In the process of estimating, Trevor suggested a route for the conduit that was much better than I had in mind. Given that Parker and Sons has thousands of reviews and a 4.7-star rating, I figured they must be…read morereliable. I had a technician come out to do an electrical inspection, and he listed several issues. The total estimate for repairs was over $30,000. This was a lot of money, so I naturally got a second, third, and fourth opinion to make sure everything was legitimate. I did not tell the other companies that I was getting multiple opinions, as I wanted "honest" assessments. All three of the other companies agreed on one major issue that needs to be repaired, estimating the cost at around $5,000-$7,000. When I asked about the other issues Parker and Sons pointed out (e.g., water damage), they said they did not see any of that. They double-checked and, for example, explained that the "water" was just normal grease from the initial installation. Basically, it seems like the technician who inspected my house from Parker and Sons tried to overcharge me by tens of thousands of dollars. Maybe others have had better service or received more reasonable quotes, but I strongly caution everyone to get a second, third, and fourth opinion. Personally, I will never use Parker and Sons again, nor will I recommend them after this experience. I immediately canceled my subscription with them. Be careful everyone.
