I really had to share how happy I am with my experience at Sharon's Plants. An avid gardener, I've been to many of the nurseries on the island. Sharon's Plants is my favorite spot - great selection, knowledgeable staff, good prices. I was in a wheelchair from a recent accident, and, in no small amount of pain, and everyone at Sharon's Plants just bent over backwards to help me. Taylor was the person who really stepped up to make my experience exceptional. We were actually going to another nursery and we saw the sign for Sharon's Plants and decided to take a chance and stop by and we are so glad we did. We were a little confused on where to park as we saw some vehicles parked outside but there was a dirt road leading in and didn't know if there was another parking lot inside. We called to ask them and they said to park outside which we did. The walk is short and we were greeted with smiles and asked what we were looking for. We asked about some items and was pointed to the different directions where we could find what we were looking for. They have fruit trees which was one of the things we were looking for. The prices is better than getting them at the big retailers for sure. We got a couple of grafted lemon and lime trees and they had both, ones with thorns and without. We got the ones with as they will serve as a protection against anyone trying to climb our wall and give us some nice fruits. We also got some other plants that the better half wanted for her garden. Overall, they are knowledgeable, friendly, nice selection of plants, and the price is pretty fair. read more

Very pleasant place to choose flowers and shrubbery for your yard They have a nice variety of plants, both sun-loving and shade-loving, and can advise you on the proper care for your choices. We even found a plant that traps flies-a good choice for our lanai to keep away the pesky insects. Miles (along with his dog Theodore) helped us choose some lovely flowering bushes. Jeff also advised us about plant care. The staff are very welcoming and they answered our many questions. We plan to go back again for sure. read more

One of the best nurseries on the island. Large selection and lots of ground to cover. Many of the workers use a golf cart to get around. I've personally purchased a variety of plants from this nursery: lily pads, bougainvillea, pakalana, hibiscus. They have everything. And all the plants I've bought from them are still growing strong today. Staff is incredibly friendly and very helpful. It's deeper in the valley, but well worth the drive. read more

They are great! Lopaka was amazing as a consultant and spent a lot of time figuring out our needs. He coordinated everything for us with Larry and Dayne for delivery. Next the delivery went so smoothly and efficiently. Dayne went the extra mile with me the day before because we were working on some very specific measurements. He took the time to help assuage my concerns and then he and Larry came the next day and delivered the palm and we had a lot of fun doing it. These guys are great. read more

Beautiful farm with extremely healthy plants as well as grass varieties sold out in other locations around the island. The workers couldn't answer a lot of my questions but were very nice. They assisted with moving plants so I could access ones in the back and helped take the chosen ones to my vehicle. Will return! read more

Visited several nurseries in the same area. What set Sharon's apart is the friendly and helpful staff. We were extremely happy to find they had a lot of water plants which is exactly what we were looking for. The prices are great and the selection is of different varieties is awesome. One of the staff immediately greeted us and asked if we needed help. He pointed ya to the plants we were looking for and later came by to help us take them to our car. Came back here hoping to get ideas for starting another project. I came here last time and was extremely pleased with the help I got. This time unfortunately not at all. I was very disappointed and bummed to hear that the previous manager Tayler was no longer there because she was always such amazing help. I tried getting help from a gentleman there but he had no idea of any insight on plants at all. I then got passed on to another guy who also knew nothing about plants. I asked if there was anyone there who could give me inspiration or ideas for what I was looking for and nobody could. The place also looked like it's gone downhill as of recent. So many weeds all over the place. Ended up leaving without anything. Very sad to see. Hopefully they can get some female workers that are compassionate or at least teach the guys there how to handle customers. read more

A beautiful, huge place with so many plants. We generally start at a different local plant place and come here next to fill in whatever we could not find. We really love this place but the prices are higher. They are helpful and kind and have a gigantic amount of plants for sale. I first came here about a month ago looking for some plants for our backyard. It's a big nursery with beautiful views and alot of plants. I needed to replace some plants that died and wanted to make sure the new ones I'd put it wouldn't die either. Taylor helped me figure out what plants would do well in my area as well as please my wife's pickyness. Thankful she took the time to drive us around the whole property and show us different options. Been coming here for the past 3 or 4 years and I'm very upset to say this place has gone down hill. I came in on Monday August 26th and it was a mess. The worst I've ever seen this place look. I did a project for a customers yard last year and was extremely pleased with the help quality and selection this place had to offer. Worked with the women there and they were all amazing. Place looked great and quality of plants were awesome too. But this last visit not at all. There were dead plants all over the place not much selection and weeds every where. Wanted to look at some palms and a gentlemen offered to help but could not answer any questions. Then I tried calling the phone number later in the day and the girl on the phone couldn't help me either. So sad to see. They had a sign out front that said yelp us well here it is. Hopefully something happens to help this place get back to how it used to soon read more

28 acres out in Waimanalo, or was it 20? I don't remember but the place is big. When I walked up the lady told me someone will come to help me out. Sure as hell someone did, a big ass Doberman. It was running straight for me. For a minute there I was like, sheeet, but the dog is no threat, it just ran by me. Her name is Leah and she is 3.5 years old and a sweet dog. So don't run for your life when you see her run up to you. Troy came to help me out. He was very knowledgeable and informed me of the difference between the "street" names of the plant I was looking for and the "scientific" term. I was looking for Jasmine vines and he was like WTF? Do you mean Stephanotis? Sure, do I look like a freaking botanist, I'm just here cause the wife sent me. He was like cool I got you. Drove me to the site, got my plants, paid and even brought out a book for me to look at so I can learn more about the plant I bought. I would definitely return back to this place and highly recommend for your landscaping needs. read more

Such a big place. The inventory of plants doesn't seem to change. Some of the best prices on plants that I find in Waimānalo especially compared to places in town or big box stores. We needed some new plants so went to look last month. We use this nursery a lot. It has such a good supply of different plants and they are inexpensive in price. Better price and selection then Home Depot or Lowe's. The girls are so pleasant to work with and knowledgeable. Today though the girls were off for the day. My husband and I were surprised that we weren't welcomed. We looked around and still no one approached us. I finally found 2 males sitting at the picnic table outside. I asked why there were no colored plants like usual. They just looked at me and didn't answer. I asked again. One of them said "this is what we usually have". I went to look at the indoor plants and one of the males acted like it was an imposition to take care of me. I walked out and he jumped in a jeep passing by me without a word. The other male was no where to be seen. The plants looked like they hadn't been watered in a long time. It looked like they were going out of businessI guess they didn't want our business. I recommend this place but maybe call first to see what plants they have and if the girls are working. read more

They posted a picture of a tree I've been looking for. Price was reasonable. Parking is outside along the main road. Walk in to your right. If no ones at the office there's a number posted for help. They quickly came and helped me. They offered me to walk around as we pleased so I'm sure you don't have to check in. There are many nurseries in the area.
