Literally made this account just to write about this experience. Nurse practitioner, Peter Tannous, may both sides of your pillow always be cold. I've visited this MinuteClinic several times for flu shots and TB tests, and while wait times can run longer than expected, I understand why. Between walk-ins, limited providers, and the unpredictable nature of healthcare, delays are sometimes unavoidable. This visit was no different. While waiting for my general medical exam, I noticed a steady stream of patients being checked in. At one point, an older couple at the front desk seemed to be having trouble navigating the walk-in process. Peter stepped out of his room repeatedly--at least five times--to help translate and explain the system to them. Despite his efforts, they seemed confused about how to proceed and would repeatedly approach the front whenever a name was called, even when it clearly wasn't theirs. By this point, I was about 10 minutes past my scheduled appointment, and the waiting room was getting busier. Peter calmly explained to the couple that he could only perform the specific TB test they wanted to sign up for, while they were requesting multiple services that the MinuteClinic doesn't even offer. Shortly after, he called my name. As I walked up, I overheard other patients expressing frustration about the wait, with some even canceling their appointments. Meanwhile, Peter just sighed and immediately returned to providing professional, attentive care. During my appointment, he was nothing but kind, focused, and respectful. I had forgotten some required forms for my exam, and he was incredibly understanding--allowing me to quickly run to my car to retrieve them. He also took the time to give me thoughtful advice about my future in nursing, which I truly appreciated. Unfortunately, the earlier couple continued to interrupt, knocking on the door multiple times during my visit. Each time, Peter had to step away to explain that he was with a patient, while they grew increasingly frustrated that he couldn't drop everything to assist them immediately. He apologized to me every time he paused, though I didn't mind. I could clearly see the situation he was managing. That experience alone was a powerful reminder of what our healthcare system is. In the single hour I was there, it felt like a full shift's worth of challenges. Patients don't get the care they genuinely need, incompetent people don't do their research, and providers that ARE present become ill-equipped punching bags. It is a constant cycle. TLDR: The minute clinic here is a disaster. I agree with other reviews that it is understaffed and often overbooked (walk-ins are not as simple as they seem). Patients deserve timely, high-quality care, but it's also important to understand the system's limitations. IF YOU are standing there, signing up for a 10-minute TB test, as it was the only appointment available to make online, and then are SHOCKED when the only 1 NP working there tells you they cannot perform the 50-minute appointment you ACTUALLY wanted to have done in that 10-min slot, then YOU are the problem. Understaffed or not, it is the few entitled/ignorant people I see from time to time that cause the greatest disturbance in ANY healthcare clinic/hospital/pharmacy/you name it. Healthcare providers are humans too, who get overworked like the rest of us. They work under pressure, juggle multiple responsibilities, and still strive to give each patient the care they deserve. Before leaving a harsh review about "bad service," it's worth considering the bigger picture. read more

Every time I go to this minute clinic whoever is there always help and I've never had a bad experience here but yesterday I had the best experience with the nurse practitioner Peter, he was so nice, professional and he went above and beyond to help me with everything I needed. Great experience here this morning getting a typhoid vaccine for travel! The nurse practitioner was very kind & nice to talk to. I wish i got her name, but she had blonde medium curly hair. She had a gentle hand & was thorough. Easy check in through the kiosk too read more

Having to get a last minute sports physical for my daughter so went online to make appointment. Website said there were no appointments available but walk in would be accepted. Drove over and went in. Ghost town, no staff, just a screen to check in. Tried to check in but was told nobody was available! Giant waste of time. Never again. read more

Said they were taking walk ins. Sat there for an hour. Dr came out to say they wouldn't be able to see us today. If doctor hadn't walked out of the room I would have sat there all day with no notification that I wasn't going to be able to be seen. She said they only schedule 1 person at each clinic. Maybe consider scheduling more if you are turning people away. She said it is always like this. Just go to urgent care. That was only a 30 min wait. read more

I scheduled a TB test online and was notified 10 minutes before - when I was already there, that it couldn't be done. Absolutely horrible customer service, there was nobody even there to receive people who were coming in. There's supposed to be a health concierge, there was no one. Showed up at 7:45 to be the first in line and they wouldn't see me even though the entire clinic was empty. They said no walk ins only with an appointment. They could have easily seen me without an appointment since no one was there, but that is just the type of care and support you can expect to get from these people. read more

