Our kids are usually "pooled out" when we get here but they have swam here a couple of times and definitely enjoy the pool area. If they don't want to swim they really enjoy the onsite basketball hoop. We walk to various places to shop and eat from this location, namely Yard House which is right across the street from the hotel. If you're looking for a nice place to stay in the area the Residence Inn at Legends should be your choice!

Some rooms had bugs, 3 rooms had broken beds and pee stained mattresses. 1 was being held together with a plastic bag! The staff said "there's nothing wrong with these rooms" the rooms had black mold in them. They were not willing to compensate for the issues. Due to a big event, we were unable to change hotels otherwise we would of left. You couldn't eat breakfast because gnats were swarming you and your food.

On my first night, I missed the room-service deadline and needed some caffeine to stay up late working on a project. A very sweet person in Guest Services somehow arranged for someone to bring a few Cokes to my room well after 11 p.m. I was so appreciative. I do wish they had vending machines on the guest floors. I wouldn't even mind paying the exorbitant hotel price. I'm a caffeine addict who doesn't drink coffee, so I need my morning soda! I loved Red Wheat Baking Co. downstairs. The sandwiches and hamburgers were excellent, and it was so easy to run in and grab a quick bite. We also ate at The Stilwell, and it was wonderful. Our server recommended a delicious entrée and appetizers that really hit the spot after a long day at the convention. The housekeeping staff was wonderful, the front-desk staff was great, and they were even nice after the second time I lost my room key! Which we needed because there was nothing else to do in the hotel (besides drink at the bar or swim with the rowdy kids on the terrace level ... or whatever that was). I woke up so tired after sleeping in the hot room (turned temp down as far as it would go, and had to kick off all covers) Just awful. When going to bed by 9pm and waking at 7am I should've felt rested and renewed. It was absolutely not my experience, nor my daughters. So there are people congregated all hours of the night outside the french doors that go from the outside of the building to the inside of your room. Worse hotel stay that I've had in years. . There were no closets but there were hanging rods we could easily hang our jackets and clothing if needed. The touch of local chocolate was nice and the postcard was as well. I love getting postcards from where we travel to, a small souvenir that takes little space in your luggage! The bathroom was clean and the shower head felt nice after a long day of gallivanting around town. We ended up just walking to the show that night and it was a pleasant evening to walk back. The next day we checked out just as easily as check in and spent more time around the city. We truly loved our stay here. The bed was incredibly comfortable and we woke up refreshed and knew we'd stay here again! I almost forgot to mention, not only was the inside of the hotel well kept but so was the garden and seating area outside. It's its own peaceful oasis under the trees!

It is important to note that the bar area comes to life on weekend nights (you have to walk by it to get to your room), but kids need to see what adults are like after the sun goes down at some point in their lives. But there is an art display on the ground floor of the hotel, so if your kids cannot resist touching something like that, this might not be the place for you. My boyfriend was one of the groomsmen, so his weekend was already packed. We checked into the hotel on Friday so we could help the bride and groom if needed. When we got to our room, I noticed the door didn't close all the way. I'm usually pretty cautious about hotels and Airbnbs, so I asked the front desk to fix it right away. My boyfriend had to leave for the rehearsal shortly after dropping off our luggage. A maintenance worker came quickly, but after 45 minutes, he removed the metal latch plate on the doorframe so the door would shut. I told him that didn't seem right and completely defeated the purpose of the lock, but he didn't speak English and was using Google Translate. He said it was a temporary fix and that the front desk would assist us later. The door did close, but it felt like anyone could easily break in. Since we had a busy schedule, we left for the rehearsal dinner around 6. After dinner, we returned and asked the front desk whether the door would be properly fixed that night or if we could switch rooms. The front desk agent said they had multiple weddings that weekend, so all rooms were booked and nothing was available. She also said, "Our hotel is very safe, nothing happens." That's not something you want to hear as a guest. If I'm paying for a room, I expect to feel safe, not wonder if I'll be the first to experience a problem, especially since I had multiple expensive camera gear with me. We insisted on having the door fixed before bed, so they sent an "engineer" upstairs. When we explained the issue, he told my boyfriend that the metal piece on the doorframe was just for "aesthetics." At that point, my boyfriend was pissed. He grabbed the room key and a plastic spoon, propped the door open in front of the engineer, and demonstrated the issue. The engineer ended up calling two more maintenance workers and told us to leave for our event while they worked on it. We had to go downstairs for a late-night meet-and-greet, so they stayed to fix the door... again. When we came back around 11:30 PM, someone was still working on it. They reinstalled the metal plate and told me to slam the door hard for it to close. We had to do it multiple times, at midnight, while our neighbors were sleeping. He said it was the best they could do since no other rooms were available. We were exhausted and just went to bed. Saturday morning, the day of the wedding, my boyfriend left at 8 AM for suit fitting and to get ready with the groom. He asked me to check with the front desk, and they said we could switch rooms, but not until around 3 PM (normal check-in time). I reminded them that the wedding would already be happening then, and they apologized for the inconvenience. They sent yet another maintenance worker around 9 AM, this time with a drill, loudly working on the door and frame. I couldn't stay in the room with that noise (video), so I ended up spending time in the groom's suite. It was frustrating to pay for a hotel and barely have any time to relax in the room. There were constantly maintenance workers coming in and out, and I never felt safe being there alone. They finally moved us to a new room at 1 PM, right in the middle of the bridal party photos around the hotel. I couldn't carry all our luggage myself, so my boyfriend had to help me while wearing his groomsman suit. After everything, the hotel never apologized for the inconvenience or offered any kind of compensation. Overall, I'm extremely disappointed with their service. If this had been my wedding weekend, I would not have been this nice..

Hotel is centrally located and walking distance from some of the main bars. Valet was hit or miss, so expect to wait a little longer than usual.
