The price for small two inch pot was $3 as of this writing which is cheaper than what you can find in town as they are the growers/caretakers. Lynn (I think that is how you spell her name) is great. She is very customer service oriented and will only sell you the best that she has. You can pre-order how many succulents you want for events and she will set them aside/take care of them for you until the day of your event. She is also very knowledgeable about the plants and in general has a good energy and easy to talk to. The location is behind a gated area, so you need to call the number to get in. She takes cash, credit card (for a fee), and Venmo for payment. Overall, I love that I was able to support this small business and get quality succulents for my events. Mahalo!

Average price for one orchid plant in a ceramic pot was too expensive (over $150) for my budget. I was feeling defeated when I came across Kawamoto Orchid Nursery. The price was perfect, just right for a single orchid plant potted with green foliage, moss and a decorative butterfly in an elegant ceramic pot. The best part was the delivery fee was included in the price! I couldn't believe it, I thought I had misread the final price, most places were charging average $20 extra for delivery! The nursery had a few hibiscus plants, but not the one I saw at Happy Plants, which was a large flowered purple and pink beauty. I did end up purchasing a nice yellow one with dark center, and it was $20. I was told at the time that there would be no more re-stocking of plants as the owner was planning to sell the nursery due to loss of land lease to the state, what a shame. If you want to get your hibiscus fix on, visit Ladybug Plants before they cease operations!

It's in a neighborhood so please be mindful and respectful of the area and where you are parking. Paula is super helpful and extremely nice, she wanted to help me find the plants my heart desired. Talking to her was such a treat, you can tell she enjoyed her plants and nursery. Looks like she is open on weekends 10am - 4pm. I was looking for some plants to take back to California with me and since it needs to be soil-less I had to make sure I was able to take the cuttings of the plant. Paula had a bunch I wanted to take back as her prices are extremely fair. I don't know about you guys but these days it's hard to come by plants where it's not completely overpriced. I was able to grab a couple hoyas and hopefully they survive the plane ride back! Thanks again Paula for the sweet plants, I'll be back for sure!

Don't expect a Home Depot or an organized, super neat store like surrounding. The displays of plants are everywhere and you really can find some beautiful gems. Bring cash and mosquito repellent and a hat as it gets very hot. This nursery is an experience and really what Hawaii used to be. The service is matter a fact and genuine. You see a lot of chickens and a feral pig that is not to be touched. There are so many local plants..anything you are looking for. Walk the aisles and just wander looking at all the fruit trees, flowers, and whatever else native to the islands. Treat the trip as a nature walk to explore old Hawaii and you can buy almost anything. We found beautiful yuzu trees..felt so happy with our purchase. Enjoy the experience and keep an open mind and open heart.

They also now host a former floral shop, Pua Hana from Kaimuki, who provides leis/ haku leis for sale. I've taken classes when they used to do them at Surf Jack eons ago. Service is friendly and I love their selections of plants, florals, prints, and knick knacks. I wish I could take home many, but can't given I am not local to Oahu. It seems they have relocated to a different location now and and are no longer at the Salt shopping plaza.

The space is on the smaller side but there is a ton to see! I feel like I made at least three rounds around the shop during my visit cause I kept discovering new things I missed before. They have a selection of fresh cut flowers and greens (don't forget to check the fridge in addition to those out on display in the front). Some potted plants available of various sizes, lots of unique planters of various sizes, and cute plant-related gifts. There was a cute station of native seed packets too! There is a soil mix station if you want to make your own. It's on a smaller side though so probably best for smaller plants and/or terrariums. The staff were busy preparing for an event and the store was going to be closed for a portion of their typical business hours so if you're traveling from far away, it might not hurt to call ahead to confirm their hours for that day. Everyone was friendly though!
