New place that opened up in the old Zorba's spot. Very hip, updated and clean on the inside. Lots of college kids working with a boss who is on everyone about cleaning. He was off to the side hand making the falafals, so i ordered one in a pita. You get three toppings, so i chose babaganoush, tabouli salad and tomatoes....and topped with tahini. It was crazy messy but the flavors were right on point. I haven't had anything this tasty for a long time. Falafels were hot and moist. Salad was super fresh and it was slathered with sauce. The COVID precautions were good (staff wore masks, clear divisions set up), and I appreciated the microphones set up so both the staff and customers could hear each other. It has quickly become one of my favorite places to eat on campus. All of their offerings are well seasoned and fresh tasting. There is a plethora of toppings and sauces to customize your meal. Stopped in for lunch today and was surprised by how fast we were able to order and receive our food. The menu was on monitors above the line and showcased what each menu option contained and gave some suggestions for options. We ordered two build your own bowls that include choice of rice, meat, and 5 sides. My wife got the normal chicken and yellow rice while I got the spicy chicken and spicy rice. The 5 options include a variety of fresh sides and I chose falafel, baba ghanoush, arabic salad, pickles, fresh feta cheese and falafel (.75 cents a piece) with a garlic yogurt sauce. I was surprised that we were given 2 pitas for each bowl as well. The food was amazingly fresh and we were only able to eat a third of the bowl with plenty for leftovers. The price of the meal came out to $33 with two build one bowls and one drink. We will be back for the fresh food, freaky fast service (think old Jimmy john's), and friendly customer service. read more

We also ordered the vegetarian bowl with everything-- cauliflower, roasted eggplant, babaganoush, hummus. It was okay. The tabbouleh was really good and fresh. The falafel were so-so, a bit dry. We also ordered a steak rice bowl and opted for the red rice which was really full of cumin. Too much cumin. The steak was a bit dry like it had been cut from the grill too soon and left in the warming tray too long. The baklava is made with canola oil and not butter. We threw that away. This place is awesome! The food is excellent and the portions are huge! The person who was putting my order on a tray noticed that I didn't have seasonings. He made a point to stop and ask if I wanted olive oil and seasoning on my hummus. When I said I did, he took care of it! We all ate until we were stuffed and still brought half home for later. Very generous with the hummus; could have used one or two more falafel and maybe some more veggies. Even though it's not on the online or paper menu you can buy falafel by the piece for $.45 each. Came frequently out of convenience (it's right on campus) and tried a number of different things over the course of many visits. The food is not quality at all. Those who rave about it either don't know Middle Eastern food and what these dishes should taste like or haven't had it from good places (if ever) in so many years that they've forgotten. Especially since this area has very little Middle Eastern offerings, I suppose it makes sense. 80% of the food is subpar and 20% is mediocre. But expectations in C-U are low for certain types of cuisine, and this would be a good example. read more

The lady working the line with blonde hair dyed tips on 4/30 the dinner shift was horrible. She made everything so bad she was not paying attention to me at all. She had horrible communication to her customers. The management at that place had the worst communication I have ever seen.
