"Hello, Love!" This…read morewas my first perfect Broadway theater experience. And like many firsts, you cherish it. It's a well crafted drama that moves seamlessly from one story to the next. Seam...Less. So well acted. I only was familiar with Charlie Cox (Daredevil), and before the play started someone raved about Geneva Carr (Hand to God), so I was already jazzed. There's choreographed bits between acts. You might think them odd, but they were very much needed. This is a dialogue heavy character piece, with 4 chairs as your only visual distraction. Doug Hughes KNOWS the human mind, and knows that it needs a break, a palate cleanser if you will. It's a tight, balanced production that envelopes you. Well, the people in the first row... almost literally. Nice seats if you can get 'em. "3 stories. 21 characters. 4 actors." Not once did I get a character confused. The accents are spot on. Morgan Spector's flat Midwestern twang was my favorite. There was no way to confuse the characters despite the fact that there's no costume changes and a single prop, outside of the chairs. Cox and Spector age before your eyes. Cox's character being the most absolutely heart wrenching. Heather Lind provides the majority of the comic relief. I'm a little intimidated by unemployed English lawyers now. She had swagger out the ears. Though it's a balanced ensemble piece, I think Carr was the engine. Her characters brought all the angst and propelled everything forward. It was perfection. I can't find a single flaw. The length was perfect. No intermission to mess up the flow. The sound made a couple of people jump at the beginning of the choreographed bits, but I've been in louder plays that almost gave me a heart attack between every damn act like I didn't know it was coming. But I was perfectly fine with this. Gosh, I loved this play. I want to see it again.

I can see you scratch you head until you tough your brain, Incognito is a very confused broadway show that tell us the story of a pathologist that steals the brain of the greatest Albert Einstein; a neuropsychologist embarks on her first romance with another woman; a seizure patient forgets everything but how much he loves his girlfriend. Incognito braids all these mysterious stories into one, breathtaking whole that asks whether memory and identity are nothing but illusions. I will not go into much detail of this work, I can only say that very confusing and you should pay close attention from beginning to end. Unfortunately, it was none of those things for me. The space itself was cozy and full of promise, but once the show kicked in, it never came close to fulfilling anything that I was hoping it'd be (although I had a sinking feeling when I first walked in and replied to a "bonsoir" in very basic French, the actress looked like a deer in headlights. le sigh). While the actors mostly gave it their best shot (and had some cute moments), overall this really felt like a local high school production. They also occasionally interacted with people sitting near them, and that somehow makes it immersive? Le sigh x 2. My boyfriend and I were very excited for it to end so we could grab a drink elsewhere. Too bad.

This is a unique form of entertainment which would be a perfect fit for a couple looking to have a fun pre or post dinner experience and even to be booked as a private event for a larger group looking to enliven their senses and their understanding of an artist from the mid 19th century. I also loved that it was only about an hour long. I googled Toulouse-Lautrec before the show which was good too because I went in with an overview of his life. This show makes me realize how prudish we have become as a society and how much more fun things seemed to be back then. Enjoy!

This performance of Cabaret was such an incredible experience! The August Wilson Theatre is currently housing the Kit Kat Club and features a round rotating stage in a delightfully intimate venue. From my vantage point, I couldn't spot a seat with a bad view. And the acoustics are amazing! As we entered, our phone cameras were stickered to block guests from taking photos during the performance. I willingly obliged, but was surprised to be reprimanded long after the show had ended & all the performers had left the stage. I did save my sticker & it lives on my laptop now. The pre-show performers were fascinating, and the musicians were equally talented. We splurged on FRONT ROW tables with the stage side dining and have zero regrets. We were literally inches from the performers! The amount of charcuterie served to us was egregious, and we appreciated the option to pack everything into takeout boxes for snacking later. Extra notes that may or may not be helpful: on our way to the theatre, walking up Broadway from 45th Street, my friend tripped & sprained her ankle, so we needed to take a Lyft as she couldn't continue walking. Luckily my husband was with us to help her limp through. Upon arriving at the August Wilson Theatre, we found the entry door for stage side dining wasn't very close to the box office, and my friend was too flustered to find her ticketing email, so I walked over to the box office. I only needed to give her name and our four tickets were printed quickly. Once inside, the theatre manager brought over some instant ice packs & medical tape for my friend's ankle to use during the show. I enjoyed this show SO MUCH. The August Wilson Theatre has been perfectly recreated into the Kit Kat Club! I definitely want to see Cabaret here again with the current cast, and also future casts.

