The food and service here is consistently above par. Everything from: the shawarma plates(available with beef, chicken or mixed varieties ), the wraps or "sandwiches"(FALAFEL!!!, shawarma,kibbeh,etc.), are very delicious. Plates are served with hummus, pita, whipped garlic,pickled items, and rice or mujaddara. There are also take home items ( or eat in) available at the counter such as: meat pies, spinach pies, desserts, baklavo, grape leaves, etc. Charlie the owner puts very much love into his food, and this also translates into his service as well. This was an unexpectedly good meal; would have been improved by serving on real plates with actual tableware instead of picnic style paper plate and plastic fork. The plate was overcrowded and food got cold. Everything was well prepared and top quality ingredients were evident. My first impression of Shawarma Palace was that they were extremely welcoming. They were out of some menu option because it was a busy day but the owner immediately offered to whip us up a fresh batch of falafel and offered us a discount. I ordered the chicken and beef shawarma plate and my girlfriend ordered the chicken shawarma plate, both of which far exceeded our expectations. The owner took the time to walk us through the plate; explaining what everything was and chatting with us as if we were life long friends. The food was delicious and clean, with pickled vegetables as a delightful palate cleanser. The chicken was cooked perfectly; crispy yet moist and flavorful. The sides of baba, garlic and hummus was incredible with the pieces of pita that were given to us. As we were enjoying our meal, I couldn't help but notice that the owner immediately greeted everyone that walked in with hospitality. At one point, he came around the quaint dining area with a plate of fresh falafel and gave a piece to each customer. At the end of our meal, we went up to the counter to pay and he handed us a plate with two pieces of baklava, which was delicious. I recently started in downtown Worcester and let me tell you, this place is AWESOME. I tried it for the first time last Friday and got the mixed shawarma sandwich with an appetizer of falafel. One, the falafel is the best I've ever had. Crispy and light. Two, the shawarma sandwich was AWESOME. I liked this place so much I ended up going back for lunch today. I got the "shawafel" sandwich with chicken. Just as good as Friday's lunch. This will be a once a week stop for lunch for me from now on. Only downside is the inside is small so it can get really crowded. I suggest calling ahead and not dining in. read more

We had chicken shawarma, beef shawarma, the baklava and falafel. I had never had Shawarma before really, so he walked me through what everything was and how to eat it. We were in Worcester for a campus tour and wanted to stop for lunch on the way out of the city. Shawarma Palace popped up and since good Middle Eastern food is hard to come by where we live, we stopped by. It was the best decision we made all day. 'Hidden Gem' doesn't begin to describe SP...first, the food was amazing. Amazing! Two of us had the Chicken Shawarma plate and the others had the Shawafel Salad (a mix of falafel and beef or chicken shawarma). The portions were generous. The plates all came with hummus and baba ghanoush, garlic sauce, rice pilaf, pickled veggies, salad and pita. The chicken was moist and flavorful, the salad was light and fresh, everything tasted homemade. The best Middle Eastern food I can remember! The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating...it felt like we were dining at a friend's house. We left with more hummus, pitas, and baklava for later. Can't recommend highly enough. Worth the trip to get here. Don't be put off by the size or perceived ambience. The food here does not get much better in terms of Mediterranean flavours or hospitality. Was heading to a show @ DCU last night & was looking for a place to grab a quick bite. After looking at the reviews my friend & I decided to give it a try. When we entered the restaurant we were greeted with a big smile from the owner & immediately felt welcomed. We both got Shawarma plates, I asked if we could have 1/2 chicken & 1/2 lamb & he was eager to accommodate my request. What came out of that kitchen was nothing short of pure heaven. Everything was fresh & tasty & our plates were overflowing with the tastiest food you could imagine. Shawarma Palace is AMAZING. I'd heard great things about it and it far exceeded my expectations. The staff is extremely kind. The first time I ate here, the owner gave my coworkers and I hummus as we waited for our food and baklava after we finished eating. My coworkers love the salads from here but I always go with a plate because it's filled with all sorts of delicious goodness. My favorite is the "shawafal" plate which comes with both shawarma and falafel...who wants to choose between them when you can have both?! If you like lentils then I recommend getting mujadara instead of rice. I love that they have this option because most of the shawarma places around the area only serve rice. The only downside of going here is that there is limited parking downtown. I don't believe there is a parking lot so you might have to circle around the block a couple of times to find a spot on the street. However that is a very small price to pay for the amazing food and service you get here. read more

I had the pleasure of stumbling upon this place while in Worcester for a job training. I had the chicken schwarma platter. Delicious. Came with rice, salad, garlic sauce, pickled veggies, hummus, and pita. The chicken was all white meat, and was tender and tasty.