The nurse that helped me Carol, was awesome! Knew what she was doing, great bedside manner and got it my exam done quickly. Didn't feel at all I got cut-rate service because of the price. Looking at the bigger picture this is the type of convenience and cost this Country needs more off. Use these guys for a poster child for what the Affordable Healthcare Act could be! Walked into Minute Clinic on Fletcher Parkway where NP Nancy Nguyen attended to me. She is Fantastic. She is very kind, thorough and professional. The Pharmacy staff was friendly and wait time was 7 minutes. Being a place that the quality of care I received was the best, I highly recommend this CVS Minute Clinic. Tracie Nusca did a great job. I did not have to wait too long and if my physician's office had told me I could make an appointment online, then I could have timed it better. She was very thorough and explained all the things she was doing. I think she spent more time on my visit than some other places do on wellness checks. The waiting room and the CVS were clean and well stocked. I strongly recommend this option if you have some medical issue that can be treated in this clinic. The wait was way less than an Urgent Care and I do not even want to compare it to the East County ER wait time, which is sometime into the days and is standing room only. Used the "save my place" feature online. Walked into the store and waited 5 minutes. Zoomed ahead of the people in front of me. Nurse practitioner was training someone else and they were both wonderful. In and out (with prescription) in 1/2 an hour. I have insurance through Sharp and CVS minute clinic has a partnership with them. Cost me $40, which is $20 more than urgent care, but well worth saving myself a 6 hour wait in a room full of sickies. read more

They do good work but "minute" is laughable. There are 2 exam rooms, and I would think in a minute clinic, the turnaround would be 20-30 min but one of these rooms has been patient-occupied for at least an hour. Plan to wait for 1-2 hours OR plan errands in the surrounding area. Sitting and waiting this long listening to crappy music and feeling ill is just awful. Also I was quoted 60 min wait. I Would Never recommend this place to any one if they keep Nurse Becky Carroll, she is in the wrong occupation, she has no compassion, no consideration and definitely no customer service skills, she is a Horrible person. I saw Rebecca Carroll. I was referred by my insurance to come into the minute clinic because I have a bee allergy. I was stung by a bee a few years back and my foot swelled up twice it size. It happened again and I came in before the swelling got out of hand to get a steroid shot. Rebecca did not give me a shot but recommended clariton even though I told her about my last bee sting and how I couldn't walk for a week. JUST PAID $50 to get advice that my 12 year old cousin could have given me for free!! Also they were out of the 10 pack Claritin tablets so I had to pay $30 for the large pack. Soo I'm praying that I don't die and get rushed to the emergency room in the next 24 hours. Pray for me. read more

I would not recommend coming here. I paid $40 for the NP to tell me my ear was clogged with wax & she didn't do anything about it other than tell me to buy a product called Dubrox which actually made my situation worse. Her reasoning for not cleaning my ears out herself was because she didn't "want to cause me any pain." Ok then. What am I even paying you for??? I didnt put up a fight & went with her recommendation. Welp, turns out Dubrox only softens the wax, it doesn't remove the wax. On top of it, the Dubrox solution is now somehow sitting on top of the wax that was already there & I cannot hear anything out of my ear. That was a waste of money. My ear is more plugged up then it was before I visited this clinic. In desperation I went back & was greeted by another NP. This guy was about as helpful as an elephant standing in a doorway. I told him my issue & he says "that's normal." So I was like ok, well I'm worried something is wrong with my eardrum. His answer: "you're fine." In my head I am like "no, not being able to hear out of your ear is not fine, it is not normal." The guy didn't even look in my ear to examine it & awkwardly stared at me until I got up & left the room. So now, I am going to have to wait until tmw morning to go to urgent care, where they have real doctors who do their job, where I should have gone to in the first place. read more

I will give this place four stars only because the ladies that saw my daughter were so friendly and nice. We needed a last minute school sports physical and our regular dr. office couldn't fit us in last minute. I made an online appointment at 11am and was told to come in at 11:45. Well we left the house right away and we got there at 11:20. I just didn't want to miss our name being called and miss our appt. and lose our spot in line. Well the doctor that was there was inside the room with a patient and didn't come out until 12pm and then announces she is leaving for lunch and somebody else would be coming in at 1pm. Ok I wish I would have known that before wasting my time. So we walked around the center and waited. The ladies that showed up took us right away. Did a thorough exam and were so sweet and helpful. So I will definitely use them again if I need a last minute appointment but it should be called hours clinic not minute clinic. read more
