The microwave was only 5 years old so I didn't suspect it was causing the problem since I've had microwaves over the years that last 10-20 years. Volt came out and charged me almost $1,000 dollars to assess and supposedly fix the issue. (It was $959, just looked at my checking acct). He also told me he likely needed to come back out again and do a more thorough assessment of the electricity which wouid be another $1500-$2500 since they "could not guarantee the issue would be resolved long term". I declined to agree to this and now realize I was being set up. The breaker started tripping again that very week. After thinking it through, I wondered if it could be the microwave itself. I called another company, Modern Electric out of Green Valley. They literally took less than 10 minutes to evaluate the problem--it was simply the microwave. They charged me $125.00 for the visit. I'm so fuming mad at being treated so dishonestly by Volt Electric. There should be a way to turn them in for this dishonesty and I might just do that to the registrar of contractors. I am not a person to leave bad reviews, but this is a serious breach of ethics by this company.

I didn't particularly like the guy with his up sell as to me needing some sort of sanitizing light in the blower cavity for mold. The estimate was way over the top! But he checked out all parts of the system thoroughly, said things were in order, and that was great. Then the summer visit came yesterday and don't know where the communication breakdown came but when i talked to the scheduler a couple of months ago and made the appointment, I immediately documented it in my Google calendar. Well, yesterday's appointment was to be between 8 and 10 AM. Then 10 AM came and went, and so did 10:30 and 11:00 AM. I called at 11:30 and was told that my appointment was late afternoon. I said no thanks cancel my appt and hung up. Within about 20 minutes or so I get a call from technician David, whom was told to call and report to my home. Very nice guy, we talked about the system, do's and dont's. He went outside and checked things, hosed out the inside of Condensor fan housing and the coils. He said everything looked great and we were done. Upon reading other reviews, it looks like most customers had a good experience, so I as well would say they are worth a try.

Zach got the call and arrived on time. He fairly quickly found that the old ceiling light fixture had seen better days and recommended we just replace it with a modern one. It didn't end there, Bobby showed up to install my unit early in the morning he was super friendly and took the time to meticulously install my unit and explained everything to to me. Every step of the installed he explained what he was doing and why and checked with me to ensure that I was happy with each step that he took. And just when I thought things couldn't get any better Ray shows up with over 36 years of experience. Ray came through double and triple checked EVERYTHING. When my unit powered up he instantly heard that my unit was not running to optimum performance and found a filter in a return vent that it didn't belong (thanks tenants) but that's what over 35 years of experience gets you with Ray. Once my unit was up and running Ray discovered that the compressor didn't come with enough gas to power up the AC unit RAY AND BOBBY came to the rescue again and drove an hour for more gas. They refused to leave me without an AC unit. The guys said they would not leave me until it was right and they did just that.