I don't want to ruin it for others, so I'll leave it at that. If you are there to see Adam Lambert and Auli'i Cravalho, they did not disappoint. Great show that deserves to be checked out.

Throughout the whole communication process Eddie was always available and responsive. They came very early on the wedding day to complete their setup to make sure all of their equipment was working okay. I knew from conversations with Eddie that he has handled many large events and weddings before so it was a great feeling having zero concerns on our wedding day. The energy they brought to the reception hall was unreal and I can't believe they know how to perform such a great amount of songs. It's been a few months now but our guests still can't stop talking about their performance and how we had the best music of any wedding they have ever been to. NYNY Dueling Pianos truly made our wedding memorable not only for us, but for our guests. Thank you Eddie and team!!

Speakeasy Dollhouse is a truly fun immersive theater event where you can be as involved or as…read moreuninvolved as you prefer, and all the action/romance/violence/intrigue happens in the space around you. You arrive through a relatively creepy outdoor alleyway guarded by some probably-corrupt policemen. If you get there early enough, you'll witness what appears to be an assault of some kind (more on that later). After passing through a tiny Alice-in-Wonderlandesque door, you find yourself in the 1920s. It's hard to tell at first what's going on and where to look, but if you ask around, you'll eventually find Frank Spano, the proprietor. From there the love triangle surrounding him becomes apparent, and story starts to unfold. There's good swingy jazz, varied drinks (served in teacups or paper bags, a la prohibition style), a lot of good looking people, and a fair amount of pageantry (burlesque, singing, fighting, a funeral, gunplay, a murder trial, etc.). Look to get paid off by local mobsters to lie in court, gossip with local crooked politicians over poker and whiskey, walk in on an illicit affair or marital spat, or get into the smuggling business by brokering a deal between Spano and the local authorities to release his impounded truck full of Canadian Club. If you've got a strong back, become a pallbearer at Frank's funeral. Don't miss seeing the nude corpses in the medical examiners office, including the person on the losing end of the assault I mentioned earlier. Not for the faint of heart. The best part of the story is that its all based on actual events in creator Cynthia von Buhler's family history. Truth is indeed stranger than fiction, but whether or not it's all really true, you will have fun one way or another. My advice is not to come with people you haven't seen in a while, because I t's better if you have to strike out on your own a bit to mingle and become a part of the story. Even if you just go for a night out on the town with no intention of talking to anyone other than your SO, dress up in your 1920s finest so you can be an extra in everyone else's fantasy, which is a great way to spend a Saturday evening.

I felt like I'd stepped back in time and loved that so many participants dressed up and took their roles seriously. On my first visit, I was cast as Dominick's teacher and I loved my role. Both Mary Spano and her son, Dominick, made me feel as if I was really part of their story. It's hard for me to think of them as actors because I so thoroughly identified with them and their story. Stepping back, though, all the actors were terrific and very welcoming. They seamlessly absorb the crowd in the story. But Mary Spano and Dominick's performances really stood out. I felt for both these characters and especially for Mary. I was there when she was in labor, holding her hand and praying with her. On my second visit, I was cast as Dutch Schultz' girlfriend. Dutch was very quick with the improvised repartee we exchanged and handsome to boot; so I enjoyed that role and got to confront his wife by the bar. Still my favourite spot was in Mary's room - where a lot of the key action unfolds, including the secrets we learn about the Spano marriage. Mary and Dominick delivered poignant performances each time. And the atmosphere inside the Speakeasy is sexy and fun. Highly recommended for a great evening out.

I found Otsie Kerplotsie on mommypoppins in November 2010 and after watching his video on line, I…read morehired him for my son's 5th birthday party. There were 24 kids at the event. Otsie showed up exactly on time and although he was supposed to perform for 1 hour, he stayed at least an extra 25 minutes. The kids were hysterical the entire time!!The parents loved him too. I have hired at least 10 entertainers for my three kids over the years and have attended countless birthday parties with clowns..... no one compares to Otsie. The kids also love his whimsical and non-scary appearance. He also performed at my daughter's Communion to a mixed age group and most recently at my youngest son's birthday. He's yet to disappoint!!!

The room has a great view over Columbus Circle and, equally important super acoustics. Overall, it was a sensational evening and recommend you check out their programs. To add, our tickets enable us to head afterwards to the adjacent Dizzy's Club without a cover, where there was a fantastic small jazz trio. An amazing evening!
