opinion since the other dentist I saw didn't really want to work on my compromised root canal & just referred me out to an endodontist. Dr Jhang diagnosed me right away and asked me if I had any pain & etc. He then gave me a treatment plan right away and gave me the quotes for those options on the spot. Which I appreciated. After I reviewed my options, I got back to him and Erica (the front desk personnel) got me in right away. I called Monday and she was able to get me in Thursday!! Erica is very pleasant and explains everything thoroughly. She also answered all the dumb questions I had!! Which is a plus. Now to the actual work. Dr Jhang cleaned my root canal, put a temporary on and today put on the permanent crown. He did amazing work and has the steadiest hands I've ever experienced. No shaking what so ever. Hes also very pleasant and nice. I really enjoyed my experience there. Anna, the dental assistant was the highlight for me tho. She took care of me and always made sure I understood what was happening. She made me feel straight at home and helped me to calm my nerves!!! Overall, Dr Jhang and his staff are amazing!! I had my first appointment today with Dr. Jhang. To begin, I was greeted by friendly staff in the front. The wait time was very minimal. The RDA was super sweet and attentive escorting me to the room and in doing X-rays. Dr. Jhang was very polite and respectful. He explained to me in detail the importance of habitual oral hygiene practice . I was glad to hear I was cavity free. He showed me my X-rays and photographs of exactly what I have going on in my mouth and teeth. I got a cleaning done and experienced no pain. I felt safe and overall had a great first time experience. Dr. Jhang is an excellent dentist. Every time I visit his dentist office I'm greeted with smiles and warm welcomes from the women at the front desk. Dr. Jhang is very personable and he's also very thorough when going over x-rays of your teeth. He is the first dentist that I've ever gone to that has actually shown me my x-rays and gone over whatever dental procedures may be needed. I don't feel anxious going to the dentist anymore. The dental assistants that I have encountered have also been polite very friendly. read more

Went in for a root canal procedure office equipment is so old that when they did my root canal they left some of the nerve of the root in the tooth which is now still bothering me and have a toothache as well found a good dentist and now I have to take antibiotics because there is an infection do not go to this dentist I would not recommend it even to your pet receptionist very rude. read more

My husband and I both had appointments to see Dr Jhang in November. My experience: I made the appointment in-house. I returned to the appointment and let the billing secretary know I was recently pregnant. She got a huge attitude and outright said we can't see you, you never told me you were pregnant. You need a note from the doctor. I informed her I spent money on a Lyft and needed seen, if there was any way I could have my dr fax it over, or if the dr could see me to work things out. She copped a bigger attitude and refused to help me. I then spent half hour on the phone trying to get a fax. I then went back inside to let her know and she repeated it was my fault I didn't tell her. I looked at her and said I guess you're right, it's all my fault. The other secretary then tried to help me get another appointment, and I told her I felt as if the lady was extremely rude and it was uncalled for. I decided against dental care with this practice. Husbands experience: He went in for major pain and broken teeth and was told that he would be called when the insurance approved him for work. He was not booked an appointment, and we left thinking we would be called. Today (December 2) he calls and asks what happened and the same billing secretary rudely says he was booked and he was given a card and that's their only reminder to patients. He was not given any appointment card at all. He then asks why she was rude to his wife and she starts yelling at him on the phone that she wasn't and her secretary was there and could prove she wasn't mean. He hung up and decided to go back to his other dentist. This woman needs to be reprimanded and or fired. She is extremely mean, rude, and unprofessional. Because of her we weren't even able to see the dentist and give him a proper review. DO NOT GO TO THIS DENTIST IF YOU WANT TO BE TREATED NICELY BY THE FRONT OFFICE STAFF. THEY WILL NOT TREAT YOU WITH DIGNITY OR RESPECT. read more

No one loves going to the dentist, but Dr. Jhang was great. And OMG when he lowered the chair back to check my mouth he had a light cover on the ceiling that looked like a skylight with life-sized dog, cat and a parrot looking down on me with a blue sky and clouds over the fluorescent light cover!!! So fun to take your mind off the drilling!! read more
