History
Established in 2024.
Deep Local Heritage: Founded by Christopher Patrick Barrington—a direct descendant of four foundational Georgia families spanning nearly 1,000 years of combined state history—we operate with an old-school, "built-to-last" work ethic.
Guild-Certified Craftsmanship: As a member of The Guild of Professional Sharpeners, we use professional machinery and hand sharpening to restore factory-sharp (or better) edges to your essential tools without removing unnecessary metal.
Meet the Business Owner: Chris B.
At Sharp Artisan, knife sharpening and tool restoration is an artisan craft—not a high-volume assembly line. True bench-craft requires a deep understanding of steel geometry, metal hardness, and edge dynamics. Every blade on my bench has a purpose, whether it’s a set of everyday kitchen knives used to feed your family, commercial chef cutlery keeping a busy kitchen running, or vintage hand planes, woodworking chisels, and high-end Japanese and German blades.
I take the same meticulous care with household knives as I do with delicate, high-hardness cutlery and historic carbon steel. The craft lies in reading the metal—selecting precise angles, choosing the right abrasives, and preserving the steel’s temper.
Whether tuning shop tools, profiling tactical steel, or restoring home kitchen cutlery, I treat every tool like my own. I look forward to keeping your edges razor-sharp.
