This is a father-son team. Hector is the father and Hugo is the son. I set up an appointment for them to come to my house Thursday between 2 pm & 3 pm. By 4 pm, they were NC/NS. So I gave them a call. Hugo apologized and said they would arrive in 10 minutes....which they did. This is the only reason I am not giving this review 5 stars. Hugo did most of the talking. Light fixtures in my MBR closet and bath were not working. Father & son quickly diagnosed the problems. The light switch in the closet was replaced as it was some how broken and the switch in the bathroom was repaired. The entire job was completed very professionally within less than an hour and light was restored to both rooms. Bill for the work was $185. I guess pretty standard. We were looking for an electrician in the area that was highly recommended and at the same time paid attention to details. We needed to replace some dated track lighting with 3 upscale kitchen pendants. Since I can, (at times?) be demanding, a perfectionist and a real pain in the arse, projects can get dicey. Enter Sharp Electric. From the initial call, Hugo was the consummate professional; Polite, articulate, courteous and a great listener. He scheduled us right away and provided a rough estimate right over the phone. When they arrived, his brother, Hector spent quite a bit of time listening to the aspects of the project that were important to us. Hector introduced us to his father, Hector Sr; yes, this was a 3-man crew; the father and 2 sons and, yes, these guys rock. They used lasers to insure perfect geometric spacing and dimensional placement of the pendants. They installed new junction boxes, ran new wiring and gave us dim-able control over the pendants even though the track lighting wasn't dim-able. The end result? They nailed it! I called sharp electric friday for a blown circut breaker and some other problems and the phone was actually answered by a person instead of a voice mail service. I spoke to Hugo who said he would meet with me on monday between 11:00 and 1:00. On monday Hugo showed up at 11:00 on the dot and quickly went to work after getting the info he needed from me. This company was assigned by my insurance to fix the electrical wiring on my rental in Tucson because hot water heater is not working and my tenants have no hot water. I have called everyday for the last four days and have not received a call back. I was thinking there was a problem with the phone line until I read these reviews. Called for an estimate on electric work at my home. I bought an older house that needed some electric work done. A Gentleman came by my house. He was really nice and talked to me about everything that I wanted fixed. He told me that the owner would send me an estimate in about a week. It has been 3 weeks with no response. I'm so very impressed with this company. Picture this: it's 3pm, Friday afternoon. You go to fix a tripped breaker and hear buzzing in your electrical panel... That should not be there. So you open the panel and find the main power line into your​ house is melting. Not good. After calling several companies who either A) won't answer their phones B) say they can come out next week or C) go straight to voicemail, Hector at Sharp Electric actually answers. They were here within an hour, were extremely professional and polite, and did a great job for what I consider a reasonable price for a licensed electrician. They will need to come back to replace a special order breaker and made sure we know they have to redo most of what they did today but you know what, that's okay. Because they explained it all! We recently sold a house, and wanted all of the electrical outlets and switches updated repaired. After calling three other electrical companies in Tucson, Sharp Electric responded quickly and gave an estimate based on the information I gave them via internet. Hector called and explained the new codes (since the house was older). We were then able to agree on what needed to be done, and an appointment was set. Unlike other service companies, this family-run company (Hector, his father, and brother) showed up on time as they said they would. Together, they renewed all of the electrical needs in the house in a few short hours. The estimate quoted was what they charged. They were unable to replace an exhaust fan that we requested, however, because it was old and of a different style than is currently installed. Hector promised that he would find the parts to complete this task, and he was true to his word. A very nice job was done in order to modernize the exhaust fan before the new owners took over. We were very pleased with their professional expertise. They were very polite, true to their word, and thorough. They checked all of the repairs and replacements and did not leave a mess for us to clean up. We highly recommend using this company if you need any electrical services done.
