If you have interest at all, you should take classes!! The love, care and knowledge put into this museum is really obvious. The employee let us know they closed in an hour, but we should still have enough time (an hour was the perfect amount of time for us to read and look at all the signs). It's priced reasonably enough that I would pay to go back and see it again if I wanted. Tons of signage (haha) to read about the signs. A couple of them had QR codes you could scan to read more about. The history of the sign industry was really cool to learn about, and seeing them lit up and in action was even better. I loved the way the museum was styled and designed, making it look like you're walking down a bustling street complete with storefronts, street lamps, and even a couple fire hydrants. If you're a fan of vintage artifacts and big flashing signs, then this is the place to visit!

One had an attitude, maybe just had a bad day. It was clear that she was annoyed & she didn't want to be there as she kept dissapearing. The other I didn't even know was helping us until the end during the splash paint because I saw her for maybe 10 minutes in the 2 hrs we were there. I've booked parties 5 years now & the girls always help cut cake, pass out cake, ask if kids want a drink, if they want pizza, take their trash when they're done, assist with opening presents, ask if I need help with anything etc & I was surprised none of that was offered. The one girl who was with us the majority of the time didn't say our time was ending. I had kept stressing to her even in the beginning of the party that I just wanted to make sure we had time to do the cake throughout the event. I was ok not opening presents or passing out pizza but I wanted them to sing happy birthday & the kids all get cake. I didn't have time to look at my phone to see the time because I was helping all the kids in the party. The owner came in to let me know that our time was over, the girl didn't say it's over she just left the room. She told us that if we weren't out in 15 minutes that they would charge another 30 minutes add on, so we did that. I feel had the staff made aware the time or asssisted with the things listed above like previous locations have done I wouldn't have been behind. In the splash paint room my daughter was initially separated from her two friends, I asked them to keep those 3 kids together & divide the rest however they wanted. It was her birthday, the two girls were her friends & the rest were older kids. The one girl was frustrated with that. I was surprised that neither of the girls came in the room as they were doing it to help them get the paint. I went in to explain to my daughter who was turning 6 how to do it & ended up staying inside because they needed help. The girl who came at the end was very sweet with them I will say that but she wasn't really there. I don't know if she was assisting people in the front of the building but I just was shocked that they weren't helping inside as it was going on. It was very rushed because of the activities booked but all of the kids had fun. I think if they had more management things would flow better because it was a cute party, the building is beautiful, the kids all enjoyed the activities they did it just was lacking direction & asssitance.

She acted as our wedding planner the day of and made sure everything ran smoothly. The space itself is gorgeous! We had just over 100 guests and it was the perfect intimate setting that we were looking for. We used the mill for the ceremony and the reception was held right next door in the carriage house. They had a bar area that was easily accessible and a lovely courtyard area for our guests to hang out in during the cocktail hour. Since the mill is in a neighborhood, they had valet on staff and all of our guest commented on how smoothly it all went. Overall, I cannot say enough good things about the Shuey Mill and would recommend to any bride and groom who is looking for a picture perfect and stress free wedding venue!!

I recently attended a Let's Talk Womxn Event at The Grove Event Center. The space was perfect for…read morethis event and would be great for so many others. There are restrooms at one end of the hall, a stage, a little nook, and a kitchen in the corner. The parking lot is rather large. The path to get to the event center is a very windy and I was afraid I was going the wrong way several times. However, the ample signage pointed me in the right direction. The front of the event center has a cute awning and nice lights. I would absolutely host an event here.
